I generally like to add a caesura at the end, even if the notation indicates otherwise. Thank you for listening and commenting. I appreciate your honest opinion.
@@thehalf-bakedorganist Have you ever considered what effect your caesura has on the listener...? I think it certainly draws attention to what follows, ie the final chord. Often a good idea. But here, the voice leading and harmony seems to indicate a soft resolution. Hence the composer's direction to slur onto the final chord.
@@mewsdo You may be right, and I don't disagree necessarily; but my understanding of music is not very sophisticated, and I tend most often to simply play a piece as I hear it in my mind's ear. Hence, the caesura, rightly or wrongly. I appreciate your insight, however.
This is the first music made by a woman between what you had played till now isn't it? I didn't know that there was woman composer at that time. Very interesting. Please enjoy your way of performance, I don't know anything about music, but I like all!!!
Come to think of it, I believe it is the first piece I've uploaded by a female composer. There are others. Chretien's music is quite interesting. I'll get around to playing more it, I think.
Very interesting piece, nice performance.
Thanks, Alberto.
Well done Mike ! Bravo !
Thanks, Remi.
Lovely little piece, nicely played... until the last bar! I see slurs connecting the last two bars...
