Auguste Larriu - Antienne in E-flat major

This short anthem was composed by Auguste Larriu (1840 -1925) and appears in his "Fleurs de l'organiste", a collection of short works for organ or harmonium. Larriu was, by profession, a licensed notary and lawyer; but as a musician, he was organist at the Sainte-Croix church in Oloron-Sainte-Marie until his death. Larriu apparently composed many works, particularly for the organ and the harmonium. Unfortunately, much of his published music is now lost.
Played on the sample set for a Dutch harmonium of the small Reformed Church in Kézdimártonfa (Transylvania), Romania. The church's original organ is in total disrepair and, because the church does not have sufficient funds to undertake costly repairs, this harmonium was donated by a Dutch parish.
