You two are GORGEOUS! Please do more kids makeup videos with your daughter, please. I say this because when I was 13, I wanted to wear make up. My mother would only allow me to wear it after I took lessons from a professional on how to apply it. Back then, I had to go to the department store's Fashion Fair makeup counter. FF was the ONLY Black owned brand, and they were the only ones who carried makeup for my dark skin tone. I went there a couple of times, and I learned the basics, then I was able to wear only foundation powder (to cover my acne & I used their fragrance free brand), lipgloss (no reds & no dark colors because my mother wouldn't allow it), & dark blue eyeliner. When I turned 18, I started wearing a little more. I graduated to wearing mascara & lipstick (still no red or dark colors...mom's rules as long as I was in her home 😂), and a little blush. I'm glad she allowed me to only wear it after I took lessons on how to wear makeup & use colors that were flattering to my skin tone. I didn't ever leave the house with my makeup looking over the top or tacky. I always looked very becoming & natural with just a bit of color on my eyes, cheeks, and lips. So with that said, videos with your daughter could help other dark skin girls learn how to wear makeup that is flattering for their age. 🫶🏿
I want her to try more too but the disappointment on her face that the makeup pinks were not showing up on her face broke my heart. I will be vetting kits before we try them
@@Ohemaa ...Yes, I can understand her disappointment. I used to feel that way when I would try kids makeup (from kits that would come with dolls) with my white friends. Even they used to try to understand why makeup wouldn't show on me or look chalky. LOL - But...my grandmother quickly made me feel better about not being able to wear"their" makeup. She was lighter complexion (her mother, my great-grandmother was Mulatto) & she used to say that I don't need makeup. She said, "You are already beautiful. The darker the skin tone, the more your gorgeous features show. You have a natural dark tone that reflects like makeup through your skin. Your eyes, lips, and cheeks are naturally defined! You are blessed!" ❤️ My grandmother was right! And when I was older, she told my mother to take me to the Fashion Fair (Only Black Owned Brand of makeup at that time) to have one of the ladies who work behind the counter show me how to properly use makeup. FF's makeup ALWAYS showed up & showed out! Their makeup NEVER disappointed me. 💯
Suggestion: You could take this as an opportunity to create a dark skin friendly line of makeup for children! Your daughter can help you & be the modeling face for the brand! 💯

My girls would've drove me nuts if they had all of this growing up. I was always a tomboy and worked in the food industry so...I really didn't have alot of girly things. I had makeup but not much until ...I retired. Now I'm the one who's makeup crazy.
lol. She will do it for a quick sec and go wash her face. She is an artist so anything involving paints and colors she loves. You heard her ask if she can use the brushes for painting 🤣🤣
