Nice presentation! Back in January 1995 I flew from LAX to MNL via PAL with the route including a brief technical stop in HNL (to deplane a few passengers who were scheduled to depart there and pick up a few boarding to MNL); PAL used their then new 747-400 for that route . The leg from HNL to MNL did seem to take forever to arrive in MNL. The only thing I didn't like about this trip was as soon as we left HNL airspace, smoking was allowed inside the airplane (this was before the days of no smoking on airlines) and the smell of the smoke was not pleasant. Other than that, the flight and customer service by the PAL staff were excellent.
PAL- Philippines Always Late. Tip- I flew to Manila from Honolulu. If you bought economy seats, ask the desk if the flights are full. Most likely not on weekday flights like a Tuesday. Ask to see how many seats are available at the back. Many times several rows are open. Ask for a transfer to the back and you get the whole row to yourself.
The solution for this routing to avoid PR are JL/NH via NRT/HND then JL77/745/NH819/869 or KE054 to KE623/625 OZ231/703 ICN that way you avoid PR100/101
How's Honolulu, did you enjoy your trip like going to Waikiki? How late is the departure, 1 hour behind schedule departure time? Is that your 1st time flying Philippine airlines, Airbus A330-300 from Honolulu to Manila, if so, how is it, do you remember how much you pay to fly Philippine airlines and how's passport control for entering and visit Manila for the 1st time, did you take uber to the hotel and enjoy your trip, including trying Philippine food and shopping malls?
I have no clue why they would be serving breakfast in the evening other than trying to cut costs although they should have been serving dinner. I'm expecting that to happen when my wife, mother in law and I fly from LLAX to MNL at the end of March as we are scheduled to land at 6:55pm. We will be lying on the 777-300ER but I'm guessing that the ER doesn't stand for Extra Room. Thank you for your video and your review.
avoid this airline if your plan is not to the philippines! recent travel to australia. flight was cancelled and changed to 2 days after. on returning flight, flight was changed again! and the change was only informed when u arrive at manila. Very long transit hours this airlines dont provide any accomodation or compensation for the inconvenience caused. it will definitely disrupt ur travel plans last minute!

My family delayed 48hours in San Francisco.. En route to Manila just yesterday.. Philippine airlines.
They serve breakfast on this flight because it lands in the early morning hours in Manila.
Maybe it changed since I last flew, but we definitely didn't have breakfast cause it landed in the early evening in Manila
what time you arrived in Manila?
It was a bit late, so around 18:00, but I think it was scheduled for around 16:30
😓 promo sm
