All the video reviews said the brakes had a wooden feel on this model. Stock brake lines are rubber. Just upgrade to steel braided lines (2-lines instead of 3), sintered brake pads like Ferodo, and if needed, CMC brake rotors or PFM Ductile iron rotors (full floating). I put PFM rotors on my previous ZX6E, and even with stock rubber brake lines, a huge improvement in braking and feedback. Just don't ride in the rain with them, because longer stopping distances and rust pitting will appear on the rotors. Also you didn't mention the lack of a centerstand, which is handy on a sport touring bike to lube the chain on long trips. My ZX6E had one, and the Ninja H2 SX SE comes with one, and Suzuki offers a centerstand for the newer GSX-S1000 GX model.
Have only just picked mine up, so far my biggest nit pick is a vibration tingle at 65 mph in 6th, does this go away with running in, do people install heavier bar ends to mitigate it ?
Insightful! Good defensive riding there at the 9 min mark. I saw that traffic and was saying "cover the brake" lol
Thanks! Yeah have to stay on your toes out there!
I replaced the master cylinder for a radial Brembo. This necessitates a little electronics, but it’s well worth it.
Another great vid! Keep it going hommie!
I agree with the name. I just call it the Suzuki 1000 GT

Good points, thanks for watching!
It just needs a decent master cylinder and it’s fine.
Also tires can make a difference. Michelin and Avon do improve braking performance over other brands from my experience.
It seems like brakes could be issue 1-1,000,000,000
Get some EBC sinter front brake pads, a lot better
Appreciate the feedback for would be owners/owners, since it wasn’t my bike I couldn’t make changes.

I didn't notice that while riding the one I was testing.
@FifthNorth just completed 2400kms in 4 days, can say the noted vibes between 4,700 and 4,900 while still there have reduced a lot with distance.
You are matching again hahahah
