Thank you for the heads up about Big Chap. When I heard the leaks I thought that the Scorched Alien was Big Chap, so I know that I would be a bit disappointed if I went through the movie and came to that realization.
It makes sense that big chap would play some kind of a small role they gotta get that alien dna from somewhere to create those facehuggers and other experiments

I'm glad Big Chap isn't the main focus of this. We already have the original film, and that's enough for me. Just being able to see the OG Xeno again, even if briefly is plenty for me, and a smarter decision too.

I’m under the impression that Big Chap is a small part of the film as there is another creature, maybe aside from Scorch that will a big reveal. Just a hunch, but two more weeks and we will know.

@rjth796 fairly certain that's why there's a full nest in the station. It's his new crib. However he will have trouble napping due to two annoying newfangled Xenomorphs. Bro gonna be pissed, can't get no sleep in the station.
Big chap taking a nap throughout the whole movie is actually in character. He's more like a lurking serial killer and was not shown to be animalistic and aggressive as other xenomorphs (or you can say the sequels downgraded them). Probably will nap in the coccoon even when being studied (he be like 'I don't care if they poking me with needles and taking my DNA I'm just snoozing) then strike when the time comes then probably goes back to nap.

Glad to hear this is an early reveal in the film. I got this spoiler against my will months ago and I figured the whole movie would be a mystery as to “what happened on this ship?” and this would be their big revelation at the end.
I also have no high expectations. This new Alien film will go back to it's roots, so I expect the xenomorph has approximately the same screen time as the first Alien film. The first Alien film is 4 minutes shorter than Romulus. Most important to me is the story of the film, as long if it's good. Sometimes the revealing of the story in the film is more shocking than the xenomorph itself on screen.

And of course for me it's no surprise the same Big Chap from the first Alien film will make it's appearance again since they found him in a piece of rock thing that floats into the docking of Romulus, as seen in the trailer. I hope scorched has an personality and mannerisms just like big chap had, and the Sevastopol alien and feral predator had, making them more individuals instead of just an bug like the xenomorph eventually became

Look at it this way, each film's main xenomorph/Predator seems to have a unique personality. We had some smart, intelligent xenomorphs then some just mindless monsters. I do wonder where Scorched will sit in that spectrum. Alien Big Chap: Stalker with some serial killer tendencies and hints of darker intellect Aliens Queen: Big boss and also fiercely intelligent, can negotiate and use elevators Alien 3 Dog Alien: Fast, agile, totally feral and deadly, more like an OP killing machine Resurrection: Genetically altered, smart and also don't give a F about killing their own (likely a human trait) AVP Grid: Smart, agile and deadly AVP Drones: Powerful and agile Alien Covenant and Aliens warriors: Mindless monsters and easily killed
So looking forward to alien romulus . I think most fans who have been watching the trailers have suspected at the very least big chap is in the rock . Which is why they probably revealed this with the neca toy posters. A bit unfortunate big chap doesnt have a bigger role but hopefully smwe will get to know something interesting about it .
I have a suspision that there some alternate shots in the movie compared to the trailers and I would really love to see a video of you talking about the differences from the early cut and the final one in detail.
I think we'll obviously see BC cocoon thing get brought in, cut open and BC being poked, prodded and experimented on briefly, and then he wakes up and raises himself to start some wreckage, and then it'll cut to present time. At least I hope we get to see him in all his full body glory, awake and moving. Or maybe curled up in a dark corner of a cell or something.
Does the Romulus title and the concept of siblings relate to the aliens in the movie or just rain and Andy? Obviously, without spoiling too much for people in the comments.
I’m also trying to prepare myself. The “disgusting “scene that they’ve referred to is it something that most people are going to have to look away for or is it something that it’s so far far out there that you just kind of get the shivers up your spine and then the movie just moves on.

People were already speculating about "Big Chap" so this doesn't even feel like a spoiler for me. I'm pretty meh about this honestly. I feel like a more reasonable tie to the first film would be that Ash was just trasmitting all of the data/genetic sequences of the dissected facehugger to Weyland-Yutani via MU/TH/UR and they set up Renaissance station to muck around with the "printing" of their own versions. It's still fine, it won't ruin my experience of the film.
Wait til you see how it all plays out in context so you can fully judge for yourself. A vague description isn't the best way to form the opinion on how it all comes to be.
Can I ask is ripley shown at all I mean is she shown as asleep like the start of aliens is there any connection with her escape pod to the movie. I’m sure fans have said they can see it in trailers etc
Re: The wolf Predator, the rumor is that the new licensor, Disney, has asked NECA to focus more on new media when it comes Predator and Aliens. I don’t know how that works with the ultimate Predator and Predator 2 figures, I just assume that those are evergreen releases that have decent sell through and are good to keep in circulation.
That’s pretty much what is going on. Disney isn’t looking backward right now, they want to focus on the new things. I really think we will see Wolf eventually, just not for a while.

It's not about Big Chap ....gotcha ;) Every since I got into the Alien franchise (early 1980s), I always thought "do we know Big Chap/The Queen were actually killed, in particular the Queen?". So the fact they "find" Big Chap floating around scratches a 30+ year itch for me.
I think it’s nice having big chap there if for no other reason than to bridge it with Alien kinda like how you can see the harpoon gun in Aliens when they cut the door open in the beginning. I will say I’m excited to see what you mean by “there’s more to him than just this”. I’ve already got my IMAX tickets!
Seeing the human skull inside the dome is just perfect I didn't know if it was there before but it clearly is This detail from the og design went missing untill Alien isolation Wich i think it still is the best Alien design, but i know it couldn't be easily translated into live action But i can see clearly that both the scorched xenomorph and the Sevastopol alien are just variations on the big chap's suit with some changes to make it look less like a suit

It’s like the studios have heard the audience speculating that big chap is in this, and they thought well let’s push this out more for them! And now you’re saying that it’s only gonna be 5 minutes of him, I don’t even understand why the studios even thought this was a great idea to market this further pre-release, when it’s not even a big thing after all! and that the entire movie is instead more focused on the scorched xeno. It’s so dumb they had to spoil this, they shoulda left some room for the imagination of the viewer.
Awesome video. The information about the NECA toys, and the two comic prequels got me more intrigued to see Alien: Romulus ! Love the scorched xenomorph design, and I'm so glad Big Chap is back, even though he's not the main focus in the movie. Can't wait to see how the two prequel comics set up the movie.

The very fact that big chap is found and is in this movie is stupid imho. The chance of finding something that small in space and going in some random direction away from Ripley's shuttle is extremely low. It was sheer luck that Ripley's shuttle was found and that probably had a beacon to home in on. Don't get me wrong, love big chap, awesome design and memorable monster but it should be dead and its body should either still be drifting or its body pulled by some gravitational moon or planetoid.
@@jakicevic Both take the cake really. But an egg appearing in the ship when there was a queen on board (even if there is so many holes in how the egg is where it is) is slightly more believable than finding something floating in space. Just too coincidental. Just my opinion though.
Why did they bother to bring “big chap” back in to the films . I think it does a disservice to the original film. I saw online people saying it was still attached to the ship. I hope that’s not the case. I just re-watched the end of the film alien and it went into space !! so that’s just crazy if they go down that road I don’t think they’re going to. I hope not anyway
Actually you saying it's not the original xenomorph (sorry, won't call it that silly BC name) actually makes me more excited for the film. That would be a cop out. Looking foward to these new Alien creatures. My expectations are simply hoping for a good, scary monster movie. I'm old enough to remember when there was only one Alien movie (saw Aliens when it first came out. I was just a kid but I had to! Scared the crap outta me!). So I've watch the series start strong then get bogged down with crossovers, pseudo-intellectual pap, etc. But judging by the trailers and what you're saying this film is a "return to form".
There is a lot of good new creature stuff in this one. They definitely take it back to basics while making it a fresh new take at the same time. I hope you enjoy when you get to watch it!
I don't get these fans complaining about spoilers. If you dont want things spoiled for you, DONT LOOK AT IT MR GENIUS. As for the upcoming Alien Romulus film? Its again being overly hyped, same as the last few that promiced something different. I hope its great, but not counting on it.
It's hard not to look when every comments section is infected with spoilers because people are openly sharing the leaks that came out as if they are common knowledge. I have folks dropping major spoilers in every video comments section that could easily ruin the surprises for someone who is just scrolling through and wanting to avoid spoilers. I've seen it on every social media site too.

Actually you saying it's not the original xenomorph (sorry, won't call it that silly BC name) actually makes me more excited for the film. That would be a cop out. Looking foward to these new Alien creatures. My expectations are simply hoping for a good, scary monster movie. I'm old enough to remember when there was only one Alien movie (saw Aliens when it first came out. I was just a kid but I had to! Scared the crap outta me!). So I've watch the series start strong then get bogged down with crossovers, pseudo-intellectual pap, etc. But judging by the trailers and what you're saying this film is a "return to form".
There is a lot of good new creature stuff in this one. They definitely take it back to basics while making it a fresh new take at the same time. I hope you enjoy when you get to watch it!

I don't get these fans complaining about spoilers. If you dont want things spoiled for you, DONT LOOK AT IT MR GENIUS. As for the upcoming Alien Romulus film? Its again being overly hyped, same as the last few that promiced something different. I hope its great, but not counting on it.
It's hard not to look when every comments section is infected with spoilers because people are openly sharing the leaks that came out as if they are common knowledge. I have folks dropping major spoilers in every video comments section that could easily ruin the surprises for someone who is just scrolling through and wanting to avoid spoilers. I've seen it on every social media site too.
