hes 100% right. many characters have no place in the tekken roster and are bland homogenizations of the same tools and playstyle. other characters are completely unique with a solid core moveset that applies a gameplan other than overwhelming the opponent with obscure strings and flowcharts. these characters get the job done only if the player is competent.
its clear that some characters had much more thought and effort put into them than others
