    Beautiful craftsmanship.
    The commentary was excellent for a newbie spoon carver like myself.

    I like the commentary style video with explanation of the cuts you’re making and why you’re making them. Explanation is very important to me to gain information while you’re carving. I appreciate your vast experience and the reason behind your decisions! Thanks for the video!

    After a stressy day in an office, this is food for the soul.
    I'd love a tutorial on hand sharpening an axe (if there isn't one already)

      Happy to hear that! I have a few videos that finish the sharpening process by hand, but I will have to do one soon that is entirely by hand 👌

      @@andyspoons amazing, thank you. Your video on hand shapening your sloyd with the pack you were sent inspired me to make my own set up with increasing fine grit; it's worked a treat!

    Love both video types. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A MORE DETAILED SHARPENING VIDEOS AS MY GFB SWEEDISH CARVING AXE DOES NOT PERFORM AS YOURS. I also apriciate a shout to who makes the tools you use so as to maybe one day be able to afford.

    Wow! Your spoons in your shop are SO beautiful! I like the eating spoons best. I love the BAKED spoons. It really changes the colours, doesn't it. By the way, Andy, what do you do about international shipping fees? They are not included in the price, aren't they. I am SO UPSET - a friend on my bird photography group is currently in Australia and he VISITED the Blue Mountain Park three days ago. If I'd known I'd have given him some money and asked him to get me one of your spoons.

    • @andyspoons

      All of the shipping is calculated at checkout in the same way any online purchase would be

    Awesome video! Just curious on if you let green wood dry a bit before carving and if so then for how long? or will you start carving it soon after it has been harvested? Thank you!

    • @andyspoons
      @andyspoons  8 місяців тому +1

      Sorry! I thought I had addressed it there. Carve it whenever you can! The properties of different timber change over time, but you can almost always carve happily as green as possible

    Is there a certain size adze for spoon bowls?

    • @andyspoons

      This is a 35mm, but it really depends on the spoons you are carving!
