日本人でも日本語話すの下手な人だっているように英語を全員がこんなに滑らかに話せるわけではないし、まず日本語の歌をテンポ変えずに英語で歌うのは難しいと思う。

英語が流暢なのは当たり前（動画にしてる時点で言語は完璧でなければいけない）、それをリズムに乗せて歌えるかは本人次第

This song should become the theme song of the film "your name" that's shown in the English speaking countries. Well done!
Isn't Zen Zen Zense already the theme song for "Kimi no Na wa"?
SpecJack15 she/he meant that this english cover should be the theme song in western country
Funnily enough, it seems that Radwimps (the group who sang the original song and has great English proficiency from growing up in the US) recorded the song in English using her lyrics with only minor changes. So her cover of the song kind of did end up getting used in western countries.
Exactly ! That one “original English version” is absolutely awful compared to this singing. This girl sang it a lot lot better then “original English version “

how do you translate it to english with none if not little awkwardness to the song? This is amazing
She's probably learnt japanese. Being that she knows what the English translation could, she didn't have to use translating apps. Cause I did the same. First you have to learn the japanese language and figure out what it is English and go from there. Don't translate from English to the other language cause sentence order would be different if you copy and paste the language and then translate to english.

Native english speaker here. Seen a lot of covers of anime songs in the last 10 years. I have never seen a native english speaker sing a Japanese song with pronunciation as good and as effortlessly as you do. I just discovered you with this cover, and I've started going through your catalogue. Your translations are amazing in both languages. The fact that you also have a sing-song quality to your voice just adds to the specialness of what you do. I only wish that I could subscribe to you more than once - why you aren't over a million is beyond me.

After having seen the movie, this acoustic rendition is very much appreciated, and helps to lend a whole new meaning to the theme song. I still enjoyed the faster-pace, electric version that appears in the English dub of the film, but the acoustic version has a beauty all its own. Many thanks.

I really love how you make the lyrics fit so well while still making them flow with the song, if you know what I mean. I've heard other artists make English versions of Japanese songs and the lyrics are always so awkwardly translated and it doesn't flow well with the song (Against the Current's The Beginning cover, for example).
