Hi! Thanks for another great video. Your Cygnus is on the original globes? That is very impressive! Congratulations on maintaining the system so well. The tips you've shared a very helpful. 👊😎💯
That’s a tricky one, I don’t do garages often…. Just find a trusty Toyota / independent mech who says he knows the system . It’s a hydraulic system driven by pump & actuators, Citroen had done a system like this in the 80’s. That’s the key question to ask the mech before letting him at your car
Rust absolutely buggers the AHC here in the UK. It gets to a point where you need to go to a commercial hydraulics company to rebuild the pipes. I agree that you should keep it, especially if the pipes are in good condition.
Agreed! once the lines start to rust out you are just chasing problems after problems. replacing it with oem stock non ahc landcruiser suspension is no brainer in terms of long terms costs.
Got my 100 series with an aftermarket suspension system... Thinking of going back to AHC. Wondering what that would take (in terms of both workload and cost)
Depends. If the ahc components are still intact, then it involves installing the ahc struts & ahc fluid etc if they’re not intact then can be very tough..
I have LX 470 in India , exactly same . Black color. Done 1.80lac. Great ride. Have you tried LC 200 , How would you comepare suspension ride quality. Regards GKS
@@MasaiGainz when the accumulators are done, would you recommend getting new ones? or switching to a fully mechanical suspension? am asking because it might be hard to get an AHC expert in kenya for the task.
I’d get new ones. Land Cruisers with ahc ride and handle very differently to conventional suspension . It’s a different character. Globes shouldn’t be hard to install, they’re bolt on. Just need to flush the system and add fresh fluid Aswell. There are some good mechs in our country just need to dig deep abit
Does the AHC auto adjust for towing weight? If i hitch my trailer will the suspension compensate for this and raise back to it's normal height like a land rover discovery does?
How should a “healthy” AHC behave in potholes and rough bumps? I thought my is in a good condition- lowers down and rises up within a seconds, there’s a big difference between stiffness settings and it’s pretty good on low speed damping. But I’m not happy that it transfers a lot from the road. Like it can’t handle the short high speed compressions.
@@J63-n9d yep. I think that feel of transfer from the road is due to the 100 series Land Cruiser having a front torsion bar set up vs a coil spring . Though revamping your AHC with new globes could help !
@@MasaiGainz Thanks. By the way, is there any chance you know the correct distance (or what it is in your car) between the center of the wheel and the edge of the wheel arch in the N and Hi positions?
Hi MasaiGainz,I understand you are more on to Land Cruisers.Could you help me get a Toyota Alphard to do transfers for Sarova Whitesands for long term lease.Thank you.
Bro, please can you make a comparison between the zx lc200 and the cygnus or the lc100 Basically compare zx and cygnus suspension and ride quality please If the zx is better i will switch my lc100 amazon to zx if its not i will keep my lc100 amazon
Hello i just disconected the front shockers to evaluate them and them put them back again in place. But, the problem now is that when the shockers were disconected all the suspension fluid from them and the reservoir got empty. After that, we just put 2.5l of suspension fluid back in the reservoir and started the truck but it stayed in low position and dont get up even to neutral height. We didnt took much care of taking the air out of the system or preventing it from getting inside in the first place. My question is if that maybe be the cause of my system faliure? (Before disconecting the shockers the system was working great) thank you
Try start the vehicle and rev up the engine for 5-6 mins , this should allow the AHC pump to run and level the vehicle once more. Aslong as the fluid level is filled to correct level in the reservoir, the vehicle should level.

You are the best bro, kindly recommend garages and mechanics who can handle the AHC system in Nairobi

Great content bwana. My question is where can I buy AHC fluid? What are the service intervals for the fluid?
It’s available. It’s a metal can packaging. Watch my ahc video few episodes before when I was draining and filling it

Will do comparison but I prefer lx470 ride but 200 also has its strengths as kdss system really gives the car a good on road feel and comfort
nice vid, the car looks so nice and rude when lifted, cant one just refill the nitrogen accumulators?
Nope, if they’re compromised they need to be replaced.

Indeed it does!
Good one sir,but just one question between 100serie and 80series which is the best off-road/on-road ,maontainance
Will compare both in a video soon ;)
