Cole is one of the staples for wwe. Vince, I imagine, relies HEAVILY on Cole and he should. The dude is a stand up professional.
This is probably why he freaked out. He thought Vince would freak out over it. I imagine 90% of the time you know how Vince is going to react to something, but that other 10% it could easily go either direction.

Really? I kind of was digging the several guys there (no homo ). Sometimes they go in depth or add to a story. It gives it more of a house party feel.
I think that they try to emulate a college/pro locker room. Those places tend to be very supportive and high energy. So if someone says something you kinda agree with you say "Hell Yea!"

Michael Cole is known to have little man syndrome. Peter Rosenberg tells a story of Cole trying to assert his weight around with him too. A lot of people say it's cause he's stressed since he has to micro manage so many things at once, and Vince is always in his ear, and there could be some truth to that, but guy's been doing for what, 20 years now? Nice of him to apologise to you at least.
I'm kind of amazed Michael Cole is still keeping himself together as well as he does. Any other person would have utterly collapsed under that type of work schedule 10 years ago.

Honestly i stopped watching WWE a few years ago but if Pat McAfee becomes a regular announcer for them it *will* bring me back.
He's just been reinstated as a commentator for Raw for the indefinite future, and we'll likely see him on the Netflix Era of Raw next year as well. Corey Graves is likely to move over to SmackDown.
As a wrestling fan since 3 years old and a football fan I absolutely love that you are doing this and I have no idea why anyone is against you commentating, thank you Pat keep doing this for a very long time.

He is super entertaining and a breath of fresh air compared to the robots that usually work interviews backstage, unfortunately I don't think pat will last he's far too real for them lol

Cole didn’t handle it great at the time but he had a valid point. When you hear about how Vince is through the years it was a valid concern that Vince would’ve seen Pat and been upset. Honestly if they hadn’t shown him the picture of LeBron vince would’ve been upset about the shorts. Vince is fully in the wrestling bubble and had no clue about lebron. But seeing it being done by lebron appealed to Vince’s desire to seem aligned with the mainstream. But at the same time Vince would’ve been upset at first but then they’d show him the picture after and it would’ve been water under the bridge anyways. Nice to see in hindsight just how much Pat has gotten to be involved with WWE since this happened.
