I like how Gabriel calls once in a generation lifts "good" and the best ever "very good".

His wrist position on the lock-out of the jerk is crazy...

    Great content as always, Gabriel!

Why does the federation redefine weight classes every few years? It would be great to see today's athletes attempting to break records from previous generations as seen in other Olympic sports. I don't see how changing the classes is in anyway beneficial.

They do it for trying to cover doping scandals. First times it worked, not much anymore now.

Some categories get too thin after a while and end up being dominated by too few lifters.

To erase "doped" records off the books. It also blurs the overall decline in A-session performance since 1988.

Hey Gabriel, great video as usual.
I would love to know who your favourite taller lifters are (6ft+), both technical wise and your personal favourite?

Yuri Zaharevish never did 110 snatch and 250 c&j at the same
competition. When he snatched 110 at 88 olympics he only managed 245 c&j. He did 250.5 c&j and 203,5 snatch at 88 europeans. I wonder if Akbar did this in the same training session!?

what were zakharevich's best numbers in training session? i think you are the person who knows the most about zakharevich carreer

Supposedly Zaharevish front squat was only 250kg. Nicu Vlad claims to have seen Yuri Zakharevich jerk 300kg, but no pic no proof and all that.
