I got some lore for Ryan! Once a civilian on a Rimworld, during a massive expansion of the Covenant, he was part of a fighting force for his colony against the alien invaders. The colony withstood at first, but as more and more troops came, the defense seemed impossible. As the town burned and the Covenant retracted forces once removing the threat, Kig-Yar Pirates moved in to capitalize on the surviving injured. Ryan alongside some other colonists was enslaved... That until Cpt Udo freed him. Alt lore if V.O.I.D. is ever added (please add them I love them) Once a civilian on a Rimworld, during a massive expansion of the V.O.I.D., his fellow colonists were slaughtered one after another, the forces deployed were too fast, impossible to react to, cybernetically enhanced ultra soldiers. As he fought in the trenches of his colony, a V.O.I.D. soldier dashed in gunning down one colonist before jabbing him in the head which caused skull fractures and left him an amnesiac. Kig-Yar Pirates found the V.O.I.D. sieged planet and quickly took whatever they could to avoid conflict with their super soldiers. Ryan was the colony's sole survivor after it was turned into a laboratory for V.O.I.D., turned into a slave... That was until Cpt Udo freed him.
For the Jet car, can't you just make a Garage room and seal it with an Airlock, then just get rid of the ship hull. Just so that you dont have to deconstruct the hull everytime you want to take it out yk.
Pro Tipp for SoS2: If you use a tiny bit of Xenogenetics with Biotech and give your Colonists any Kind of Wings, that lets them ignore Movespeed Penalty of Terrain. f.e. the 21% Moving in Space, your Colonists will run Circles around Boarding Partys and the Wreckage you want to deconstruct.
I'm not a modder, but I think the Covenant mod would be easier to program and more stable if instead of using Humanoid Alien Races they were a xenotype.
Lord knows HAR served its purpose, but after Biotech and Xenotype, its so clunky and bloats the rest of the game. They don't play well together at all. You can have a HAR race be a non-baseliner Xenotype, and it totally breaks the pawn. They were never developed for Biotech children, so those are all broken. And don't even think about cross-breeding with HAR and Xenotypes...
I've suggested this to the standalone Elites mod & I think to that covenant mod already. sad to say it but HAR needs to die & allow for Biotech to do the job so we can finally get that human Elite Hybrid... seriously though in actual Halo lore Male Humans can impregnate a Female Elites egg & produce a viable baby that can reproduce with both parent species & other same type hybrids, But Male elites cannot do so to human females. odd how that works but i guess its the same as Male Chimps can impregnate Female Gorilla's & Orangutans but not the other way round.
I got an idea for your garage on the ship while in space. Basically have the garage area sealed off from the rest of the ship, for all intents and purposes it will be exposed to the vacuum. That way you can have something like a hangar but for vehicles in space that can help defend your vessel from boarding attempts made by mechanoids. And you can easily deploy them on the ground when you land the ship. Not entirely sure if it will work, since I haven't played Rimworld since Anomaly released, but I do plan on eventually getting the DLC and start playing Rimworld once more.
the plans sound but also if light screens & doors was still a thing you could make a Starwars / Covenent style Hanger, as this mod was SoS 1 compatible. also Assuming since vehicles are entities they might be sucked out the hanger on launch / vacuum exposure... OK we need more testing damnit.
Boarding attempts are made more often by standard raiders from ship battles. This can be prevented with point-defense weapons (mainly lasers) or using shuttles as interceptors with lasers attached.
You can create a Zone (I name one Safe), and when raids happen, non-combatant pawns can be sent to it (including Animals from the Animals tab), so that they don't wander out and die on their tasks during a raid.
It’s crazy that all the armor hasn’t been dyed the pirate colors yet. I also think you should try to get more covenant members so that zap zap has someone to relate to.
sos has a suttle and a salvagin bay that i would higly sugggest you invest into, so you can send a boarding party to sabotage enemy ships and/or grabing the pieces of the uncs ships from daves jones locker to adquire, reuse, reduce and recicle( or as the pirates says, Arrr) but for now maybe makin a airlock door where the ship garage is so you can still use the car in space( if you can, i think u could) and making a pirate cove on a moon or large asteroid would be very cool goal
call the ship RK Eternal Jengles cause the monkey sacrificed himself so that his friends could get away on the ship and they want to honor their little primate friend
So this probably won't be seen but I have a good idea for the ship. The ship could be two parts kind of. you make one part the main ship, and a detachable part (Kinda like a escape pod) a invasion pod. you put combat vehicles in it, turrets on the interior (to prevent it being taken) a small hospital, a armory, a shuttle, etc. If you were to somehow see this and take my idea into practice, could you name it "The Dart." for two reasons. Dart, as in swift, so it could lead to a quick invasion, and the more important reason to me, I had a doggo that was named Dart, she had to be put down for medical reasons, and I would like her memory to live on in your series, as you are my favorite Rimworld youtuber. (also you can choose where the ship lands if you use the sensors to look at a hex and then land on said Hex, it could also be used to land shuttles or just for observation.)
An idea for a hangar could be that it is not air tight so you don’t need to block it off and reseal it every time you go to space, I don’t fully know how this mod works with the vehicle mod so the vehicles may get damaged by being in space so I’d test it first with a cheap motorcycle or something

I don't recall what they were) These two, incompatible by nature, brought together through shared hardship, triumph, and loss, making an unorthodox life with eachother among the stars, just sounds adorable (If you ignore all the murder and pillaging). Something I'd recommend for the car garage situation, is to just make an internal vacuum. Have an airlock leading to an open/garage-doored room exposed to space, and just park the car inside. Unless the entire ship _needs_ to be enclosed by hull blocks, that should be fine, shouldn't it? You could take the car in and out no problem, since you won't have to deconstruct and rebuild the walls all the time, venting the ship and wasting resources.

Can you try to get your hands on a covenant Jackel, to be your sniper guy. Every halo pirates needs a jackal sniper. Would also be fun to have 2 more jackets with jackel rist riot energy shields, to deal with any one who has a mental brake. Also maybe have these 2 jackel MPs, act as your wardens for your jail cells.

Maybe an idea for a new series with the mods altered carbon unleashed making a sleeve army mixed with save our ship 2 and some crazy tech factions like iconian tech and kraltech mods for example maybe mixed in with mixing genes of animals and xenotypes like starting with a vanilla sanguophage with a cortical stack and trying to make it where you regrow everything and become immortal with the immortal mod
Because I'm currently playing through Halo 2 for the first time, I can confirm that the sentinel beam is so much more powerful in that game than in Rimworld.

you need to find a louie or a chinook, big project but SO worth it, louies carry like 800 kilos 1 pilot and 5 people, chinooks carry 4500 kilos but only 2 pilots
course trying to bring that on a space faring vessel might be a bit of a challenge, a second option you could make a second garage for is a big rig, 2 driver no passenger truck can carry like 2k kg

You should get the highwayman APC from the vehicle mod. Trust me, its amazing for a tier 1 vehicle.
