You can apply for your guard card with just the 8-hour course. Still, you need to complete the 32 hours within the first 6 months of getting your license (16 hours after the first 30 days and 16 hours within 6 months), so most security companies require the 32-hour course to be completed before you start working as a guard to stay in compliance. I have some question. I need to to complete watching video to get certificate or i have to give test too after completing watching course videos?
You must complete the course (including the test) to get your certificate. Our tests can be taken multiple times and have a 100% pass rate.
When I check the status on my application it says "open, not submitted", did I do something wrong? I paid the fees
It sounds like you did not submit your application on Breeze. You should reach out to their support number / email if you already paid/submitted your application on Breeze
Do I do the breeze account information and pay $55 before I do live scan?
I believe the live scan is the last step.
Yes per FBI regulations, you must submit your online application PRIOR to LiveScan(s). UNLESS you are sending physical applications, (which I wouldn’t) taking up to 8 weeks approval (still standard)
How long did it take everyone to get approved? I submitted application on June 3rd and still pending
Any update ?? I submitted the live scan on July 5th

Our courses never expires!
So you cannot get a job with the basic 8hr course? You need the 32hr on top of the 8hr course? I also looked up the time to get the card and it takes 2 months?
You can get a job after the eight-hour course, and you have your guard card, but most companies want the additional 32 hours since you will be required to complete them within six months. According to the BSIS website, it takes between 30 and 60 days for the guard card; sometimes, it comes sooner.
I was wondering if I can apply for a guard card while 16 because a security guard that works at party’s and bars talk to me about how you can apply for a guard card and apply to be a security guard is that possible? and also what does it mean to take training class does that mean I have to go somewhere and be taught about being a security?

Hi I just finished my guard card course, app, and fees. I never got any prompt to get a live scan. Should I just get one anyway or wait till they tell me?
If you completed your application on Breeze then go get your livescan.
How much is the live scan
$49 + Live Scan Site Fee (unless you are doing a combined security guard / firearms permit Live Scan - then it is $87 + Live Scan Site Fee)
Hello hopefully you respond quickly *as it would be much appreciated* I did part A (power to arrest) online but had to go in person to do part B (AOUF) they did the livescan while in the middle of the class. Yes!
What if I made some errors on my registration, I think I forgot to sign it
If you are sending in the application electronically you don't need a physical signature. Otherwise, send an email to BSIS.ca.gov with your registration number and full name and let them know of the error.
And what do you do once you receive your guard card in mail ?
Ensure that you complete your 32 hours of continuing education training (included in the 40-hour bundle) and then start looking for a job! Check out our careers page: osossecurityservices.thinkific.com/pages/careers.
Who do I contact after the 60 days to get my guard card?
You can use this link to contact the BSIS: www.bsis.ca.gov/webapps/contact.php. I recommend messaging or calling the Bureau.
You can do this all online ?
New BSIS laws require in-person training for the appropriate use of force.

After you do the 8 hour training and get the certificate can a get a security guard position or do I have to wait for the card
You need to apply for the guard card and wait for your credentials before you begin working
So I went through all these steps but it took me to make a payment and then just showed my status as pending. It didn't take me to a check out page to process a payment.
You should see the application in your cart where you can go into the cart to make your payment. You can reach out to me at jeff@osossecurityservices.com if you need more help.
So I have to do the 8hr and 32hr to fully get my card?
You can apply for your guard card with just the 8-hour course. Still, you need to complete the 32 hours within the first 6 months of getting your license (16 hours after the first 30 days and 16 hours within 6 months), so most security companies require the 32-hour course to be completed before you start working as a guard to stay in compliance. This is why we highly recommend the 40-hour bundle (8-hour guard card and 32-hour continuing education).
