I have been there several times when I was a kid. the mid 1970's or so. Was there not a big room with an old train engine car? I remember going downstairs to a room for lunch where they kept all our bagged lunches with the sour smelling milk lol. They are not transferring any of these displays? I remember the Indian ones the most.
I don’t remember a big train engine but they could have been a temporary display. They almost always have a new and temporary display. They may take some items but most are not going to the new museum… unless the people of Milwaukee get what they want. I’ve heard there’s some efforts happening.

Took my little guy there for the first time yesterday, and they actually had the Haymarket candy store open in the Streets of MKE! I was so excited!
