- This week we escape the heat and head to the Mendocino Coast! It's one of our favorite places on the California coast and highly recommend checking it out. It has a charming little town with lots of cute shops to check out.

You guys should come spend some time in DelNorte. Its the wild rivers coast. Klamath, Smith, Chetco and Rouge all with in an hour. Add an hour and you have the Eel and Mattole, and VanDuzzen to the south. The ocean access will blow your mind.

thats so awesome how you guys use tortilla chips as fire tinder lol I love Doritos so I always have a bag around and I've use it before lol
One-piece-in-one piece-out is a great way to keep favorites! Giving the nice ones to friends has also worked well for me. I will usually get to see them again, which is a nice surprise. The Mendocino art center has a lot of ceramics (woodfired too) to check out if you are still in town. I will def try dicing the cabbage.

I first discovered Chilaquiles while working at a corporation in SoCal. The company had a full dining room and I got them for breakfast on a whim one day and never looked back..
They're so good! If you have the time, I recommend making them on the stove, holds their crunch way better!
