Saw them in 2022 in the US. Amazing live. Want something harder? BM's got it. Fast? BM. Technical? BM. Punk? BM's got that too. A ballad? See BM. Progressive instrumentals? BM has you covered. Kick as solos from guitar, to bass, to drums? All BM. BAND-MAID is rock and roll in all its forms.
@@cbus4126 Yeah, the closest they play to me is like 4 hours away drive, but that's a festival which is like $300 a day ticket! So instead flying to Houston to see em. Gotta friend who lives nearby. So kinda dual purpose trip
Musician reactions are overrated anyway. This is a great reaction! They wear the maid outfits so they can shock people with their hard rock. I'm sure you'll get plenty of requests for where to go next, but it's nearly impossible to go wrong with BAND-MAID! Welcome to the BAND-MAID family and have fun!
Hey... I have great appreciation for musician reactions, ok? 😁 But I appreciate the layman's reactions too. (I'm actually really glad that she declared this was not a musician's reaction). Great to see you around, Wave!
Their nearly 10 year old Music video, they've stepped up their game quite a bit since this video. "From Now On" is a new Instrumental from them if you're interested in their musical chops. Blooming is one of my favorites. Their live offerings are really good.
Hey Molly, glad you enjoyed Band-Maid.. As a musician of 56 plus years I found Band-Maid back in 2014. The rhythm guitar player (Miku Kobato) formed the band back in July of 2013. The stars and planets aligned perfectly for her. Kanami Tono the lead guitarist writes and composes 95% of their music. Akane the drummer and MISA the bass player went to the same music school together. Saiki Atsume was added last, Miku Kobato thought her voice wasn't strong enough for the music she wanted. This in my opinion the most talented musicians in the world today. IMO. If you really want to see real mix of their talents in a song check out "Influencer" or Freedom (live). I really enjoyed your reaction. 👍👍🌹🤘🤘
Welcome to Band-Maid! The best band this century. This is one of their most simple songs and their first music video. They maintain the catchy riffs and melodies, but the technicality to their stuff since then adds depth and richness to their sound without getting too hard to follow. You should definitely check *Domination LIVE* to get the full Band-Maid experience.
I've seen that video so many times, but never noticed it was raining that day 😉 And yes, please give them another chance. This was Band-Maid in their infancy, awesome song, but they've come such a long way since then. I suggest the live video for "Domination", or the music video for "Blooming". Thanks 🤘🏻🙂
yeah I thought the rain filter was fun. Flipping the video doesn't do anything though, because the YT algorithm isn't fooled by flipping horizontal or vertical ftm.
You will have a lot of fun with this band, and with the fans too. They are VERY good musicians - all of them - and they're songwriting is even better, almost otherworldly good. You'll understand after you've listened to your 100th song and still haven't come across a bad one. They have it all. Musicianship front and center, songwriting and arranging is genius level (they didn't write Thrill - they start writing their own songs soon thereafter and they keep leveling up every album), their stage presence and audience/fan interaction is constant and super fun, their personalities are all different but they still love each other after ten years - and they really really appreciate their fandom. They're also very reactor friendly!! As for recommendations - all of the other suggestions are correct!!
Band Maid live - "Onset", "Domination" and "Freedom" - all on the band's official YT channel. Not entirely new but a revelation. Thank you for supporting this great band with your reaction. Band Maid deserves more attention.
The live videos mentioned above are great. Also if you want the full flavor of Band Maid you will have to include newer music videos like Manners, Influencer, Blooming, Dice and their softer side Day Dreaming, About Us and Memorable.
Band Maid, at present, is the best rock band on the planet. They literally have a global audience that is rabid, and we are called Maidiacs. This particular video is literally the one that saved Band maid from breaking up, as their management was unsatisfied by the results at that point. But this video was done, someone posted it on Facebook, and they got 1,000,000 views and likes on UA-cam in 4 or 5 days. The founder of the band Miku Kobato, made up her mind to include English lyrics in every song to attract a worldwide fan base, and she hit the nail on the head. They aren't a gimmick band, they are rock-solid and their musicianship is outstanding. The lead guitarist, Kanami Tono is the composer and is a true musical savant in the order of Mozart. Miku is the main lyricist and has written some amazingly good songs that have real meaning. Their power trio is Kanami, drummer Akane Hirose (another amazing Japanese female drummer) and bassist Misa Misa Misa, who has become one of the real stars of the bass in music today. Miku plays rhythm guitar, which she learned after the band had been put together and has become an extremely talented guitarist in her own right. Miku was originally to be the lead singer, but when the band decided they going the hard rock route, Miku knew she wasn't the one to sing lead. They held auditions, Saiki Atsumi, an excellent vocalist with a real rock voice, and the rest is history. Miku sings excellent harmonies with Saiki and has her own songs with the band where she sings lead. I saw them twice on their 2022 US tour, and it was amazing. They will be here doing dates in May of 2023. To get a better impression of their talents and how they have progressed, you must react to some of their official live videos, such as Onset, an instrumental, Freedom, Domination, Real Existence, Play, No God, Manners, Blooming and a host of others. You will not be disappointed.
🐦 *Molly Bee* 🐦 Welcome to the world of *BAND-MAID* (2013 - Present) A group of 5 young ladies from Japan that will rock your world: *Miku Kobato* (Kuruppo) = Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar *(Po!)* *Saiki Atsumi* (Sai-Chan) = Lead Vocals *Kanami Tono* (Kanamincho) = Lead Guitarist *Akane Hirose* (A-Chan) = Drummer *MISA* (MISA, MISA, MISA) = Bassist If you wish to continue down this Pigeon Hole 😊 you will enjoy over 100+ great songs you will start saying to yourself “This is my favorite *BAND-MAID* song”. _(No joke Po!)_ Below is a list of songs that will get you started *Blooming-2019* *Dice-2018* *the non-fiction days-2016* *ONSET* (instrumental) *Real Existence Live (Apr. 13th, 2018)* I discovered *BAND-MAID* in 2019 and came to a realization that *BAND-MAID* more then just a rock band they are a band that does not have any boundaries and is willing experiment into different genre from (Blues, Rock, Punk and Jazz) and a lot of fans including me would say “you got to check out their live videos” from: *2017-STUDIO COAST* *2018-Zepp Tokyo* *2020-LINE CUBE SHIBUYA* *2021-BAND-MAID ONLINE ACOUSTIC* In the end I realize that *BAND-MAID* more then just a band but a band that cares about each other and their fan base and in October of 2022 I had a fortune of experiencing them live and with that *BAND-MAID* cemented their Legacy into my heart. The change of colors for their outfits even has a background. For their first gigs and on the cover of their first EP they wore red/white outfits, while at the time of this video the change was made to black and white. :) Generally, there are allusions in many of their MV's that you only know about when you take a closer look at the band and its members. These ladies put a lot of thought into such things. But like in this MV, it doesn't really matter if you don't know these allusions. First and foremost, the music is what matters. Believe me, you haven't even scratched the surface of what the catalog of these ladies has to offer. Real Existence' (Live!) for example is also one of their older songs, but already has a completely different vibe. Welcome to the pigeon-hole and greetings from Germany. 🕊🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊
Cool reaction; I'm diggin' it. You'll get tons of suggestions and all of them good. I'm partial to "Dice" and "Blooming" but that's just me. They are fantastic live and they have a lot of fun on stage, and you will easily see that when you watch one of their live videos.
The maid costumes are to create the "Gap", meaning the difference between what you are seeing, Demure Maids vs what you are hearing Hard Rock. This MV was their international breakout. The have been touring internationally since 2016. They were named Japan's #1 Rock Band for 2022. This year is 10th year as a band. Miku, red flower, band founder, and Kanami, lead guitar, are the primary song writers. The band has total control of their music from creation to the order the songs on an album. 2 suggestions - "Domination" live and "Influencer" studio MV. Oh, there are 200+ Rock/Metal bands in Japan. With about half all female!! Your falling behind!!
Their very first music video, the Maids, have come a long way since then !! In their almost 10 yrs of existence, they have recorded around 130 songs & have done nothing but get better ! So to hear what they sound like today try " Influencer. "😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
Trust me, your Band-Maid journey will be rewarded many times over. They play a type of melodic and eclectic hard rock that has the gravitation pull of a thousand suns. And the bewildering thing about it is that the more you listen, the more you realize that they are scarcely capable of writing a bad song. Thrill was the song that went viral for them 8 years ago, but omg, have they progressed. Domination, Play, Blooming, Warning, Daydreaming, so, so many...
Excellent, I'm so glad you reacted! This is a very special band. Super talented and egoless, they're somtimes referred to as a musician's band due to their mastery of their instruments, songwriting abilities, and their stage performances. I believe "Thrill" is their 1st video from 10 years ago. Like BABYMETAL, they're best viewed LIVE. Fun stuff: They refer to their fans as Masters & Princesses and their concerts as "servings." Misa, the bass player, plays barefoot and wears a flask containing whiskey on her hip. Kanami, the lead guitarist, is a prolific songwriter and initially writes songs by piano, her first instrument. Miku, songwriter and 2nd guitarist, formed the band after working in "Maid Cafe" for 3 years. Akane, drummer, is renowned for her prodigious appetite and recharges by eating bananas during gigs. Seiki, lead vocalist, started singing solo when she was fourteen. She performed as a backup dancer and singer in several groups before auditioning for BAND MAID. I saw them last October, they were awesome & FUN! I'll be seeing them again for their 10th anniversary tour in Charlotte. Can't wait! Suggestions should you wish to experience more: DOMINATION (LIVE) ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html CHOOSE ME ua-cam.com/video/MZIJ2vFxu9Y/v-deo.html INFLUENCER ua-cam.com/video/e_bEf1C0spY/v-deo.html MEMORABLE - (This song is a tribute to their U.S. fans, Memorable encompasses their feelings about last year's tour in the States). ua-cam.com/video/DQX8BTTsHHU/v-deo.html Arigatou! #Let'sDance #SurrenderLove
And a thing about the maid outfits, Molly: as Fans and Maidiacs know, Miku -- the 2nd guitarist, lyricist, founder and who worked at a maid cafe -- wanted to show that everyday working "Kawaii" girls dressed as maids in high heels while having fun and smiling could rock as hard as any guy band sweating it up in their hip, poor tortured artists "outfits"... and by showing that contrast (the Gap), it would generate interest, which it so successfully has done! It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids. Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!
Band Maid is a Once in a Lifetime Band that is so Phenomenal in every aspect of the word. Band Maid's Gender is so complete to the feelings of their fans who are proudly named Maidiacs for a reason of love and appreciation to Band Maid and their Phenomenal Talent. I myself am a 63 year old Maidiac and this song was my initiating to Band Maid and have been Absolutely Taken back by Band Maid's outlook on life and the way they approach it. Plz Enjoy Band Maid bcuz they are well worth the experience. From Live to Instrumental's to MV's you will not be disappointed. Rock On and Enjoy the World of Band Maid.🎉

get ready the maidiacs are coming, We love seeing new reactors finding the maids! Saw them live the past oct. they are a live band first! domination live and freedom live should be your next reacts
Since others will be sharing song suggestions, I'll just say, you won't ever make the mistake of picking a bad (or "meh") song; they don't have any. They are that solidly great. You just witnessed the very first video they released. This year they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary. Ten years of awesome music. I'll give a few spoilers so you don't spend time on future reactions in any confusion: As well as all the awesome songs their lead singer (Saiki) sings, Band-Maid also plays a handful of instrumentals, a few ballads, and also some with the rhythm guitarist (Miku) sings lead. Miku is the one who formed the band with her idea of them dressing cute as maids while rocking out. She got the idea while working at a Maid Café. Miku & Kanami (lead guitarist) are the main writers. Miku, the lyricist & Kanami, the composer. You will also find out that Band-Maid's bass player (MISA) and drummer (Akane) are both total beasts on their instruments. I'm an old-school rocker/metalhead (child of the 70's, teen of the 80's) and Band-Maid is the first band in a VERY LONG TIME to get me excited about music again.
As others are saying here, their official live performances are great. I'd also recommend the music video for Influencer, which is very recent (and very cool).
Yeah we weren’t kidding when we said they were great!!🔥🤘🏼🤩 From this 9-year old song they have grown to opening for Guns N Roses and have become the best rock band on the planet since GNR. They are not a gimmick act…they are the real deal! Need proof: - Domination - official live video - Influencer - official MV - From Now On. -official MV - Blooming - official MV - No God - official MV - Manners / Black Hole - official live video That’ll do it. Then know there are dozens more this great! They are coming back to US in May and August - you have to go see them LIVE!! 🤯🥳😄 Take at and enjoy the journey! 🔥🤘🏼🎸🎼🥁🤘🏼😀✌🏼
From JAPAN ■ Introducing BAND-MAID Thank you for reaction BAND-MAID. (^^♪ BAND-MAID is a five-member girls rock band. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. The members have not changed. They are a hard rock band and fans consider them one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually have 20 songs and 2 hour gig. Formed in Japan in 2013, led by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato has experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara, Tokyo, and came up with the idea of playing cool music in her maid outfit. That's why the band was named BAND-MAID. "Thrill" was the first music video of 2014, reaching 2 million views in 2 weeks, and they escaped disbandment and decided to become a hard rock band. Also, they perform LIVE overseas and increase the number of fans. Now they write, compose and arrange all their songs. 130 original songs. And 48 songs have been released on the official UA-cam, all of which are killer songs. ★ They will have a US tour in May and August of this year. ■ Official UA-cam videos are not blocked. ■ ■ Hard Rock : Rinne ・DICE ・Thrill ・Unleash!!!! ・Sense ・Warning! ■ Cool Rock : Influencer ・Bubble ・Manners ・Nonfiction Days ・YOLO ・Different ・Blooming ■ Great Live : DOMINATION ・PLAY ・FREEDOM ・REAL EXISTENC ・CROSS ・CHOOSE ME ■ Power ballad : Wonderland ・Endless story ・Daydreaming ・Memorable ■ Acoustic : "Catharsis" Acoustic Ver. Sayonakidori" Acoustic Ver. ■ Instrumental : from now on ・On set ■ English lyrics : Dragon Cry ・Don't Let Me Down (not their lyrics) ■ Japanese Style : Secret Maiko Lips ・Gioncho (April Fool's Day Gift BAND MAIKO Version)
Definitely check out more. There's just like over 120 good songs. So, not really much 🤣 I'm sure other's will give specific recommendations and they will vary as they have a huge catalog to choose from. Please continue to react to B-M. You will not be disappointed. 🤘
SO HAPPY to see you reacting to Band-Maid! They are so incredibly good! And the best way to experience them, in my opinion, is LIVE! Domination (LIVE) is now a few years old but you can really see how they have changed. ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html Their latest MV is a great instrumental. From Now On. They are all virtuosos on their instruments! Can't wait for you to check them out again!
Yeah, expanding on what you pointed out, Babymetal and Band-Maid, aside from country of origin, have little in common, both in design and music. One is a song and dance group about putting on a show both audio and visual, whereas the other is an actual band focused on putting on a more traditional concert focused on the music. Musically, Babymetal is about exploiting the dichotomy between cutesy pop and the heavy metal, whereas Band-Maid is about mixing different combinations of rock, pop, punk, and metal into cohesive compositions.
Welcome aboard, Molly. You are embarking on (along with many others - 170 million YT views plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (125 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/v-deo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits like Sense, Glory and Unleash (from their own Anime MV (series?)): ua-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/v-deo.html) And many songs are represented with nearly 50 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts: ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” ua-cam.com/video/nAdWnIRjGak/v-deo.html Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (February 14, 2020) “Domination” ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html ZEPP 2018 “Real Existence” ua-cam.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/v-deo.html Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and other full concerts are on bandmaidprime.tokyo, bili, and official Band-Maid’s DVD/BD/CD. “P and D²” 30+ Photo Collage videos at www.youtube.com/@PinD2/videos And some of the better quality fan videos are excellent. Here’s two of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at an intimate venue: By Wave Potter with their last 2022 US tour OKYU-JI concert in Chicago: ua-cam.com/video/R9BcFwZz3cc/v-deo.html By Vladimir Chupin - a wealth of excellent videos at www.youtube.com/@VladimirChupin If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid Members: Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 29 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 31 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 31 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 32 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 30 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans. [BAND-MAID NEWS] BAND-MAID PRIME - Special Video Distribution Website. Along with nearly 50 great play-through’s by each member, concerts and skits, Band-Maid management / label(s) have included the Acoustic Christmas 2021, ZEPP 2018 and Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 concerts! Fans can now see more than 50 great live performances with awesome audio, etc. like Fate, I Can't Live Without You and the great MISA / Kanami exchange in Don't You Tell Me. Those concerts are two of the best produced & performed concerts ever recorded, IMO. bandmaidprime.tokyo The Maids SOLD OUT 2022 US tour just wrapped up and was a fantastic success. Welcome to the Maids!, probably the best Hard Rock band of the moment. Their strong is live, so I think you would especially enjoy Real Existence or Domination (Official Live Videos). Good job and thanks!
If you are going to go forward in time, don't stop halfway at Domination, Play or Freedom. They are great, but also old style B-M. Try From Now On for a more contemporary sound. BTW, I do not speak Japanese, but I was told the meaning of "Braking New Gate" is like doing something you have never done before. It should also have another meaning that I think would be some ting like "pop the cherry". I hope this is correct.
Nice reaction. Thanks. Thrill was definitely a long time ago for Band Maid. They were in their early twenties, now early thirties. And they've develop proportionally as musicians. You should check out their two latest MVs, Influencer and From Now On. They are very different from Thrill and very different from each other.
I'm so used to your videogame reactions that I forgot you react to music too. Band-Maid is a band worth watching live and the fans we are pretty laid back. We just want to share their music.
No turning back once you listen to the living legends known as band maid that's it any song will never let you down but make sure it official mv ' s or live so be carful my recommendations would be domination official live and then daydreaming mv seriously daydreaming official mv is a must they are the greatest band on the planet if you like lyrics then freezer studio version is great ot puzzle acoustic version if you can find it
People have suggested most the ones that I would have suggested. I will add my 2 cents and say that doing "Domination "Live" would be a great next song to do for you. For Ballads, I would suggest checking out "Daydreaming (Official MV)" or "Wonderland (Official Live)". IF you want to hear their more metal side, I would tell you to check out "Rinne (official MV)" and their most recent instrumental "From Now On (official MV). To help see how versatile they can be, I would suggest "Influencer" and "Start Over" to the others. (Final, if you want a fun drum solo and bouncey song, "Freedom (Official Live)" is a good option) IT is hard to go wrong with the ladies of Band Maid.
I like Band-Maid. They are a great band. If you are looking something heavier. I suggest Lovebites. Checkout their song Holy War live, or Nemophila. Either Dissension, or Revive. Welcome to the J Metal rabbit hole.
Another side note. Band-Maid seems to be very appreciative to reactors, and I've never heard any reactor indicate they had any problems with their reactions getting through (the tyrants @ UA-cam). So, you shouldn't have to take measures like flipping the video. I believe Band-Maid values the exposure. Also, they do have English subtitles on some of their videos. They routinely mix Japanese & English lyrics in their songs.
Good review. I came across “Thrill” in 2016 and was instantly hooked. The maids have gotten so much better. There are great live performances of “Real Existence” and “Freedom”. I generally recommend listening to their early stuff first, but the more recent music videos, “Glory”, “Blooming” and “Unleash” are fantastic. FYI, Band Maid has no bad songs, so you have lots of great music to review.
Welcome to the Band Maid rabbit hole. You need to check out some of their live performances. They are way better live. I would recommend checking out Domination live and Onset live and Real Existence to start out with. They literally don't have a bad song
Good react and good channel girl. Welcome to the world of Band Maid. They are perfects (like Babymetal). No more words! You need watch now Freedom live, is simply Amazing! See you at the next, Megitsune 🤟🏻🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
Breaking New Gate is a catch phrase for Band-Maid. It means breaking new ground. Being innovative. That they are. This is all originated from the mind of the Pigeon with the red rose. Kobato Miku came up with the concept while working in a Japanese maid café. She wanted to be a rock star. Her thought was to combine hard rock with girls dressed in maid outfits. One of her and the band's goals was to achieve world domination with their music. Band-Maid are well on their way to accomplishing that goal. Well done Miku. Band-Maid are: Miku Kobata - Rhythm guitars, vocals, lyrics, ambassador, MC, Small Pigeon. Kanami Tōno - Lead & rhythm guitars, composer, Mincho, pet. Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals, Ice Princess. Misa - Bass, Misa Misa Misa. Akane Hirose - Drums, leader, Gorilla. They have a Small Pigeon, a Gorilla and a pet. As you get to know the band you will understand why. Though Mincho is main composer all music is written by Band-Maid. Saiki does write some lyrics. I saw them live on Miku's birthday in Dallas. Very special night with very special ladies. If you ever get the chance to see them live, you are in for a treat. Watching their live 'serving' you will see just how original and innovative this band is. They are truly breaking new gate.
the MV's are good.. where Band Maid shines is Live ... .pick a live performance .. sit back and be amazed.... FYI .. they are coming back to the states .. tickets are on sale.. if they are in your area.. dont miss it.....
im japanese🤘 i love BAND-MAID but there are even more aggressive female bands in japan the band name is NEMOPHILA, listen to song called RISE, you"ll be amazed🤘
"Breaking New Gate" is the Japanese equivalent to "Kicking down the door" "Thrill" was truly pivotal for Band Maid. They had a minor label EP that was mostly Pop-Punk and wasn't charting well. Pun intended, the EP didn't "Thrill" Band-Maid either. The label wasn't approving the songs they were writing and they were recording what they were told to whether they liked the songs or not. "Thrill" was a the B-side to a single and their label had scheduled a video shoot for the single's A-side. The A-side was pleasant enough, but it didn't ROCK and when the group arrived at the shoot they had already decided they were going to perform "Thrill", the COOL song, instead of doing what they were told. What Band-Maid didn't know was that their label was about to drop them and their management was going to break up the band and try to market the two vocalists as a duo of "Singing, Dancing Maids", another "Idol Act". The video released in Japan - to yawns. But then, a J-Rock UA-cam channel in the US promoted the video and it went viral. Management had an epiphany, kept the band together, and got them a better record label. BTW: rumor has it that it was Band-Maid founder Kobato Miku's idea to start the song with the phrase "Breaking New Gate". Also BTW: Band-Maid and the Metal Maids concept is entirely Miku Kobato's invention. She had worked at Maid Café and liked her cute uniform. She had also sung in a idol trio singing and dancing in cutesy clothes, singing cutesy songs, and did not like it. Her idea was to shock the audience by appearing on stage dressed in cute maid outfits and then blow everyone away with thundering rock-n-roll. Band-Maid is not a "Put up band", Miku Kobato recruited lead guitar Kanami Tono, who recruited drummer Akane Hirose, who recruited her friend Misa to play bass. Vocalist Saiki was recruited through auditions. Band-Maid now composes, arranges, and produces all their songs and albums. Composition is led by Kanami Tono, and Misa and Akane compose their bass and drum scores. Miku and Saiki write the lyrics. Their lyrics seem simple at first but are quite sophisticated linguistically. The combination of English and Japanese is quite deliberate. They bend and blend genre: pop, punk, prog, classic rock, rap, metal all go into the blender and somehow it comes out as "Band-Maid" excellent. They had a huge catalog: go to their UA-cam channel and just pick songs at random. You will find something you like, particularly the "Official live" videos, their live act outshines their studio recordings. Suggested: Chose Me Daydreaming Puzzle From Now On Moratorium Page About Us Giovanni Rinne After Life Unleash Gion-cho and Secret Maiko Lips (You'll love them dressed in traditional Geisha Kimono) YOLO
It's common to have reservations about their outfits but you needn't worry. It's the band's decision to wear them, and they refer to them as their "battle armour". This isn't a band that relies on sex appeal for its success. Don't take my word for it, just go into any of their videos and read the comments. You'll find very few talking about their appearance (never mind fetishising or sexualising them) and thousands of users talking about how the band has inspired them, re-invigorated their love of music, or changed their life for the better. This band is the real deal and the fans are fans for the music.
They are the best rock band in the world today! They have many more songs and they are all great. Here are the names of the band members. Kanami(Mincho) - Lead Guitar, Misa(The Assassin) - Bass, Miku(Little Pigeon) - Rhythm Guitar and Creator of Band-Maid, Akane - Drummer Extraordinaire, and Saiki - Lead Singer. Thanks for your reaction. As important as Thrill is for the history of Band Maid, and I like the song, a lot have happen since it came out and changed the fortune of Band Maid. They transformed how I think about music and the album Unseen World is just epic imho. They produce fantastic music like it is going out of fashion and I prefer to listen to their music per album but I give you two suggestions from the latest EP, Influencer (official MV) and Sense (official live video). There is also an official MV for Sense that is also good but you asked for a live performance. Have fun! :) Influencer ua-cam.com/video/e_bEf1C0spY/v-deo.html Sense ua-cam.com/video/p5Lo7t9Yzxw/v-deo.html
Okay, names, pronunciation, nicknames, and roles, in order that they joined the band. Miku Kobato - mee-koo - Kuruppo, the Little Pigeon, the Little Engine Who Will - band founder, backing (and occasionally lead) vocals, rhythm guitar, principal lyricist, tireless Spokespigeon and PR machine. Wielder of weapons grade cuteness. So determined to see her band succeed that she fired herself as lead singer (she decided her voice wasn't strong enough for hard rock), then went looking for a replacement. Learned to play guitar after the band was formed. Kanami Tono - kah-nah-mee - Kanamincho or just Mincho - lead guitar, keyboards, principal composer and arranger. On stage, she's a savant mad riffer with a room temperature IQ and a huge crush on Saiki. In reality, she's a genius, and not just musically- she has a degree in economics with honors from Tokyo University. Akane Hirose - ah-kah-neh - A-chan, the Gorilla - drums, sequencing, snacks, the leader the band doesn't have. What you see is what you get- a cheerful jock with a huge appetite who burns off the calories murdering her drums. Frequently snacks between songs. MISA - mee-sah - the Barefoot Assassin, MISA MISA MISA! - bass, booze, occasional wet work. Usually stone faced. Barely acknowledges the audience's existence. Always has a beer or a bottle of Jim Beam on her Orange amp. Originally, these were ways of coping with stage fright. These days, that's just how the assassin rolls. Saiki Atsumi - sah-ee-kee (but Psyche is close enough) - the Ice Queen, Sensei, Sai-chan - lead vocals, some lyrics, the "We're done" girl. Fashionista and train nerd. In total command on stage; hides behind Miku off stage (she's actually kind of shy).
Oh and as you will undoubtedly hear, Band Maid is currently the best band in the world. Yeah I know there is no such thing, but they are in the conversation.
Welcome to Band-Maid! These ladies are amazing live. You should try something newer from them. I noticed you have "cartoon characters" behind you. You probably like anime. One of their most recent Videos, "Unleash" is partially them animated and the song rocks. Check out the official MV for unleash form their youtube channel and be prepaired to fall in love with these ladies. 😁
This 2014 video was the make-it-or-break-it video for Band Maid. At this point Miku couldn't play the guitar since she thought she was only going to be a vocalist in the band. However this video did so well due to exposure in foreign markets, that it was decided that Band-Maid was going to be a successful project and that gave them the financial wherewithal to get started. This is before MISA and Saiki started dressing Gothic. Band-Maid is Jimmy Page approved!

It could be like breaking through a TORI gate? They symbolize stepping from our world into the spirit world, and other things. Usually Tori gates are vermillion red. You see them at temples and also seemingly out in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, that is what I think of hearing that, Breaking New Gate, line. Other must see JBands: Lovebites, Nemophila for extremely high quality all women metal bands. Many more JBands that will amaze.
Been around for the fanbase for some time and never found abetter explanation for "Breaking New Gate". Learning languages ain't easy, and kicking down the door does kind of fit the theme.
Going forward, you don't need to alter videos for Band-Maid. They enjoy reaction videos and have even shouted out at reactors at concerts when they recognize them. They will not make a copyright claim/block. Suggestions: "Domination (Live)," and "Freedom (Live.)"
So the line "Just breaking new gate" always amused me about this song, probably a poor translation of what they were trying to say. One day I thought it might be interesting to try to make that line make sense as is, without changing or adding any words. I managed to do it, and that exercise became the basis for a novel I'm writing.
the biggest difference between this MV with their later ones, is that girl who barely play her guitar, while in this she barely stroke any notes on it, later videos she shred hard,
They are a great, fun band. full of talented musicians - yet not even the best in Japan! That honor goes to Lovebites. But I am nitpicking. I am a huge fan and can't wait to see them in 4 weeks in Charlotte!
Japanese GIRLS BAND is 30 years ago HARD Rock, SHOW-YA, POP Rock, princess princess. It started with Japan is, The best in the world It has become a country with many GIRLS BANDs. Now, HARD Metal GIRLS BAND 10 groups are famous、
I highly recommend watching thier live with manners/black hole next A great supposition to show the levity of talent they have Edit: Though thrill was my first song I heard as well, it has no bearing on the growth these girls have had these past couple years!
This was their first video and under their Mangement group where they wanted them to be more pop style. The band didn't stay there long. This song they released last year and its more grunge style and just "dirtier "sounding. I love this for it got me to them. This version is better IMO. Oh BTW they have been my favorite band for last 6 years. I love them.. ua-cam.com/video/XwRrpaSbaGk/v-deo.html
Hello and welcome to Band-Maid. I post an information file for new reactors to Band-Maid. I have to spit it bypass the YT filters. So here is the first section. Band Maid Is; (In order of joining band) Name/Age: Nickname: Position: Miku Kobato Small Pigeon/ Band Founder, Secondary Lead Vocalist, Rhythm Guitarist, Main Lyricist, Age: 31 Koba/Kuruppo/ Backing Vocals, Backing Tracks, Arrangements 10/21/91 Cluppo Kanami Tono Princess/ Lead Guitarist, Primary Composer, Backing Vocals, Keyboards, Backing Tracks Age: 31 Kanamincho/ Backing Vocals on Backing Tracks, Arrangements 9/28/91 Mincho Akane Hirose Gorilla/ Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals on Backing Tracks, Backing Tracks, Age: 32 Ah-Chan Arrangements 12/14/90 MISA Barefoot Assassin/ 5 String Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals on Backing Tracks, Backing Tracks Age: 30 MISA-MISA-MISA Arrangements 10/15/92 Saiki Atsumi Ice Queen/ Primary Lead Vocalist, Backing Vocals, Lyricist, Backing Vocals on Backing Age: 29 Sai-Chan/ Tracks, Backing tracks, Arrangements 2/8/94 Sensei (Teacher) If someone would post a reply to this, I can post the rest of the file as a reply to them. And Band-Maid is one of the few bands that doesn't copyright strike or remove videos unless it is a blatant ripoff. Meaning you are just posting for views and have nothing to add. The Ladies themselves enjoy watching reactions to their songs, so if it's someone who is only posting their vids to get views and shill for $$ they don't like that and have been known to have those vids removed. And if they feel the reactor is offering a unique view/review of their music, they will even share part of the revenue with the reactor. (usually only a few cents but it's the thought) Your next video should be a Live version. Domination live from their channel is the BIGGIE Live video that has made many people fans of Band-Maid for LIFE. And if someone will post a reply to this comment, I can post the rest of the information file as a reply to their reply.
@@seizetheday5008 Thankee, here is the rest of the file. Band Maid was started in 2013 by Miku Kobato. At the time she had just left the Idol Group, Lil Cumin and she didn't like the type of music she had been performing. She approached her management agency with the idea of making an actual band playing rock music but dressed as maids. She had worked in a Maid Cafe and thought the image of maids playing rockin music would create what she called "The Gap" between what you see and what you hear. The Management company was like Ok, go ahead. Miku then looked around and found Kanami a singer/songwriter who was posting her own videos on the internet. Miku had her agency contact her and Kanami thought the idea was cool and agreed to join. Miku then asked if Kanami knew a drummer who might be interested. Kanami had worked with Akane in the past and there is 2 versions of this, the first is, Kanami literally walked over to Akane's apartment and asked her, the second is Kanami called Akane and asked her. (Akane has said in 2 different interviews that 1: Kanami called her and asked if she could come over and 2: in a second interview Kanami just came over) Akane was actually hesitant as she had worked in an "All Girl Group" before and didn't enjoy it as it wasn't the type of music she wanted to play. After hearing a Demo, Akane was like ok, but was still slightly hesitant because of the "Maid Outfits", but she agreed to give it a try. Akane was asked if she knew a bass player and she had gone to Tokyo School of Music with MISA and had worked a couple of jobs with her. So Misa was contacted and after she heard a demo she was like I like the music, but she also was hesitant about the "Maid Outfits", but she relented and joined in as she really wanted to play the kind of music she heard in the demo. The 3 of them then "Auditioned" for the record company and passed the audition. Now we have the "Core" members. The 4 members worked out some songs provided for them by the record company, and a setlist and they had performed 3 times with just Miku on main vocals. Miku after those performances felt that her voice wasn't powerful enough to really perform the songs she wanted. So she approached her management company again and asked if they had any singers who weren't in other projects. They then auditioned several singers. Miku heard Saiki rehearsing in a room across the hall and asked if she could be auditioned, the record company then had Saiki audition. Saiki was signed to the same management company and had done some work as a backup singer and dancer and was asked if she would be interested in auditioning for this new group which currently had 4 members and she would be the fifth. She had been a member of a group with 8 other people as a backup singer and dancer, and HATED it. So she listened to the demo and thought "Cool" because she liked the music. Now we come to the tricky part. Miku KNEW that if Saiki was told about the "Maid Outfits" she would say NO WAY!, so they didn't tell her. They told her they would have "Cool/cute Clothes"(I've read it translated either way), and she never met Miku until a few days before they had a contracted performance. She wasn't told about the "Maid Outfits" until the day before the performance, and she had considered backing out, but she had signed the contract. (Saiki also had NEVER met Miku until then as well) So the Ladies, went and did the performance and Saiki really, REALLY liked the crowds reaction and the music they were performing. She DIDN'T like the apron she wore so it got ditched after the first performance. And you now have the beginnings of the BEST LIVE HARD ROCK BAND in the WORLD! ALL HAIL BAND MAID!!!!! Now that we have the Full band, it was felt that there needed to be a second guitar. Saiki was like, "Not Me, No Way." So Miku said, "I'll do it.", at first that was literally all she did, was hold the guitar and mime playing it, until Akane said, if you are going to hold it, you NEED to learn to play it. And Miku said, "Ok.", and Kanami started to teach Miku how to play. The Ladies released their first album in 2014 "Maid in Japan" which failed to chart, but later after "Thrill" it was reissued and charted to #26 in Japan.
Then in 2015 they released "New Beginning" On New Beginning was the song that changed Band Maid's entire existence. "Thrill"... The band was getting ready to release their first music video and the choice was between "Love, Passion, Matador" and "Thrill" and the ladies chose Thrill. (Little known fact, Miku helped with the lyrics on Thrill but did not get credited) This became the seminal moment of Band Maid. Because their second album charted at #64, the record company was seriously considering disbanding the Ladies and switching them to other projects. (In fact they had Kanami and Akane work with Mochi to Cheese thinking that when Band Maid cratered they could use them in another band. MISA had also just started working with Mochi to Cheese as well). However about 6 months after the video's release, a Facebook page "JRock Radio" posted the video to their timeline. And the video went viral. Having over a million views in just a few short weeks. The Ladies Twitter page got so many hits they thought their page had been hacked. Their UA-cam channel also started getting more and more subscribers and views to Thrill. Now the ladies knew where their fans wanted them to go. Harder Rock, less pop. And history was Maid. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask, I and many others would be very glad to help answer them.
Saw them in 2022 in the US. Amazing live. Want something harder? BM's got it. Fast? BM. Technical? BM. Punk? BM's got that too. A ballad? See BM. Progressive instrumentals? BM has you covered. Kick as solos from guitar, to bass, to drums? All BM.
BAND-MAID is rock and roll in all its forms.
you going to see them again in May?
@Bekka Noyb not this time. Nowhere near me. PNW so Seattle was closest. But never thought I'd see them live ever. So pretty happy with that.
@@cbus4126 Yeah, the closest they play to me is like 4 hours away drive, but that's a festival which is like $300 a day ticket! So instead flying to Houston to see em. Gotta friend who lives nearby. So kinda dual purpose trip
I just saw them in Kumamoto to start their 10th Anniversary Tour. AWESOME!!! This is why they were named the best J-rock band of 2022 by J-Rock News.
But I appreciate the layman's reactions too.
I've seen that video so many times, but never noticed it was raining that day 😉
And yes, please give them another chance.
You can add 'Play' on there too 🔥🔥🔥🤘
Band Maid, at present, is the best rock band on the planet.
Miku uttering the three words, breaking new gate. Is where this legendary band all began !

Breaking new gate(s) means just what you said. Band-Maid has been breaking down barriers with their music for ten years now.
Fun stuff:
They refer to their fans as Masters & Princesses and their concerts as "servings."
Misa, the bass player, plays barefoot and wears a flask containing whiskey on her hip.
Can't wait!

This is their first official music video back in 2014 that started it all.
No one expects the BAND-MAID!
(Hat tip to Monty Python)
As others are saying here, their official live performances are great. I'd also recommend the music video for Influencer, which is very recent (and very cool).
BAND-MAID is the best Hard Rock band on Earth right now. Seriously.
welcome to our worldwide club of masters and princesses!
Yeah we weren’t kidding when we said they were great!!🔥🤘🏼🤩
From this 9-year old song they have grown to opening for Guns N Roses and have become the best rock band on the planet since GNR. They are not a gimmick act…they are the real deal!
Need proof:
- Domination - official live video
- Influencer - official MV
- From Now On. -official MV
- Blooming - official MV
- No God - official MV
- Manners / Black Hole - official live video
That’ll do it. Then know there are dozens more this great!
They are coming back to US in May and August - you have to go see them LIVE!! 🤯🥳😄
Take at and enjoy the journey! 🔥🤘🏼🎸🎼🥁🤘🏼😀✌🏼
From JAPAN ■ Introducing BAND-MAID Thank you for reaction BAND-MAID. (^^♪
BAND-MAID is a five-member girls rock band.

Domination (LIVE) is now a few years old but you can really see how they have changed.
ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html
Their latest MV is a great instrumental. From Now On. They are all virtuosos on their instruments! Can't wait for you to check them out again!
Though this song may not demonstrate it, they are phenomenal musicians. Their live performances are incredible.
YESSSSS
BAND-MAID FOREVER
But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits like Sense, Glory and Unleash (from their own Anime MV (series?)): ua-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/v-deo.html)
And many songs are represented with nearly 50 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts:

And some of the better quality fan videos are excellent. Here’s two of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at an intimate venue:

If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.
For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies.

Welcome to the Maids!, probably the best Hard Rock band of the moment. Their strong is live, so I think you would especially enjoy Real Existence or Domination (Official Live Videos). Good job and thanks!
Domination Live, Freedom Live, Influencer, From Now On, Onset... and many more...
No turning back once you listen to the living legends known as band maid that's it any song will never let you down but make sure it official mv ' s or live so be carful my recommendations would be domination official live and then daydreaming mv seriously daydreaming official mv is a must they are the greatest band on the planet if you like lyrics then freezer studio version is great ot puzzle acoustic version if you can find it
you MUST see them live to appreciate the true power of these girl. please try Domination live 2020 Diver City Tokyo.
The video that saved the band. They have improved so much it's mind boggling. This was their first video
Play official live video too..
The greatest rock band in the world!! Definitely need to check out their official live videos.
Band-Maid are:
Miku Kobata - Rhythm guitars, vocals, lyrics, ambassador, MC, Small Pigeon.
Check our their live performances, whole different animal.
Welcome to the Maidiacs, Molly. Cheers from Norway.
the MV's are good.. where Band Maid shines is Live ... .pick a live performance .. sit back and be amazed.... FYI .. they are coming back to the states .. tickets are on sale.. if they are in your area.. dont miss it.....
One of the best bands on the planet! Love them
Hi Molly, welcome to the world of Band-Maid.

Welcome to Band-Maid Molly Bee!
Alot will give you a request for DOMINATION Live. So I'll go for PLAY Live either way you will get a THRILL.😁 Welcome to BAND-MAID.
im japanese🤘
i love BAND-MAID but there are even more aggressive female bands in japan the band name is NEMOPHILA, listen to song called RISE, you"ll be amazed🤘
Thrill is the gateway drug that created many a Maidiac. Enjoy your trip down this rabbit hole. It's deep and wide and wonderful.
"Breaking New Gate" is the Japanese equivalent to "Kicking down the door"
"Thrill" was truly pivotal for Band Maid.

BAND-MAID PO !
They are the best rock band in the world today! They have many more songs and they are all great. Here are the names of the band members. Have fun! :)

Your face is just like the singer Saiki.....☺☺☺

I recommend going to LiveNation and drive, swim, walk take a plane a train but do what you can and see them live in May
It could be like breaking through a TORI gate? They symbolize stepping from our world into the spirit world, and other things. Usually Tori gates are vermillion red. You see them at temples and also seemingly out in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, that is what I think of hearing that, Breaking New Gate, line. Other must see JBands: Lovebites, Nemophila for extremely high quality all women metal bands. Many more JBands that will amaze.
This is their very first Music Video from years ago. You should see some of their newer stuff, especially the Official LIVEs.
Been around for the fanbase for some time and never found abetter explanation for "Breaking New Gate". Learning languages ain't easy, and kicking down the door does kind of fit the theme.
They're playing the US (southeast mostly) in May. Don't miss a chance to see them.
Going forward, you don't need to alter videos for Band-Maid. They enjoy reaction videos and have even shouted out at reactors at concerts when they recognize them. They will not make a copyright claim/block. Suggestions: "Domination (Live)," and "Freedom (Live.)"
That was their first M/V - they just ge better and better! 👍😎😊
check out their song Play live
People my age tend to notice the music more than the video. And the music is awsome. The Vibe is more important than the translation.
So the line "Just breaking new gate" always amused me about this song, probably a poor translation of what they were trying to say. One day I thought it might be interesting to try to make that line make sense as is, without changing or adding any words. I managed to do it, and that exercise became the basis for a novel I'm writing.
Def go onto their UA-cam page and watch the more recent music they just dropped a live music video of puzzle which you might like
I glad you finally got around to Band-Maid. I actually thought you would never do them after many requests.
the biggest difference between this MV with their later ones, is that girl who barely play her guitar, while in this she barely stroke any notes on it, later videos she shred hard,
This is the best active band on the planet right now
They are a great, fun band. full of talented musicians - yet not even the best in Japan! That honor goes to Lovebites. But I am nitpicking. I am a huge fan and can't wait to see them in 4 weeks in Charlotte!
You get old recommendations new ones all ones..they are all good
Did you say 'Live performances'? Hold my beer ;) hehe

Anything of the offical live. you will love the. Domination is a favorite of mine.
I highly recommend watching thier live with manners/black hole next
A great supposition to show the levity of talent they have
Edit: Though thrill was my first song I heard as well, it has no bearing on the growth these girls have had these past couple years!
I love band maid this was amazing 💗- Azure, domination , hide and seek are goodddddd bandmaid bops btw
Listen to Freedom. Official live videos from them are even better
Any official Live videos are just off the chart.

If someone would post a reply to this, I can post the rest of the file as a reply to them.
(usually only a few cents but it's the thought)
Your next video should be a Live version. Domination live from their channel is the BIGGIE Live video that has made many people fans of Band-Maid for LIFE.
And if someone will post a reply to this comment, I can post the rest of the information file as a reply to their reply.
Thank you.
(Saiki also had NEVER met Miku until then as well)
So the Ladies, went and did the performance and Saiki really, REALLY liked the crowds reaction and the music they were performing.
Then in 2015 they released "New Beginning"
On New Beginning was the song that changed Band Maid's entire existence. "Thrill"...
The band was getting ready to release their first music video and the choice was between "Love, Passion, Matador" and "Thrill" and the ladies chose Thrill. (Little known fact, Miku helped with the lyrics on Thrill but did not get credited)
This became the seminal moment of Band Maid.
