Adam P I love it! Every Christmas I have an oversized tree smothered in baubles, lights and garlands. The living room window gets the festive gels and the net of multicoloured chasing lights. Out come the strings of glittery letters, the ornaments and the mugs. The place gets plastered with cards from family and friends. Yet, when it all comes down in early January, the room looks so cold and bare, even though it was fairly nice and cosy before the Christmas decorations. It's downright depressing. Maybe that's why so many people paint and redecorate after the festive period? But still, I prefer Bonfire Night to Halloween. Massive outdoor fireworks, sparklers, bonfires and hot chocolate versus handing out sweeties to little kids in costumes? No contest!
