I’ve seen Anthony Head in many different roles, but Giles was iconic and Head was perfect. He and Buffy were the pathway for many other father-daughter relationships like El and Hopper, Ellie and Joel, etc.

Wow, you really do amazing edits. The way you cut lines & moments together is an emotional rollercoaster because so well done. And the vid quality looks even better than the HD version on my tv 😅. I love that after so many years ppl still keep that fandom alive and produce new content to make other fans happy 😊

The character Giles gets punished for being exactly what his charge needs a father figure and for all practical purposes and he does exactly what a father does so one could say that Giles is Buffy's father and by default also Dawn's father although in all truth Dawn is kind of an afterthought because as we see she was created and as an illusion and a thing if you will not even a real person in some ways if you want to call it that and then she became real she became Buffy's little sister and all the sense that that means and Giles tried to be a father figure to her but he wasn't really that good at it because he didn't know what you do with the young kid like her and he really was supposed to be focusing on Buffy that was more than a job to him oh yeah you could say he was for all practical purposes her father. And here's something else to think about when Buffy died who went around protecting and doing the job still and looking after Buffy's sister it wasn't Giles so much it was Spike and he in fact became kind of the leader unofficial way to the Scooby gang taking over her duties while she was away.

Especially as the series progresses where Not only does Giles still thinks that he knows better then Buffy but he thinks he should pick out who she should be with. Let's see why would that bother me, Oh yes because that's what my mother did! And my mother didn't introduce me to Kai, I met him when I worked on AHS to save the show and in all of this time they haven't liked each other because (and this does go with something Spike says) that he told her when he informed her that yes we are moving outta IA whether she likes it or not. Now I had Nobody backing me up when I was 15 and could take care of myself Thank you very much. I wanted to leave Highschool when I was 15 but I couldn't because I didn't have any way out. She has Never liked that I could take care of myself and Doesn't need her so finally Face 👀 Off! After I graduated from Harvard and film school Cause I do make horror films she didn't want me to go.... Now she's surpassed you! And you can't handle it! She's actually Always been scared of him after that (good) oh and the way to fix that 😇is after she found out that Kai was bisexual she flat out yelled at me That she didn't like it, and once again he stood up 4 me because she actually hurt me more then him... (I'm sorry 😞 Kai I didn't think she'd say.... It's fine. I just wish she wouldn't yell at you like that) That's what I love about being an Anderson (Harmon's 2, and Haiden and Madeline Ashton, we're all friends/family who takes care of each other. We don't need R parents or all that bullshit they think they should put us thru, so nope I'm never gonna agree with Anyone on this. But there is some hope 😇My writing and The Andersons acting on either my favorite show AHS or movies that I've written make everything stressful in our lives completely go away

Oh gosh I loved it but that ending took me off guard! So sad! Season 7 was not my Giles.
