Most students in them are religious, but you find young black intellectuals among the students and professors of whom some are unbelievers. That was helpful. There are certainly a good number of Hispanic intellectual. Some of my friends are educated Hispanics who are either wholly unbelievers or persons who have very little inclination toward religion.
sdmatt1975 I'm in SoCal, so I'm sure there are plenty of Hispanic non-believers. I just don't personally know any. I don't go to Univ because I'm middle-aged and working, but I do know there are such groups in universities and Facebook. I've found such a FB page, and that's great. I was just commenting that I don't know any personally, face-to-face. I'm not dying to meet one, but it would be nice, though. Anywho, thanx for asking. :)
@@wonderful4life Not really because empires were built on the foundation of a belief. Everyday of our lives we’re bombarded with being persuaded with a belief directly and indirectly. So refreshing to see and listen to these rational and loving Black Atheists. Long story short, I was born and raised in the bible belt south, Memphis. In 1976, after college, I made a beeline to a rational and loving city, San Francisco, where I lived for the next thirty-five years. I retired five years ago, and I'm back in my hometown. Scary place. It's apparent to me that the over-religiosity of people, black folks especially, is a right brain imbalance disorder (see Mark Passio). If black folks were more "rational" (see Trivium Method of Learning), our problems would disappear in no time. Whatever happened to being just human_loving and inquisitive? Can't black folks live without invoking the silliness of a book that features an invisible, violent overlord?--a book that was penned by the very people who enslaved you? I had been in San Francisco less that two years, when the Jonestown massacre happened. Needless to say the majority of the 909 people who died in Guyana were black. That sent me into a major depression. As a little kid, I knew this "religious stuff" was a scam. BLACK FOLKS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, and in things that can be discerned with your five senses. Jerri Williams Religion actually started in Egypt. Christianity is a forced religion, because whites alternated the bible 325 years after Jesus. However, the Bible, Hebrew Bible, was written 500 years before Jesus was born & it was written by blacks.
Mandisa Thomas is a smart woman for telling the truth about religion, it has been forced upon us for thousands of years, i never knew that when i was a Christian but now as an atheist i do
31:23: Woman just explained to me why my mother set out to destroy me in all earnest thirteen days before my eighth birthday and since because I asked her in church how did Jesus resurrect himself from the dead if he was dead. I didn't know other 20th-century black parents had been church-trained with this same "beat-the-crap-out-of-your-children-if-they-ask-you-any-religious-questions-that-challenge-the-preacher's-authority" mentality!
I am so thankful for this group, for your voice. Rebels and free thinkers will transform this world. Proud of you for gathering and educating. Keep being brave.
A Black preacher, preaching against Indigenous religion, stated that just because you're Black does not mean you can't be a Christian..I posited, and just because you're Black doesn't mean you have to be a Christian...
Let go and let god.... even when I was a theist, I struggled with this. It's human nature (at least it's my human nature) to try to solve our problems. I mean, the mind is designed to think, right? And if there's a problem, it's normal to think, yes? So, when I heard people tell me not to try to solve my own problems but to rely 100% upon god's guidance, and when I never heard any guidance ('cause he's non-existent, duh!), I was like, "So, I'm supposed to just sit here and do nothing and think of no plan of action?" Frustrations. SO GLAD I'm not duped anymore!
Frederick Shackles I'll tell you who the one true God is. It's MEGA GOD. MEGA GOD is all the religious Gods combined into one entity. Problem solved. Now everyone can stop arguing about religion lol.
Frederick Shackles He won't. He a statistical improbability as are all of his attributes. And by the way, while there may be squabbling amongst the various religions, the problem is not the individual religions themselves, but monotheism in general. It is a kind of thinking that seems to be a natural outcome of our cognitive evolutionary development (it's better to imagine that something "over there" MIGHT be moving than to dismiss something over there that IS moving - moving towards you to make you its' lunch!). But from there we create myths and gods and saints and demons and ghosts and demi-gods and angels and ancestors and an incredibly long list of disembodied physical entities - and then, not only fight over who has the the TRUE SKY-GOD, then we try to kill off those who say "Hey wait. There are NO SKY-GODS!!
Frederick Shackles: If the scientific community was presented with solid evidence that a god exists, and if they test it and test it time and again, and if the results show time and time again that a god exists, and if they conclude that yes, a god exists, then I'll look at the evidence. Would I worship such a god? NO. When there are starving children, human trafficking, tortured animals, terrorists, etc. in this world, and this god has the power to stop it but instead allows it to happen, then this god isn't worthy of worship. It should grovel, begging mankind for forgiveness. If such a god exists, then this god IS the problem.
Xoch i am with you 100%. I was a christian and when they told me he love us and he is all love and he's got a plan for all of us blaa..blaa blaa..it did not make any sense to me when i think of the things you've said, and to think that the cause of all the things is the devil the creature he created and instead of killing him he kills people he failed from the start, i mean read the book of Job that is the most unfair book in the bible a good man trying to please him and he made a bet with the devil to test him by killing all of his kids and give him painful sors you f..king kidding me?? where is the love in there that? and Oh according to the bible this world won't end until the devil in the flesh rule the earth.
First off I never believed in white jesus when i realized that there was no way he coulda been white, if they lied to you about that one minor detail, then what else have they lied about.
I know what she's talking about because my mom goes to church every Sunday because she's a devout Catholic and her and her church going friends are the same way. Also I like to add that Blacks and Hispanics are more religious than Whites.

Imagine being treated mentally in a horrible way by blacks and even your own blood. Ex believer here went thru hell mentally and depression as well, gaslight and more then the same people behind tge abuse tried to use it to manipulate me into staying. As in keeping the belief and tge faith. I can honestly say I tried bc of tge love of God I once had yet what was done was so bad I just can't ever again. People are horrible and they love to justify their abuse that they very well know is and was wrong as a spiritual thing involving the devil when its non of that just sorry evil people who get off. It was ripped way then they still tried to control it and me. I let it go and gone forever when it comes to any Jesus Christ or even any God belief period. More importantly I star away from Toxic family involved in it as well. No regrets not looking back ever. They sent me through things I know I didn't deserve.
Thank you for being out there Mandissa. I fully agree that Christianity has allowed blacks go accept their lot in life. The over-reliance on an invisible being has much to do with what ails the commujity.
Atheism does not absolve you from moral and ethical responsibility both in private or public life it actually imposes on the atheists to be more responsible and it asks you to study objectively all writings mythological, fictional and non-fictional, philosophical and otherwise. It's important to assist believers in there understanding of these religious writings often they don't understand the literary style nor moral and philosophical dilemmas it poses rather leave it to god. Religion is the opium of the masses.
LAMLM24/7/365 Good point. And backed by fact. Most people in jail are Christians. Atheists in prison are very under represented based on % of atheists in the general population.
***** Designed? A very poor design if any god created the universe and man but tell me which "god" created or "designed" all of this? Because many fools have created the multitude of gods only to be conquered by the god of the victors of wars
Thing is, you are God but black folk give their power up to serve the religion of their slavemaster and oppressor, rather than their own indigenous beliefs. All blacks didn't come from Africa on a boat, as most were already in America (really called Turtle Island) thousands of years before Columbus was even a thought. Why Asians get respect and an Asian hate crime bill passed expediently, but blacks get no respect and still talking reparations hundreds of years later .
@13:50 Steve just a comedian, never to be known for intelligence or brilliance, rather just "jokes". He was homeless 3 years in his car before someone gave him a chance. He's can't be that smart which he isn't . So don't take what he says as intelligent words
This was an excellent presentation. I've linked it in a few of my political facebook groups where race and religion seem to be the only thing anybody ever bothers to talk about. I've got a sneaking suspicion though that the people I'm most interested in hearing the reactions from, black, fundamentalist Christians, won't bother to give it a watch. Still, great presentation. This one goes to favorite.
I’m a non-believer stuck in church because my husband is swallowed up in there. He is a relatively new convert compared to me. I was born in ‘56 he was born in ‘54. He’s been in church 20 plus years. I’ve been in all my life and while inutero. Edit: It seems church has more of a hold on newer comers than those raised in and forced into christianity. My new unbelief is a real threat to my marriage.
WOOOOW.. usually its the other way around.. Usually the Sista is the one trying to get the Brotha to believe. I hope he has been able to get on your level. Peace and love
Sunday church services I remember when I was forced to go by my Parents , ways always to me a fashion contest between the 'Sistas" ! several of which were the Preacher man's paramours on the side !!!!!!!!!!!!.
She proposes a culture of valuing education, of saving for the future, of seeking knowledge, of open mindedness. There are a few groups of people who teach these values to their children. Many of them are engineers and doctors. I grew up being teased for being a nerd, for being interested in science and math and astronomy and business. Fortunately for me, there are not many black people in Arizona, I'm sorry to say. So the people who started families at 17 were of little influence to me.
Don't label yourself with their derogatory terms like Atheist, bastard etc. You're an objective critical analytical THINKER, not led by falicy, folklore, and delusional emotions! Religion never made since to me as child with the contradictions and absense of universal law and principles mostly COMMON SENSE. The math doesnt math at ALL!!!
I'm researching the word God & it was originated as a Germanic word , Latin, Greek, Poland. I didn't find any African roots anywhere. So, I stopped addressing the creator as "GOD" I say creator. I don't see how any could believe that the world & everything "JUST HAPPENED". Someone/ something created people, birds, clouds, trees, animals, insects. Who can explain the existence of things?!! So I believe that a creator created life & He/She is worthy of there respect & there fore everything has a purpose. Also Christianity was forced on the African community as it was forced on other communites. I no longer invest into the slavery of "CHRISTIANITY". I'm seeking about my past, ancestors there culture & everything that reflects my origins as a black man.
+Oso Clippa- That's shallow and faulty logic. If you believe that everything could not have JUST HAPPENED, then how do you explain a creator? Who created him? Or did he JUST HAPPEN?
mccool1able shallow means many things none though that my comment fit into. Faulty means error, having mistakes, imperfect. So how can my free thought have errors, mistakes, or be considered imperfect. You even used the word logic out of context. It means to properly think our understand. I explained my findings of the title"god" I did some soul searching after reading your comment. I concluded that you have a point. Who can explain a creator. But the seen can be a glimpse of the unseen. So there is that. Now share your logic by explaining how "existence always existed" I'll wait ..
Oso Clippo-Why do I need to explain how existence always existed? There is no one who can explain how that concept is or is not. But what I fail to understand is how people jump to the conclusion that Goddunnit, just because we don't have the answers...even though adding a God does not change the puzzle at all. Goddunnit is not the answer. It appears to be a cop-out, designed to soothe the dissonance of not being able to find a rational answer. Its like saying... -I don't know, therefore magic-
Once again you make a good point. I stated in my last comment that "I'll wait while you explain existence. The point I was making was that no one can explain god or existence. I just find it hard no to believe that everything always was & no one created everything.
Church and religion is political I gave it up last year I broke free from the grasp of a false reality that made me feel like I had to walk on eggshells for this man made God when I was serving this God things were fucked up for me I was homeless no vehicle no true love in my life I was a angry person because of religion I was sick because of religion then when I let this man made God go out of my life I started feel alot better I rarely take medicine I have more energy im happier more open minded Im not homeless I have 2 jobs and a vehicle and I ddnt have to sell my soul to the devil which he's fake also or go to church day in and day out.
I am sooooo inspired... I actually have hope for a future without extreme delusion.... I see a future of human beings living in reality... and to anyone that asks "what if your wrong" well, if god can't except me for who and what I am weather i believe in him or not, than he's not a god worth spending eternity with.......
People are rejecting Christianity because it was learned through slavery. English was learned through slavery as well. Why not reject the language as well and learn Swahili or something?
A lot of what the African American Community practices, besides religon, is based in Culture. What cultural Secular practices does Mrs. Thomas propose?
ok I heard the rest of this and it's a good piece. what I am wondering is if this is something that the next generation has to do. they have to change. I think it's tough though. I am not an atheist, but I am no longer on the same page with some people in my family on religion. I think they went to the extreme and that their kids are suffering and not able to take advantage of new ways of thinking because of this. I am trying to convince one of my younger cousins to come to a coastline state.
Cristiano Ronaldo Love, Compassion and Spirtuality>>>>>>Intelligence and Critical thinking>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Religion
I also think that religion as being a 'moral bar' is stupid. Christianity and other religions have their on socio-cultural biases at the time they were made.
When it comes to Jesus/God , I find it hard to say I love something that I can't see or touch , plus the depiction of them are nowhere near anything related to me !.
If you believe in God, you believe in religion. For both religion and God were created by human imagination. Humans originated and created all of this stuff. Separation of religion and God is figment of imagination because you can't have one without the other. They are intertwined. Religion does not have to be formal or organized in order to be classified as religion. It is what it is.
Interesting on the relationship between black people and being poor as some kind of badge of honor, when if you really take the time to read the bible, whether one believes in it or not, it is not primarily about poor people. Most of the stories in the old testament, particularly stories that black church goers tend to relish, Job, David, Abraham, Solomon, etc were all wealthy men. Most of the people God blessed were blessed with riches. Jesus in the NT talks more about money and how to treat it then he does about heaven, yet economics are given little importance in the black community at all. To even desire to have any wealth or a legacy to hand down is treated as a sin. For this reason alone, I'd say it's time for black people to grow up
That is why I am an inactive moderate church member. I only goto church to commune with God, and after that, I just go one about my business and show the light to people who see God in me, even though I am not perfect.
It's not the religion that's the problem---it's the people who live in the community. If the people are still sick after receiving treatment, then what makes you think that the community is going to get any better? People always want to point the blame at Christians and the Church, even though the problem is within them. You can't blame the Church or any Christian--if you do everything you can to keep them out. The only way things can get better, is if you put it in your heart and mind to change.
Religion is the problem. People are making life decisions on an entity that doesn't exist. If this entity does exist, it obviously doesn't interact with humans in the fashion that the religious elite claims. I have a friend who flunked out of training in a highly sought after medical specialty. He told me that he couldn't understand how god allowed him to fail. Prayers are never answered. I see people pray everyday to no avail. I am typing this in the middle of the covid epidemic. The churches are closed along with the other businesses out there. Women stay in abusive relationships because they think that it's god's will for them to stay. It's amazing to me that people are defending absolute BS. Do you believe in the Easter bunny and tooth fairy, also.LOL
Know thyself. I cannot express this simple statement anymore than this. To know your history is to understand your present. I see so many Christians and religious people and they do not question their belief or wonder where they come from. It's like they don't want to know. It's sad how our people continue to follow like sheep to a slaughter. In time tho we will see how this mythology of a gift in some after life is promised. I have known people to hate knowledge so much that they would down play their own children. It is indeed sad
With the video Mandisa showed, where Steve Harvey was ignorantly talking about how he walks away from atheist, before that was a woman asking what do we want, Hallmark cards? She looked like Karen Hunter. The guy talking saying it’s like a badge of honor at church to be poor, it seems a badge of honor to be stupid! Stupid and dependent. I’m forced to attend church, right now virtually. And everyone on the phone was praying, some begging, some crying for the lawd to take care of them and that he always has. Half an hour later, I attended a BNOB meeting where the big ups went to people who could express themselves! I’m so happy for the existence of BNOB.
Hmmm...I'm a black man and an atheist. Someone forgot to tell me that I'm supposed to be gay too...LOL. I think it's a little late for me. I live in NJ, and I know of no other black atheists personally; except for my younger brother. He's far from gay. Aside from that, I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on the benefits of "God" to people; blacks in particular. Perhaps, I can learn something from you, if you care to reply.
Glad i stumbled upon this video, a great vision for people coming out as athiest in America, especially if your black. Its much easier here in the UK...its a shame really.
It comes down to choices. People assume that everyone knows these artists, as a Christian I do not agree with everything that is out there in the name of "Christianity" a lot of it is not of God! That's where the problem comes in. Everyone that is in the church does not have Salvation. It is not fear, it is not a feel good thing or emotional. Those things that you mention as far as competition is not of God... the dressing, clothing, they are under the wrong direction. So much more to Believing in God than what you see or hear. Thank for this, thanks for sharing.
I'm just curious as to whether or not the Atheist believes in the forces of nature. Do they acknowledge the shaping forces planets like mars, Jupiter, mercury, moon, etc. have on human nature and the environment? Or rain or sunshine?
This woman's reasoning amounts to nothing but a rant against ills of the black community; fair enough. But to somehow blame the ills on the religion is just nuts. 51:07: She says to be a nerd and like science was frowned upon in the Black community. Even if true, what does that have to do with religion?
Religion, in the black community: A community which has been disadvantaged economically from slavery until today, causes people to DEPEND on prayer and waiting on JESUS to come and deliver them from poverty and sickness. To take them to HEAVEN!!!!. That my friends is why RELIGION causes people to not seek higher education to uplift themselves out of poverty. They depend on JESUS who DOES NOT and DID NOT EXIST!!!
BigBolt No. Religion does not cause "..people to not seek higher education". There are tons and tons of social and economical factors that cause people not to end up in college. Tons. Talk about a false casuality! Sheesh! "Christianity" sustained black people during the harshest of times when we had nothing. NOTHING!!!
ma19518 Being bombarded with "Jesus is coming SOON", from childhood, leads one to put their earnest need for maximum education on the back burner. You are in denial. Yes there are other factors, But that going to HEAVEN for ever lasting life and happiness, derails educational ambitions.
BigBolt You know, a lot of people like to throw that on us Christians, but it's no accurate. In fact, I've found that Christians of all races tend to value education and hard work more than non-Christians - in general. In fact, most of our educational institutions were started by Christians you know. Still waiting on those great institutions and charities started by atheists, but where are they? **wink** :)
I'm not religious, but I do believe. Mandisa Thomas should speak at some of these black churches in order point out how the bible and God's word is twisted out of context to serve just a few people while every else suffers.
dark matter is a type of matter hypothesized to account for a large part of the total mass in the universe. try wikipedia or watch Neil deGrasse Tyson on youtube or just read a book.
I have heard that church is like a "hospital", a spiritual one. I was raised in the Seventh Day Adventist church and their beliefs are that basically they are the one true church of all the Christian denominations because they worship and keep the Sabbath as is the original Jewish tradition. Also, they don't eat a lot of the meats that were specified in the Bible to be bad. Suffice to say I found my way out of traditional religious thinking around the age of 13 and I disengaged from religious beliefs by 17. STILL I find it hard when I'm around my family not to occasionally have that thought like "what if I go to hell" or some other nonsense. I have since learned of the truth behind the things we have not been told about the origins of this world, and why religions were "invented" so to speak. I would endorse religion as a temporary fix, potentially, or a belief in god at least, for those people who have yet to develop a moral level where they can internally decide between right and wrong. There are those "young souls" out there who really cannot understand right from wrong, and perhaps the fears of religion are akin to the fears of Santa Claus not bringing them presents. It's not ideal, but, heck it's something. I'm sure others would have better ideas on the matter, but a religion is nothing more than mental control. Beliefs, however, can be diverse and as crazy as you want them to be. Should still have evidence for them...but beliefs can change often. A mental matrix doesn't allow for much change.
I would not generalize on that, because in the church denomination that I come from, we encourage our young people to get educated, especially in the black churches. But when this idealogy of anti-knowledge creeps into the church, that becomes a problem. And this is why educated black Christians like me have either left the church, or become inactive church going moderates. It says in the book of Proverbs that people die from the lack of knowledge.
The 'what if you're wrong' question, i.e. Pascal's Wager, is really pointless for any religion or non-religion to use becausemost religions have specific criteria that goes further than just believing in God. Every single one of us runs the risk of being wrong.
Not necessarily inferior , but definitely more inclined to emotionalism , traditional superstition ,comedy , dancing and singing. Whereas, your enemy has been more scientific and analytical . Do you need any more explanations ?
Entrusting .... I'm just Spiritual .. I believe the metaphor God I call source with is my Light Energy but I don`t believe in any Religion because it is all Man Made I'm Try to be Guided by the self or Light in me ....

Some Christians get angry and act as if your choices will hinder them from going to heaven or something. Its weird.
That's because they're urged to save the souls of others.

It’s called indoctrination, get them when they’re young and you have a life time believer!!
Beating the hell out of your children is a learned trait from slavery.
Your not alone. Deep down you know theirs a beating coming if you ask a question. I'll learned that quickly
The King Yep -- So they won't grow up and 'front' before the massah!
The King Really? so why do Italians still beat their kids? Irish? Russians? Nigerians?
I am so thankful for this group, for your voice. Rebels and free thinkers will transform this world. Proud of you for gathering and educating. Keep being brave.
Rebels are dominating the world
A Black preacher, preaching against Indigenous religion, stated that just because you're Black does not mean you can't be a Christian..I posited, and just because you're Black doesn't mean you have to be a Christian...
Don't give up on God. He still exists. Take a step is faith choose to believe, to hope and see is he shows up.
Exactly. I always found those jesus depictions rediculous. Even as a white kid.
I know what she's talking about because my mom goes to church every Sunday because she's a devout Catholic and her and her church going friends are the same way. Also I like to add that Blacks and Hispanics are more religious than Whites.
You are right. The presentation in the documentary mentioned this too.
Intelligence really is an attractive attribute. Mandisa!
Agreed.
Since there are accident on the motorway or freeway, do you then drive on the pavement???? If God really exists and has been greatly misrepresented by his so called followers, does that chage who he is or his existance???

The book wasnt intended from everybody
🤣 🎯
😂😂😂😂😂😂 good question.
Keep up the good work. This is a worthy cause! Thank you.
This is such a powerful and honest message. I hope many more people will see this. Keep speaking up about the misconceptions of non-belief.
The comment about Poverty being a badge of honor is brilliant.
Thank you for being out there Mandissa. I fully agree that Christianity has allowed blacks go accept their lot in life. The over-reliance on an invisible being has much to do with what ails the commujity.
All the points made in this video are valid. Thank you for bringing them to light.
Not crazy about Steve Harvey or Tyler Perry either.
That was great Mandisa! 🤘🏼
God didn't created man. It was Man who created God. We are the Gods. There is no God outside of us.
***** Designed? A very poor design if any god created the universe and man but tell me which "god" created or "designed" all of this? Because many fools have created the multitude of gods only to be conquered by the god of the victors of wars
Good job on explaining your understanding about religion. Please continue to share your thoughts and knowledge.
The speech is extremely insightful and very true on the issues within the black community.
My favorite part of this video is the Black Nonbelievers group @ 6:13 to 11:18....Georgia definitely need this organization. Thank You
Im sharing this! More BP need to here this.
I really like this!
What shall we do now, pinky?
This is a wonderful speech by Mandisa Thomas.
Religion is the bane of humanity.
Thanks my sister for this video...now I know, I am not alone!
I love this! Speak that truth Mandisa!
Thank you for sharing.
@13:50 Steve just a comedian, never to be known for intelligence or brilliance, rather just "jokes". He was homeless 3 years in his car before someone gave him a chance. He's can't be that smart which he isn't . So don't take what he says as intelligent words
Love the video keep up the good work to everyone its good to see more people speaking the truth
Great video, very much needed 💎
Hang on in there I hope your husband respects your viewpoint we should all question everything before we decide to follow like the mind of a sheep
WOOOOW.. usually its the other way around..
Related to this subject is the book "The End of Faith "by Sam Harris
All of that I found my tribe I cannot believe I’m hearing others speak what I have spoken
Thank you for this perspective.
Such a great presentation, thank you
Don't label yourself with their derogatory terms like Atheist, bastard etc. You're an objective critical analytical THINKER, not led by falicy, folklore, and delusional emotions! Religion never made since to me as child with the contradictions and absense of universal law and principles mostly COMMON SENSE. The math doesnt math at ALL!!!
We are so TAKEN BY BELIEFS IN THE BLACK COUMMINTY!, WHY?
I explained my findings of the title"god"
I did some soul searching after reading your comment.
Thank you Mandisa, thank you.
Wonderful! I will definitely be sharing.
People are rejecting Christianity because it was learned through slavery. English was learned through slavery as well. Why not reject the language as well and learn Swahili or something?
Because taking away someone's God and taking away their language are in no way the same.
It's easier said than done.
Action speaks louder than words.
So glad I found this!!!!!

Don't confuse religion with faith though .

Leila Békélé same thing
I believe in a higher power or a higher self and I'm not affiliated with organized religion, and I'm not a Christian or an Atheist.
Is there a link to the documentary that you are showing in the video?
This sister has done her research and she right onpoint!
You're awesome Mandisa!
can you give days, time and location? i live in decatur ga as well............thanks!
Frederick Douglas was also a "Free Thinker".
I watched this with a few children. Thanks for the video.
Awesome work Mandisa!
For this reason alone, I'd say it's time for black people to grow up
Nelson Smith Jesus would have saved more lives if he had done like Andy Kaufman and taught them how to use soap. Think about that!
Allegory of the Cave...
Religion is one of the many issues.
religion and the gatekeepers(preachers) of this religion are the problem
Religion creates savages out of everyone. Stop justifying religion to win the argument.
I DON`T BELIEVE IN ANY GOD OR GODS.
Great video. A thinking Wombman.
nzinga zindua what a stupid term.
might this have anything to do with the great falling away as specifically listed in the Bible? Interesting topic, thanks for posting.
"Check out my book "The Black Atheist in America!" I do believe that this book is the wake up call that the Black Community needs!"
Religion is very anti-science.
BigBolt
No.
BigBolt
You know, a lot of people like to throw that on us Christians, but it's no accurate. In fact, I've found that Christians of all races tend to value education and hard work more than non-Christians - in general. In fact, most of our educational institutions were started by Christians you know.
Still waiting on those great institutions and charities started by atheists, but where are they? **wink**
:)
Its time TRUTH is always with a SPARKLE .like a diamond not doctrinal dot that keeps being CONNECTED?
Mandisa Speaks that TRUTH EVERYTIME!💯
🤝
Too many conspiracies and religiosity cripple black folk. Get to work already!
Not necessarily inferior , but definitely more inclined to emotionalism , traditional superstition ,comedy , dancing and singing.
Whereas, your enemy has been more scientific and analytical . Do you need any more explanations ?
so refreshing to see other black atheist as myself
Entrusting .... I'm just Spiritual .. I believe the metaphor God I call source with is my Light Energy but I don`t believe in any Religion because it is all Man Made I'm Try to be Guided by the self or Light in me ....
I never thought of it that way before but you make a very good point I think I might do the same 👍
Great job 👍 she speak the real facts keep up the good work
Race is for a lifetime. Your soul is eternal.
What is a soul?
Loved this , thanks Mandisa
