I love how this song still has a chokehold on the entirety of the globe. 2024 and many more years to come... truly timeless music!
I agree that it is still a good song, I personally like it! But this is the literal opposite of timeless, this is so quintessentially 80's that I think it has more 80's in it the the actual decade of 1980, I think that scientists didn't think it was possible to put this much 80's inside a singular thing before Technotronic did this. This is literally what those sweaters that look like bus seats covers would look like in music video form!

The title of the song is actually an anagram of "jam up the pump"
@@knuppel8875 Also of "up the jam pump."
Funny you mention that because the music I would most associate with Canada would be Abba because that's what Evil Otto listened to. Evil Otto was my evil uncle who lived most of his life in Canada before moving in with us in 1982. Oh the pain.
The movie from 2013? That was so boring....
And why tf would a Belgian dance song be Canada's national anthem?!

For some reason I love that she seems tired. In my mind she just got off of work and hit the club like "Alright, let's fucking do this. I need a man tonight." going full force on the dance and without wasting any precious energy smiling and putting up a front.

Nothing can’t beat the 80s or 90s definitely this new generation
"Pump Up the Jam" is one of the earliest known instruction manuals on creating jam which works equally well for nearly any fruit. Before its creation each fruit had an entirely different method for jam creation which took years to perfect. Artisans would specialize in one specific type of jam, learning the recipe as a child and constantly making that one jam for their entire life. Children who wished to make a different jam were often shunned by their families and forced to turn to other professions such as barding to help make their alternative jamming sustainable.
Yesssssss
😂
This manual would have never been written if it wasn’t for the invention of the pump, a full year before this. Prior to the invention of the pump, all forms of liquid and semi-gelatinous materials, were lifted with common ladles. So, credit where credit is due.
That’s how Belgians make jelly

Nothing to do with Canada, thank God. It’s from Belgium. One of the reasons for the collapse of the EU.
