Awesome! Now that my elbow is better, I've been out on my V8s 4 or 5 good riding sessions in large parking lots. Going to put in a bunch more practice hours and then head out on my first "extended" trip. I want to feel a lot more stable and consistent every time I get on. Seems like now every time I get on I have to "warm up" before getting settled. Trying to get my body to feel "natural" riding so I don't have to think about it, but ride relaxed and smoothly like you guys. Had a great improvement in my turning yesterday, hope I still have it next time I get to ride (hurricane rain coming so probable raining next several days, 😔). Again, great teaching. Safe riding.
Good to hear you elbow is healing. As you probably know the more miles you get out and ride the more your body will acclimate. I always do a bit of warm up before heading out on a run, but it only takes a little bit to wake the muscles up and get them doing what I want. The times when I remember to stretch before riding, I seem to feel better during and after. Hope you all made it through the Hurricanes OK, I can't imagine what that would be like.
Dave's making great progress! Enjoyed the 360 camera as well. Looking forward to seeing more of that. btw: I'm probably 5 or 10 years younger than Dave and I'd need to take a break every 5 min if I were on that trip. My knees and calves get sore, hopefully that'll pass as I get better.
I remember when I first started my calves would ache if I went to long. I don't really notice that anymore maybe because my legs adapted and are stronger or maybe because I now can move and adjust my feet on the pedals as I ride that I could not do when first learning. And yes, Dave is doing great!
Great to watch Dave's journey as an EUC rider. You're a great teacher! Keep up the videos! Starting my journey in a couple weeks--Bought an E20. I ride my escooter everywhere, but EUC is so much more versatile, and on an escooter I'm just a dork on a stick.
Awesome! I started my journey about a month ago. Unfortunately, I injured myself second day out (wasn't wearing elbow pads and banged my elbow on a fence post). I thought about getting the E20 but ended up getting a V8s. Enjoy and safe riding.
I called it an extended ride meaning the longest ride that Dave had taken to date since he started to learn how to ride. We rode a total of 9 miles, and it took about an hour and 15 minutes. We took a leisurely pace to be safe. We are going to join up again soon and maybe shoot for a 15-mile ride!

Thanks Bob, I switched from scooter to EUC. I love being hands free. Anxious to hear how you do on your E20!!

We are dorks on our EUCs too!
Dave is rocking it!!
Who makes that upper-body protection that Dave's wearing?
I asked Dave to check for you and he says it is made by "EXL". I have one similar and it is made by FOX,
Bom
You called this an extended ride. Exactly how long a ride was it and how long did it take?
