As a December baby, always make her birthday feel special and not like a continuation of Christmas. My bday is Dec 28, and my mom did a great job of splitting up the celebrations. I always had bday gifts wrapped accordingly, I always chose what we did and ate that day. And she would not allow other family make their gifts be a two for one deal. Because of her, I actually have birthday memories ❤️

I have two December born daughters, 3 years apart. it's a magical time of the year to have a baby. I remember looking out at the light. from the hospital window and feeling an enormous sense of gratitude. I know for certain they never felt a sense of sharing their birthdays with Christmas.i made sure of it and told other relatives to please differentiate the two separate holidays.

Congratulations! I’m currently 33 weeks with a little boy due in August 🥰 I’ve been very lucky pregnancy symptom wise but like yourself, my anxiety and mental health has suffered a lot. Mainly through the first trimester and now again in the third. I have anxiety anyway but didn’t expect it to be this much of a struggle. It’s reassuring to know I’m not alone! X

Something I always really appreciated was my parents making sure my birthday was a clearly SEPARATE celebration to Christmas. Mum made sure I always had birthday wrapping paper - small, but makes a difference. I had a party or a special day that wasn't about Christmas at all etc. It made sure I didn't get lost in the buzz of Christmas and still felt special!
I was due 23rd December 22 but I went into early labour and had an emergency c section at 36+3 weeks (28th November is his birthday) and that time of year to have a baby is amazing! It’s so festive and cosy and you can just sit watching Christmas films and having baby snuggles and he’s 7 months now and it’s all the fun stages in the nice weather! 🤍

I had a December baby - 12.12.22 I was due Boxing Day so very glad she decided to arrive 2 weeks early! It was lovely having people off over Christmas but it did make the visits a little overwhelming at times. This was our first baby so maybe that’s why too! I do think she came early due to all the endorphins due to Christmas. Because like you I love Christmas. We watched every vlogmas daily when doing feeds! It was a highlight of my day! X

We had our first (and only so far!) baby girl over Christmas after a lockdown pregnancy, which I agree was a blessing as I was sooo sick everyday for 20 weeks 😂 but Christmas time was so lush to have a baby, the cutest outfits, the nicest food, can finally have a little drink, sofa days with Christmas films! Getting to grips with breastfeeding whilst having my husband off for the two weeks of paternity leave and then an extra two weeks for Christmas. ❤
Omg how excitinggg!! My son is 4 weeks younger than Ottie. I can’t imagine handling the next newborn already. I’m still so exhausted after every day. But I’ve been feeling the longing for another child…maybe in a few months I’ll feel ready to try for the next one. So cool and so exciting that you’re expecting your second one. So happy for you. Super exiting. I found it harder from 1 to 2, our first one was an easy beginner baby, second one was much harder and you already have a child to care. Especially the postpartum is harder since you can't really relax, but it really depends on the baby and also your surroundings. My husband found the first pregnancy and postpartum much harder, since it's all new and you don't really know whats going on. Lots of love from Germany

Congratulations Zoe❤ I found the 1-2 hard but in a different way. i was far more relaxed in terms of the baby schedule. But 2 kids is a hand full I am constantly busy with both haha but I am so looking forward to the two kids playing together in the future just like your 2 girls!

0-1 children is definitely a slower paced adjustment but 1-2 is better in different ways. You already know what it's all about, you know when things will get better soon regarding sleep and feeds. Yes you have to look after two children and try and rest but they will be growing up with baby so as things get easier with the new baby so will they will with terrible twos etc. And then you get to watch the magic that is sibling love. Congratulations!

I'm sure you guys will find so much grace in your transition from 1 kid to 2, you've both made parenting look so easy ever since Ottie was born! CONGRATULATIONS ZOE AND ALFIE! so happy for you. You had asked for moms experiences with December babies, so I thought I would share my experience as a December baby myself lol! I am a December baby (born a couple of days within Christmas) and I grew up LOVING christmas. The only downside is that having a birthday party during the holidays is difficult because usually people are busy with family and stuff. And winter storms sometimes interferred (I'm Canadian). And birthday gifts aren’t as plentiful because i would have just received a bunch a couple days before (definitely not complaining, just in comparison to summer babies for example). But regardless I wouldnt change it since it makes the holidays extra special for me.😊
The fact that I have been watching Zoe since she was in her early twenties and now she is having her second baby it’s insane 🥰

I'm sure you guys will find so much grace in your transition from 1 kid to 2, you've both made parenting look so easy ever since Ottie was born! I'm so thrilled to see your family grow, I've been part of your communities since 2014 and it's been so crazy but wonderful to see your lives and relationship develop. I've never had a kid but I'd imagine you guys will find December to be a great month to have a baby, since it's such a positive time anyway for you and then you take time off at the beginning of the new year. The way this lined up naturally for you guys is probably a sign that there will be a lot of ease and good vibes surrounding you guys welcoming your new baby in the world!
I've watched Alfie & Zoe for years and now I'm pregnant at the same time as THE Zoella 😮 madness! I totally get the terrible anxiety. Physically I've been okay but mentally, it's been tough! I feel like that's not talked about enough. Anyway, congrats guys ❤🎉

Congratulations! My first was born Dec 2020 and I just had my second almost 3 weeks ago. It's so strange the difference between having one in and out of lockdown. I also found the first trimester a lot harder this time round.

CONGRATULATIONS ZOE AND ALFIE! so happy for you. You had asked for moms experiences with December babies, so I thought I would share my experience as a December baby myself lol! I am a December baby (born a couple of days within Christmas) and I grew up LOVING christmas. The only downside is that having a birthday party during the holidays is difficult because usually people are busy with family and stuff. And winter storms sometimes interferred (I'm Canadian). And birthday gifts aren’t as plentiful because i would have just received a bunch a couple days before (definitely not complaining, just in comparison to summer babies for example). But regardless I wouldnt change it since it makes the holidays extra special for me.😊
