Fun Fact: You can catch over 500 fish in a single day if you fish from every fishing spot. P.S. If you need another challenge idea, you could try beating the game (or some Local Legend of your choice) with only weapons (and maybe artifacts and food) acquired from talking to NPCs (NPC/Dialogue Rewards). For example, there's an NPC in Sumeru that gives you a Harbinger of Dawn if you talk to them, and an NPC in Liyue that gives you a Black Tassel. There's a wiki page that documents all NPC Dialogue Rewards so that will help a lot.

This was very fun to watch! Unpopular opinion: I do like fishing, and even more because it's really rewarding ...much more than wishing or rolling artifacts in a sense... this is guaranteed improvements (especially the catch and the pipe) for a little effort.
im kind of tempted to try this challenge, but so that its *only* done with fishing weapons, this is the main rule you can use characters to light elemental totems, fires, ect, but you cannot use any characters in combat until you get the fishing weapons

I basically did everything for The Catch by accident and built it for Rosaria. 😂 Also the local legend battles are seriously a C U Next Tuesday. They are worse than story line boss battles. Difficult wouldve been fine, but Hoyoverse over did it.
Here's a challenge idea: beating Genshin (main storyline) using only stuff from chests. Only chest weapons, only chest artifacts, only chest talent and weapon mats, nothing you get from quests or gacha, the only allowed use of resin is bosses so you can get ascensions for your characters

After the moon fish event, I never touched fishing ever again in LIFE and I refuse to ever fish for these weapons man. I'm so glad Skyward Spine was my first 5 star from standard so using that on Raiden and just use fav on Furina. And I refuse to ever touch Xiangling so I have no reason to farm for The Catch ever in life.
I remember farming the pipe for Furina and thinking "Oh this isn't so bad" but oh boy was i not ready for the goddamn Catch grind. At least her excellency the Narukami Ogosho God of Thunder seems to enjoy her silly bident so i'm happy.

Hmm, I don't time how long it takes, but generally they've taken about a week to grind and record, the fishing one was the worst I think, since getting to inazuma takes forever. Though the editing and putting the video together can often take longer than the grind itself. Hope that answers your question!
I spent around 3 weeks getting the fleuve Cendre to r5 for my furina, never again.... im so glad i got raidens signature weapon so i didn't have to worry about fishing for the catch ;-;

The Catch (fishing polearm) has harder requirements than Fleuve Cendre Ferryman (fishing sword), so no wonder more people have it.
