they hinted that the french jaguar will receive its missing features "in the near future" as they where not ready, but they claim the as30-l was too powerful in internal tests.
But... The AS-30 is already in game! As are flares!

@@theScottishKoala AS.30L is laser guided, and there is a question as to wether the regular AS.30 was mounted on the Jag.
But if AS.30L is too powerful, I think it'd be a fair sacrifice to historical accuracy to give AS.30s instead.
The french Jag is also missing the ability to carry US 750 and 1000 lb bombs and US FFAR and Zuni rockets, and its rockets somehow are way less accurate than on other aircraft (even though SNEBs have a reputation for high accuracy, and the 100mm SNEBs are supposed to be even better than the 68mm ones). The fact that the rocket pods (at least the LR 155 ones) are angled *up* is also very weird considering it forces the aircraft to nose down to hit a target which doesn't seem like a great idea for a ground striker.
Finally, the first frag munitions in game (Multi-Dart 100mm SNEB rockets) are pretty buggy and don't have CCIP attached, making them mostly useless.
"In the near future" for french tech tree means it'll be done in 5 years.

What I love about the S24s is that they're the only CAS I've ever used that seem to get more accurate with range, to the point you can pop off a single rocket from several kilometers out and nail a stationary SPAA. They're pretty much laser accurate to the guidance computer between 1 and 3 kilometers.
I think that we should be able to test drive all vehicles with any load out no matter if we unlocked them or not. It’s the only way I will be able to fly some planes without selling my soul and life away.

I love cas, I was the last tank left and being pushed by two king tigers and a a handful of panthers with my loader out. Then I heard the sound of props behind me a see a plane on the map. I hear the whistle of bombs as a b-17 flys over me low enough for me to throw something at it. Then I see its bombs. 3 of them directly on me and none anywhere else. Only I died and we lost.
Didn't the Jaguar GR.1 have a ECM pod?
Also what are the rocket pods on the GR.1 Like?
Jaguar GR1 also mounted flares and chaff you can see the mounting points at the back of the lower fuselage. However gaijin say they are adding an "early" GR1 so they won't add flares despite the fact that early jags didn't carry missiles either.
The CRV7s are currently just clones of Hydras when they should have a ~1100m/s velocity and 2mils of dispersion.

i actually find its really easy to dodge SAM missiles in the jaguar because the thing flips around so randomly that it is hard to keep a missile locked on and hitting

Umm Scottish didn't some of the F104 variants we have in game like the Italian "S" one also carry flares? + I've also heard they had a ballistic computer too(only the Italian one,due to it's increased bomb load as a result of additional hardpoints being added)

That was the ASA model, developed later (Think T-72B vs T-72B 1989). ASA also carried AIM-9L's!
for me my favorite aircraft for ground pounding is the A4B. Even though we got the early variant it can punch well above it weight class the CAS ability with all the ordnance it can carry. it aslo have so much potential for many different loadouts if they ever enable us the customize our loadouts. it also has great flight performance ( great acceleration, good climb rate and top speed, can actually achieve that speed,etc.), and with this current update it got it historical operational roll rate of 270 d/s. not it full roll rate but slow enough to still have ordnance attached but still faster that any plane ingame. Hopefully we see later variant like the E (flares/chaff,ground radar,AGM 45 Strikes/AGM 62 Walleye,Aim-9D/H/G) and hopefully the marine corp M ( IFF, TV and laser tracker, AGM 65 Mavericks)
I'm ok with cas with the exception on the g91. It's just to easy to use. I think it could easily be nerfed by giving the nords ridiculous rng spread so if you want to use them your only real option is to guide them from plus 1km, you know, how missiles should be used

I went to Clément Ader museum, the owners were former pilots and mechanics, and Jaguar A didn't have a proper radar
in game the AN/ALE 40 chaff/flare dispenser are half model in game (the the 2 rectangle under the engine). Historicaly the jaguar sepecat can carry 30 flares and 30 chaffs each pod have 30 slots.

Only issue with the Jaguar is the grind, as stock, and if you don’t want to pay money, it’s extremely slow and frustrating because it’s not the greatest in air RB. You just have to take it into ground forces and hope people will take out helis.

Love this. Yeah CAS is strong but you still have to be really skilled at the game to pull it off. Even seeing the targets is extremely difficult.
Gaijin really should've included the F-105 Thunderchief, Mitsubishi F-1, and AMX in this patch.
I'm hoping the F-1 will be left for a later tier, where it can get AIM-9L's. Would make it a more significant step up from the T-2K

Only certain nations in game have CAS that are abused this is the reason why all CAS in game are pretty much Nerfed as a way to be "fair and balanced " but it really isn't the right way to look at it
@Tomislav Puklin Tell that to AH-1G pilots... They have nothing. So those helicopters are not the issue.

I find little issue with helis. Players just tend to cry and complain when a pilot kills them, but when an atgm from a tank 2km away kills Them? Nothing. People like finding reasons to be upset at the person that sent em to the hanger, instead of wondering what they did wrong
Yeah, it's not all CAS that's cancerous. Just specific trees that get to have some actually nice options while others are SOL, at times both in CAS and SPAA department even(most notably, the brits who without premiums just don't have decent CAS until 7.7 and actual capable SPAA until 7.3)
@Tomislav Puklin ka50 pilots rarely get 10km shots. Typically I see them at 3-7km. Ez range for AA and jets to take them out. Overall range doesn't matter, so long as they're within counter range (they almost always are). If you're driving out in the wide open in top tier, you're doing it wrong..

CAS is a must in a game like war thunder and theres nothing better then a team mate in the sky that bring paybay to players who destroyed your tank, they deserve it.

Both the british and french jaguar had flares using a pod of both flares and chaffs
Legacy763 the British one did, but not this variant. The GR.1A onwards got flare pods, and Gaijin has confirmed that either a GR.1A or GR.3 is coming in the future
Man if only Gaijin would add a custom weapon loadout system so we could make the most of attackers/strike fighters.
I wonder if stealth aircraft will be added and how it will work.
If we ever get stealth aircraft they will probably model radar crossection in a sort of similar way to armour pen that decreases at range

You know we need a BR decompression when the J32B performs too well at 9.7 but can't perform in 10.0
kinda piss me off we can't drop bomb one by one or put bombs under belly with rocket, gaijin is on a good path with the weapon selector but they have to work on a system allowing us to modify what we take on pylons, the jaguar jgr.1 could use all kind of armaments and didn't even have to be blanced for the wings as it had a pretty good trim. Plus the underbelly had the possibility to have a flare pod instead of bomb or fuel tank, which gaijin seems to forget about a lot of planes.
Ehh just 2 SU-7 built? I think you are wrong m8. The thing about the SU-7 is it was built like a freaking tank, having very decent protection from many angles against light AAA. And extremely sturdy. Read about a RAF liaison visiting a SU-7 squadron in India or Pakistan and being told by the pilots you could use the air speed probe ( i think is named PiTot in some places ), meaning the antenna in the nose, to do pull ups. And i will check my sources, but really think many more than 2 where built. Maybe u meant SU-6?
TBH looking at the firerate hit ratio and shitty hit to kill ratio those missiles were probably launched by type 91s since it can FandF 8 rocket propelled foam darts at a time
Close air support doesn't ruin the game. Its the Helicopters that spawn at the start and kill you 2 minutes into the game or helicopters in general IMO.

I think anything below 7.7 is fine for tanks, maybe some 6.7's need to go up (looking at you Italian armored cars!) and for aircraft, from 8.7 up

Technically the Jaguar GR1A of the RAF should be the one in game from reading the Jaguar GR1 didn't have sidewinder capability and the A modification added flares and missiles. So the GR 3 was an avionics upgrade of the gr1a the flare upgrade

@@McOatmeal According to Gaijin, the GR1 was *tested* with AIM-9D/G, but that was never fielded because the UK only used them as an advanced trainer. Only with GR1A was the aircraft actually fitted with missiles (and ECMs) when the UK found it needed a ground striker for the Gulf War.

There's a link in the video description, should have the minimum PC requirements on that webpage. Not too high though, as there are several graphics quality presets made to allow anyone to play
The g91 is over powered at its tear but i would say most over aircraft are significantly balanced
G91YS was fine at 9.7 in my opinion

The SNEBs on the jaguar A are completely bugged as the same ones work much better on any other aircraft that carries them in game.

Because "efficient" and "it will drain your fuel" are contradictory words, it can't be efficient and drain amounts of fuel, it can be effective in that sense, giving high boost at the cost of higher fuel consumption, thus making it inefficient. Efficient is something that gives you performance at smaller cost that average of equivalent performing competitors.

Not really... You don't have radar and SAMs to deal with at low tiers... You fly in with your P-47 or Fw 190 against enemies that can't do a thing about you... If anything top tier CAS requires a lot MORE skill to pull it off without dying

@@slacksthelast7975 Use GeForce Experience. Best quality, and it'll scale with whatever monitor you have. Also make sure you have your bitrate for the recordings set high. There are some great tutorials on UA-cam for best settings to use, but GeForce Experience (what some people call "Shadowplay") is the easiest - just crank everything up to max!
