35:09, I know you ain't a fan of musicals, and I can understand that. But it be boring if these episodes were just dialogue...at least to me in my opinion. There are just so much that a Musical can tell then normal dialogue, because I can feel the emotions and feel the energy they give..plus these episodes are 23 minutes long, they need to put in as much as they can within that span.

There’s a lot of headcanons (That I agree with.) About Lucifer being autistic. Special interest in ducks, socially awkward and doesn’t pick up on social cues, doesn’t understand very complex things and doesn’t like physical interaction with people who aren’t family. You could also see him fidget and stim when he’s nervous. Just something I noticed and I very much relate to as an autistic person.
Depression can manifest in those ways too tbh. After 10k years of not seeing the good in people and After being cast out of somewhere for just being different; you too would develop certain "tiks" too. He was divorced, cut contact with or kept away from Charlie and forced to see what to him was the result of giving people free will.

Also, info that might be forgotten: in episode 1, Charlie mentioned in the story that Lucifer was banished to Hell for giving Eve the gift of knowledge and creating a gap for evil to get in, which created Hell in the first place. 54:15 There is/was a lot of stuff on the Wiki and in the livestreams that is no longer canon. Nothing is set in stone unless it actually comes up in the shows. Besides that, the Wiki is run by overzealous fans, so not everything on there is accurate and there were some conflicts in the past with people putting downright wrong information on it.

Here’s a funny thought I’ve had for a while. This Lucifer and Hugh Neutron would no doubt in my mind be really good friends. They’re both lovable, duck-obsessed, good intentioned goofballs. They care very deeply about their families and children. And they both just so happened to land very attractive wives. It’s just hilarious to imagine what crazy shenanigans they would get into.
Fakeness absolutely can make people uncomfortable. Especially when someone already knows that there’s a traumatic reason why someone is acting like that. For some people, it creates a sort of…emotional Uncanny Valley effect, because there’s an obvious gap between how that person is behaving and what we know is actually happening. It makes you question constantly whether this person is EVER going to be honest with you or if they’re just manipulating you for someone unknown ends. Speaking from unfortunate experience, more so with abusers than their victims. When you grow up surrounded by such people, you start picking up on subtle cues that someone’s behavior just isn’t matching up, and that can trigger alarm bells in your mind that this person is possibly dangerous and cannot be trusted. It’s one of those coping skills that can be useful…but can also backfire, for multiple reasons. Red flags that are obvious to those of us who grew up like that often aren’t obvious to others, so if we try to point them out, we’re the ones who get accused of being assholes or manipulative. Another reason being that when we encounter someone who behaves that way because of trauma or as a defense mechanism, it’s very easy for us to mistake it for something dangerous and harmful, which can lead to someone lashing out at them without fully understanding WHY they’re reacting that way.

By the way, I'm pretty sure that they *do* hear the beat. I feel the music we hear is what they ALSO hear, so it's not purely just talking. I mostly say this because if it were the case of them just talking, that would be really weird, even for them. So they would 100% be making weird and confused faces (not that randomly hearing music is not weird). Not to mention, there is a lot of reality bending in this show (Everything you see in musicals for example is actually happening in the show. Like, the pilot "Inside Every Demon Is A Rainbow" everything you see is what they're seeing too.) so it wouldn't surprise me if the music is also reality bending. I don't think they break the fourth wall ever. Especially for music. (In terms of HH, not HB.) Also, a few more things. Lillith in the pilot was shown to be influencing demons with music(?) so I'm pretty sure it's a canon part that they do hear the music. Whether through reality bending or just how the universe works. Also, the reason why Lillith's face was blurred out in the flashback is because Charlie doesn't exactly think positively of Lillith there. She took her away from Lucifer while he was making her really happy and such. TLDR: I'm pretty sure the music that we hear, the people in the show also hear because of reasons such as: It'd be weird, Reality Bending existing, Lilith influencing demons with song in the first episode(?), and they wouldn't break the fourth wall in HH. Also maybe the reason why Lillith's face is blurred due to Charlie not being positive of her in that scene.

THAT IS DIFFERENT! Vivian never confirmed explicitly that it is going to be a romantic relationship. Fans just started writing that is confermed only because shipper gona ship and, as soon as one saw this and start scream "CONFIRMED! CONFIRMED!", all the others start to do the same without thinking because we still are a branch of monkey and once one starts screaming, the all forest starts to scream as well, without knowingif the first monkey has scream because it had saw a predator or just stomp his own tail. There could be a lot of meanings behind what he's talking about but it shows the angels pointing spears at him and he talks about not loosing it all again so I'm assuming he is referring to when he first gave the apple of knowledge to humans and was then damned by the elder angels

40:51-41:14 Honestly the only new lore we get out of "More Than Anything" is the visualization Lucifer has of the archangels in the beginning (when they first had spears pointed at him then at Charlie like Lucifer is afraid of). That imagery is the only thing we know about the archangels in the Hellaverse so far.
So from what I loosely know about some tellings of the Garden of Eden story, the snake which is Lucifer in Hazbin's canon, is said to have legs. According to the story all snakes have had legs, you know like lizards do, but God removed the legs of snakes ever since one decieved Adam and Eve into taking a bite from the forbidden fruit. So what Ryan is referencing is how Lucifer who's the snake has his limbs when snakes are said to have lost theirs due to their decietful nature. The real reason for this is likely that this interpretation of the story was not relevant in the developmental part of the show's story.

Obviously the show took creative liberty, like say the snake was Lucifer outright and depict the fruit as an apple because it has been depicted as one in paintings and such, but also because it's a natural choice if you ask anyone. Any biblical story is bound to run into the problem of, it's never been confirmed outright and therefore has some creative liberties taken. If you only take everything at face value and only stick to one version then you have a shallow and monotone story. This show is meant to have an interesting story and characters first and foremost, accuracy is secondary to that, because there isn't one true accurate story and even if there was a retelling was never the point of the show.
The mini rant about the livestreams and wiki is valid. Vivzie has a habit of revealing info about the characters instead of actually showing it in an episode. People shouldn't have to look through old livestreams, tweets and instagram pages to find this out.
Yeah it's something that I've been dealing with since episode 1 of helluva boss and finally had the snapping point this episode. I realize 90% of people wont have this problem because their not knee deep in the fandom but it's SUPER annoying when you are.
I feel you on the spoilers in streams things a lot. I've been a fan for a fairly long time (almost 7 years now), and there is so much confirmed lore by the creator outside the show that I can't help but be annoyed for those who don't want to do any info digging (which is absolutely valid!) We do know things like Alastor's backstory and what he did on earth, Angel's human life, and so much more because it's been planned out and talked about by Viv long before she knew her project would be such a success but it's still somewhat frustrating when you know what's coming next. Also a fun fact, Mimzy was originally supposed to be one of the og members of the hotel but Viv decided to not include her alongside some other characters for storytelling reasons.

In my opinion Alastor is the stand-in for irredeemable evil you were talking about. It would be very anticlimactic to have all this setup only for him to realize the error of his ways in classic disney fashion.
Lucifer is the king of all of Hell as well as the Prince of the Pride ring (Satan ironically enough is a totally different prince ruling Wrath where Millie's family comes from), but it was more Lilith that made Hell into their kingdom according to Charlie's story in the first episode. Hell was meant to be Lucifer's prison where he could only see the worst results of his giving humanity free will. They're literally taking a guy with the cognitive ability of a mildly autistic puppy and rubbing his nose in his mistake while yelling "See what you did?" to him. Some would say he's not wired to see the best of the sinner demons in particular because that's part of how he's being punished. Also, he's still technically a Seraphim and probably considers other angels to be his people more than mortal souls. Even if those angels that discarded and abandoned him he can't change that he's one of them.

the hearts are just symbolism, there's not really a conspiracy behind it. Sinners carry certain aesthetic aspects while they are in hell, things to do with the way they lived their life and also what happened during their death. Husk in the pilot claims he lost the ability to love but i believe the hearts symbolize his ability to love deeply if he cares enough about a person because despite his gruff uncaring appearance you do actually catch glimpses of it like when he tried to warn alastor about mimzy causing trouble or the way he starts to come out of his shell around the others as the series progresses, with angel i think its because he's always found himself to be unlovable and probably deeply craves love and affection. Valentino's a scumbag that uses love to trap people, he probably did the same thing while alive which would explain why he became a moth with drugged saliva.
Glad I'm not the only one who didn't want to see Angel and Husk end up as a couple. They're perfectly fine as just friends and not every ship the fans demand needs to become canon and plus, they'd both benefit better imo If they just stayed as friends

god, the Livestream rant is so real. I'm not really involved with the fandom like at all, so I end up avoiding that stuff, but some of them are impossible to miss since they're littered across every comment section on videos about the show and it's so annoying. telling instead of showing is one of the things that I hate the most on fictional works, and I've never in my life seen a person do this as well as vivziepop, to the point where the telling transcends the actual media. I thought watching characters saying plot points out loud was bad, but finding out important things about the characters and the plot through livestreams and a wiki is so much worse. I understand that this is a passion project and she wants to share every little bit of lore she thought up, but it literally ruins it all for me, knowing this and that through other people's comments instead of getting the chance to discover it in the actual show.

Late comment but I think the truly evil in hell are likely isolated or got destroyed by Overlords or Exorcists. Famously evil people would have other sinners out to get them and anger overlords by trying to take territory from them. The Exorcists are kind of cultish and would try to impress Adam by not just high kill counts but killing infamously evil people! So being a famous tyrant or serial killer would be like walking around with a target on your chest that screams "Exorcize Me!"

There’s a lot of headcanons (That I agree with.) About Lucifer being autistic. Special interest in ducks, socially awkward and doesn’t pick up on social cues, doesn’t understand very complex things and doesn’t like physical interaction with people who aren’t family. You could also see him fidget and stim when he’s nervous. Just something I noticed and I very much relate to as an autistic person.
Depression can manifest in those ways too tbh. After 10k years of not seeing the good in people and After being cast out of somewhere for just being different; you too would develop certain "tiks" too. He was divorced, cut contact with or kept away from Charlie and forced to see what to him was the result of giving people free will.

Also, info that might be forgotten: in episode 1, Charlie mentioned in the story that Lucifer was banished to Hell for giving Eve the gift of knowledge and creating a gap for evil to get in, which created Hell in the first place. Here’s a funny thought I’ve had for a while. This Lucifer and Hugh Neutron would no doubt in my mind be really good friends. They’re both lovable, duck-obsessed, good intentioned goofballs. They care very deeply about their families and children. And they both just so happened to land very attractive wives.

Fakeness absolutely can make people uncomfortable. Especially when someone already knows that there’s a traumatic reason why someone is acting like that. For some people, it creates a sort of…emotional Uncanny Valley effect, because there’s an obvious gap between how that person is behaving and what we know is actually happening. It makes you question constantly whether this person is EVER going to be honest with you or if they’re just manipulating you for someone unknown ends.
Speaking from unfortunate experience, more so with abusers than their victims. When you grow up surrounded by such people, you start picking up on subtle cues that someone’s behavior just isn’t matching up, and that can trigger alarm bells in your mind that this person is possibly dangerous and cannot be trusted. It’s one of those coping skills that can be useful…but can also backfire, for multiple reasons. Red flags that are obvious to those of us who grew up like that often aren’t obvious to others, so if we try to point them out, we’re the ones who get accused of being assholes or manipulative.
Another reason being that when we encounter someone who behaves that way because of trauma or as a defense mechanism, it’s very easy for us to mistake it for something dangerous and harmful, which can lead to someone lashing out at them without fully understanding WHY they’re reacting that way.
plus husk is a gambler, he can see right through people despite how good they think their mask is, he can tell from the moment he and angel meets that its all a coping mechanism the other hides behind and with husk actions speak louder than words and to him angels actions scream Do Not Trust This.

By the way, I'm pretty sure that they *do* hear the beat. I feel the music we hear is what they ALSO hear, so it's not purely just talking. I mostly say this because if it were the case of them just talking, that would be really weird, even for them. So they would 100% be making weird and confused faces (not that randomly hearing music is not weird).
Not to mention, there is a lot of reality bending in this show (Everything you see in musicals for example is actually happening in the show. Like, the pilot "Inside Every Demon Is A Rainbow" everything you see is what they're seeing too.) so it wouldn't surprise me if the music is also reality bending. I don't think they break the fourth wall ever. Especially for music. (In terms of HH, not HB.)
Also, a few more things. Lillith in the pilot was shown to be influencing demons with music(?) so I'm pretty sure it's a canon part that they do hear the music. Whether through reality bending or just how the universe works.
Also, the reason why Lillith's face was blurred out in the flashback is because Charlie doesn't exactly think positively of Lillith there. She took her away from Lucifer while he was making her really happy and such.
TLDR:
I'm pretty sure the music that we hear, the people in the show also hear because of reasons such as: It'd be weird, Reality Bending existing, Lilith influencing demons with song in the first episode(?), and they wouldn't break the fourth wall in HH. Also maybe the reason why Lillith's face is blurred due to Charlie not being positive of her in that scene.

There could be a lot of meanings behind what he's talking about but it shows the angels pointing spears at him and he talks about not loosing it all again so I'm assuming he is referring to when he first gave the apple of knowledge to humans and was then damned by the elder angels

40:51-41:14 Honestly the only new lore we get out of "More Than Anything" is the visualization Lucifer has of the archangels in the beginning (when they first had spears pointed at him then at Charlie like Lucifer is afraid of). That imagery is the only thing we know about the archangels in the Hellaverse so far.

So from what I loosely know about some tellings of the Garden of Eden story, the snake which is Lucifer in Hazbin's canon, is said to have legs. According to the story all snakes have had legs, you know like lizards do, but God removed the legs of snakes ever since one decieved Adam and Eve into taking a bite from the forbidden fruit.
So what Ryan is referencing is how Lucifer who's the snake has his limbs when snakes are said to have lost theirs due to their decietful nature.
The real reason for this is likely that this interpretation of the story was not relevant in the developmental part of the show's story.

Obviously the show took creative liberty, like say the snake was Lucifer outright and depict the fruit as an apple because it has been depicted as one in paintings and such, but also because it's a natural choice if you ask anyone.
Any biblical story is bound to run into the problem of, it's never been confirmed outright and therefore has some creative liberties taken.
If you only take everything at face value and only stick to one version then you have a shallow and monotone story.
This show is meant to have an interesting story and characters first and foremost, accuracy is secondary to that, because there isn't one true accurate story and even if there was a retelling was never the point of the show.

I feel you on the spoilers in streams things a lot. I've been a fan for a fairly long time (almost 7 years now), and there is so much confirmed lore by the creator outside the show that I can't help but be annoyed for those who don't want to do any info digging (which is absolutely valid!) We do know things like Alastor's backstory and what he did on earth, Angel's human life, and so much more because it's been planned out and talked about by Viv long before she knew her project would be such a success but it's still somewhat frustrating when you know what's coming next.
Also a fun fact, Mimzy was originally supposed to be one of the og members of the hotel but Viv decided to not include her alongside some other characters for storytelling reasons.

In this universe Satan is the lord of wrath. Lucifer is the lord of pride but he is also the strongest demon in hell so thus the owner.
In my opinion Alastor is the stand-in for irredeemable evil you were talking about. It would be very anticlimactic to have all this setup only for him to realize the error of his ways in classic disney fashion.
Lucifer is the king of all of Hell as well as the Prince of the Pride ring (Satan ironically enough is a totally different prince ruling Wrath where Millie's family comes from), but it was more Lilith that made Hell into their kingdom according to Charlie's story in the first episode. Hell was meant to be Lucifer's prison where he could only see the worst results of his giving humanity free will. They're literally taking a guy with the cognitive ability of a mildly autistic puppy and rubbing his nose in his mistake while yelling "See what you did?" to him. Some would say he's not wired to see the best of the sinner demons in particular because that's part of how he's being punished. Also, he's still technically a Seraphim and probably considers other angels to be his people more than mortal souls. Even if those angels that discarded and abandoned him he can't change that he's one of them.

the hearts are just symbolism, there's not really a conspiracy behind it. Sinners carry certain aesthetic aspects while they are in hell, things to do with the way they lived their life and also what happened during their death. Husk in the pilot claims he lost the ability to love but i believe the hearts symbolize his ability to love deeply if he cares enough about a person because despite his gruff uncaring appearance you do actually catch glimpses of it like when he tried to warn alastor about mimzy causing trouble or the way he starts to come out of his shell around the others as the series progresses, with angel i think its because he's always found himself to be unlovable and probably deeply craves love and affection. Valentino's a scumbag that uses love to trap people, he probably did the same thing while alive which would explain why he became a moth with drugged saliva.

god, the Livestream rant is so real. I'm not really involved with the fandom like at all, so I end up avoiding that stuff, but some of them are impossible to miss since they're littered across every comment section on videos about the show and it's so annoying. telling instead of showing is one of the things that I hate the most on fictional works, and I've never in my life seen a person do this as well as vivziepop, to the point where the telling transcends the actual media. I thought watching characters saying plot points out loud was bad, but finding out important things about the characters and the plot through livestreams and a wiki is so much worse. I understand that this is a passion project and she wants to share every little bit of lore she thought up, but it literally ruins it all for me, knowing this and that through other people's comments instead of getting the chance to discover it in the actual show.

Late comment but I think the truly evil in hell are likely isolated or got destroyed by Overlords or Exorcists. Famously evil people would have other sinners out to get them and anger overlords by trying to take territory from them. The Exorcists are kind of cultish and would try to impress Adam by not just high kill counts but killing infamously evil people! So being a famous tyrant or serial killer would be like walking around with a target on your chest that screams "Exorcize Me!"
