This can end the madness! it really can.My all time favorite piece and believe me Ive owned some very nice equip.Didnt expect this performance from all sections of the unit.I just didnt
Well I'm boring because I bought my VAC tube amp and ARC LS15 tube pre amp back in 1995 and still use it to this day Never went down the turntable path though Had my different kinds of cassette players and CD players and speakers I have on the SS side a Bryston and a Spectron Musical MK lll class D amp Just recently I've added a Exogal Comet Plus DAC and Audiolab 6000N streamer But I must say when I added an additional Sub (now two) it has brought my music to a whole new level!
But it’s not just the mc/mm phono stage and the streamer and the DAC, there’s also a wonderful preamp, with tone controls, balance control and a sub management system that allows for the integration of subwoofers so quickly and seamlessly! The only thing I’d like to add is the separation of the preamp out and the subwoofer out. I’m not even sure this is possible given the deep integration of DSP in the unit, but it sure would be nice. The other thing to consider, especially on this side of the pond, is the reliability. This is my third Bel Canto unit and they’ve all performed flawlessly over the years…
Congratulations! I've gotten my feet wet over the past 2 years in Class D amplification, been a tube guy for over 30 years, but given what I've heard recently from an inexpensive Class D amp, I think I may be sold on it. I still doubt I will get rid of my tube linestage and phono but as far as amplification goes, Class D has really surprised and impressed me. If you don't mind the trade-off by digitizing the analog signal, bass management is a cool option to take advantage of.
this is a 21st Century Single ended triode and was the designers intention. His first amps were SET 845 I also own the Line MAG 518.This class d example will drop your jaw how much it resembles it but its costly but theres good reason for it
One of my favorite parts of Thomas's channel is when he gathers feedback from his buddies, so I enjoyed this. If you other buddy doesn't want to be on film, he could stay off camera and just have a conversation with him. Random suggestion stolen from another channel. Thanks again for all the recent videos
Right on Mike and yes this was alot of fun.Adds another dimension to my channel.Yes Thomas is one that I do watch the odd time for that reason.Different opinions.I really dont watch any others at all I got tired of it and went on my own venture
Found them. I have Maggies driven by Hegel's 590. I use Qobuz because I am about 90 and need an easy way to sit in my chair for hours and hours whcih I will do for the rest of my life
@@greatlookinglandscap It was cool hearing another hifi lover talking music that isn't part of "oh , I only listen to highly over produced ..mainstream music" to determine their rig sounds good.
I’ve seen the inside of this unit and sheesh there seems to be nothing special in there. I would take an Hegel H600 over it everyday. Try the Hegel, sell the Bel Canto.
i will get right on it.The canto black series is in whole other league in price, musicality and technology.Mine is the entry level in the black. No offence to you but please dont spout off and commment on things you dont actually have hands on experience with owning as its means nothing.
damn, one integrated to rule them all...my precious E1Xxxxxzzzsss. Congrats finding the end game piece
