Hey Eric, lots of people saying cold email has died (or will die soon) and Google and Outlook are getting more and more strict with cold emails. Want your take on this.
Is cold email really gonna stop working? I have been learning about cold email for about 5 years now and it feels like hell to hear that it's dying.
What about cold email startups like Instantly or Smartlead, if cold email dies, they're gonna die too (not to mention tons of lead gen agencies).
Would highly appreciate your opinion on this whole thing.

Here's my take - People have been claiming that cold email has/will die since I first got into it about 5 years ago as well
It's certainly gotten and will get more difficult, but that's a good thing for people who are actually good at it. So if you keep learning it, it'll be an edge that you have over others
The barrier to entry has been so low since companies like Instantly & Smartlead started allowing unlimited sending accounts that increasing it a bit is a good thing IMO
In regards to Google and Outlook getting more strict, there are a number of private infrastructures coming up which allow & encourage cold email. Not going to plug here, but I have one of them so have been watching this sort of space closely as you can imagine
Until the majority of countries start banning cold email entirely, I don't think it will "die" - we'll just need to adapt and change as we always have
Would be curious to hear Eric's thoughts on this too
