Hi mate, thank you very much for all this very helpful videos. Can you please do a video for Tech stream and where did you get Tech stream ? Thanks. 👍👋
Hu, please check your steering angle sensor. The AHC system will misbehave since your wheels are straight but your Techstream data shows 270degrees. It should read zero. You need to do a reset if your vehicle has VGRS it can be done through techstream.
@landcruiserscotland You're most welcome. Also when you check pressures they normally say you should disconnect the temp sensor on the AHC pump. Your pressures will be different.

Nice work. Would you be able to do a video on where to get Toyota tech stream, how it plugs in and what sort of changes can be made with it. Seems to be so much confusing data on that subject.
Seeing the underside of your 100 (and the grey 100) and having seen your videos and how well you overlook explain everything, would there be a possibility of making a video about rust and a landcruiser 100? From what i've heard, all of them are complete rust piles, from chassis to body, like the tailgate for example..., at least in our climate (W-Eur.) I would love a 100 but currently have an 80 that is pretty good so so changing it for a possible hidden pile of rust, wouldn't be the best idea
Hi there great job - I came across this after looking for info on changing a rear shock that leaking - would you say just bleed the relevant sphere and change the shock is the way ?
I think for shocks you need to bleed the entire system AND bleed the shock you want to replace. Factory rear shocks are a nightmare. Many folks cut a hole in their floor to get access
@ I’ve not looked properley yet the system worked really good and the car itself is pretty clean underneath - people are telling me to delete it and go to a manual system (similar cost peddler vs 2 rear shocks) but I am undecided, I read the manual which sounded horrific talking about nitrogen recharge and high pressure - but watching your vid and a few others I thinks is just like a brake system really - the delete video I watched he just cut the shockers off - but can’t do that I guess if you want to retain the ahc connection - I also read I needed a laptop to “purge” the system is that the kit you have or can it be done as you did in the vid with lifting and lowering and then bleeding ?
Bleeding is purely mechanical with a 10mm spanner. Nothing fancy. Just like brakes as you say. The laptop is only needed if you want to read pressures. If the system is bouncy, pressure is too high. If ride height is low pressure is too low. Easy peasy!
@@landcruiserscotlandI’ve taken another look at this and I am 50/50 to get rid of the AHC and go to a basic fixed set up - can I ask what your motivation was for retaining the AHC system ?
@HarrisRallying when it's all working it's the most comfortable car of the 40 or so that I've owned over the last twenty years. It's bliss. Aftermarket kits tent to be hard and over sprung. Also I love having the option to lower the suspension for access.
Thanks for the video. I need to do that on my 2000 LX which has become totally pogo stick like. I am extra heavy with armor all the time and so I can’t stand the ride right now. One question I have is was the ride quality totally restored after this swap ?
Definitely not. It's much improved, but the ride is still firm because of the rife height increase. I think if my height sensors were at normal position it would be perfect. I believe I now need extended drop links on the anti roll bars because they are too tight after the ahc lift.
@@landcruiserscotland yes I have done a few fluid change since I started the pogo action. I don’t have any height sensor tweaks, I have cranked my torsion bars some since I have a heavy bumper and winch up front and I have a set of kings heavy springs in the back. My pressures were ok with all that when I originally set it up and did fluid flush and leveling / pressure test. The LX has been on several Colorado and Utah adventure fully loaded since I.e. “the works” for two weeks in the mountain. Sleeping in it with two dogs and all the supplies! I mean heavy. So….. it has 238k miles and up to my ownership I think it has only seen highway miles.
@@landcruiserscotland no it’s working fine, goes up and down with zero issues . It’s most definitely the globes has all that’s gone bad is rebound dampening, the shocks are fine (maybe a wee bit of wiping but 24 years old …)
Hello, "Land Cruiser Scotland" I saw your channel and saw that in your channel have some problems, not many. For these problems your channel is not growing. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. Do you want to know these problem? If you Want to know, I can only tell to you. Can I tell here or email?
A great job. Very satisfying to watch, never mind what you feel like!
Thankyou. I'm trying to tackle a mixture of modifications and repairs on this old bus

Yes I certainly will - I've made some notes but I need to sit my ass down and film something. It's mighty complicated.

@@hiteshbhudia That also seems like the sort of thing I could test very quickly. Thanks for the advice!
Well done mate, an excellent job. Did you go for genuine oem globes or aftermarket? Looking to do this early next year!
Yes I got the oem ones, but I was able to import them from Japan at about a third of the dealer price
@@landcruiserscotlandwhat site/POC was this from? Thanks!

Yes I have plans to do that, but I need to refresh my memory on how the hell I got it working in the first place :D
Great video. Keep it up pal
Thanks buddy

I had a vast improvement just from renewing the ahc fluid. Not expensive. Do you know when yours was last replaced?

Is it possible the ahc system simply can't cope with the weight you are now running?
