I have right side. How to treat it?
This seems to be what you said on the internal oblique video? I thought contraction of right external caused rotation to the left? Maybe I'm confused and wrong though?
At 2:33 there is a red arrow on screen saying the left side contracts and I turn to my right. The internal oblique performs ipsilateral rotation and the external oblique performs contralateral rotation. Muscles are ipsilateral rotators if the muscle rotates the trunk to the same side. Muscles are contralateral rotators if the muscles rotate the trunk to the opposite side. So in the video, when the left contracts and I turn to my right, that is contralateral rotation. The reason the external and internal obliques rotate in different directions, despite being next to eachother, is due to the orientation of their muscle fibers. Hope that helps :)
