Got to be the cleanest bike ever washed. I’ve seen so many people online talking about how bad it is to take your bike to the pressure washer. As long as you use common sense. Like he’s doing and don’t overdo it. It’s fine.
the scottish accent is my favourite accent on earth, one of the reasons i love scotts because they have a DO NOT GIVE A SH*T ATTITUDE, be proud of where you're from and how you talk, who ever doesnt like it can simple not watch. good job on the video as its helped alot of people.
As others have said, quite a soothing watch :-) Some pointers (hope you wont mind). First of all, snowfoam goes first. It's job is to gently lift off the top dirt so to avoid rubbing in on the wash. Second, in most cases, strong-ish detergents like muc-off often aren't required, and so should be used sparingly. Muc-off is a mid-scale alkaline: not brutal, but corrosive nonethess (especially to alloys), so shouldn't be left to dwell on the bike. Third, I found the use of the brush in itself a bit horrifying, but even more so without repeated dunking in fresh water! Mitt and 2-bucket method is the way to go. Then pat dry with a towel and finish off with the blower. Anyway, lecture over,. Lovely bike - ride safe and best wishes.
samsara got to disagree slightly but that’s not meaning your points are wrong or not, the snowfoam does not remove dirt alone it will only encourage to lift it, in my opinion the only difference to putting it on to a dry surface is that it stays thicker for longer. Functionality wise it makes no difference, the dirt and grime will remove as effectively by rinse first then foam, I guess it’s just preference and probably only really matters if your wanting to get enough time to take a photo for your instagram ;) i would always prefer to remove the worst of the dirt then showdown, but again it’s just a routine preference. I see your point on the brush, I should actually have it in the description that it’s a squirrel hair brush and not a hard cleaning one. That’s my bad so appreciate the feedback there. There’s a comment on by another you tuber who’s made a brilliant suggestion for an alternative cleaning agent, that’s what I’m going to try after the winter, hopefully that’s one that you’ll agree with too. Thanks for the comment and opinion dude, have a great day :) :)
I did the same and noticed some discoloration of the aluminum muffler, I am not sure if ACF50 caused the discoloration due to the muffler heating up after the ACF50 was applied or what.
It will cause discoloration on surfaces that get hot. It seems to deteriorate with heat cycles not time. To avoid it you have to clean it off and reapply again. Unfortunately it's just the way this product is. I've stopped using it on parts that get noticeably hot.
Helpful video, thank you. Nothing wrong with the Scottish accent that subtitles can't fix! Only kidding, plenty of popular UA-camrs and presenters with Scottish accents, go for it. Someone will always complain whatever you do.
Good video, shouldn't be afraid to put a wonderful Scottish accent to your video big lad, it's a great accent, and I'm from Yorkshire!!!! Love Scotland, insane motorcycling and holiday destination.
Very good mate, well done. Nice bike. Don’t apologise for the accent. I’m a Geordie and speak in code. Love the accent and the people north of the border. Ride safe...
Lovely bike..and great overall video...👍🏻 My 2cents worth of a comment (and something that I do differently),is..use “multiple” brushes/washing-drying cloths vs. the one to “fit” all approach. (Swirls and scratches tend to form on the plastics from the dust/debris that is sitting on the metals from ‘down under’),and regularly rinse out the brushes,as you “agitate” the dirt off the parts. Give “Sdoc100” and the product range a go next time, and see the difference vs. “muc-off” 👍🏻 Ride safe 🏍
The attachment doesn’t give the same pressure when it’s syphon feed from the buckets of water. When fed from a tap directly they are able to clean slabs as you say but it’s far weaker from the bucket fed which is why it’s used here. A bucket fed lance nozzle gives out a similar pressure to that of setting 2 of the vario Karcher nozzle. 👍🏻
Great vid! Ain't nowt wrong wi yer Skoowtish accent Mr McHoffnungslos!! A very helpful 'How to'....and brill that the colour of your jacket sleeves matched both the Kárcher and the buckets...nice touch!!!
Great video! I got the muc-off pressure washer which is good, but when I dry the bike I always seem to have missed bits! :( Getting All Year Biker to do ACF50 later this month before Scottish winter sets in. Seems advice after ACF50 is just to give a gentle hose down over winter as a thorough clean will wash ACF50 off. It Means the bike looks bogging for a few months until deep clean in spring but keeps rust at bay. Cheers.
You didn’t seem worry about spraying the switchgear on the handlebars. Do you ever spray the ACF50 under the seat on the battery and electrical connectors. I ask because under the seat on my CBR got very dusty and dirty. Beautiful bike stunning job. I must get a bike dryer. Thanks
Jeffrey Hurst hi fella, I really don’t know about that tbh. If you want to be sneaky you could drop an email to All Year Biker and ask them if they do that area. They are the franchise service that come and do the bikes with this technique for £85, if they don’t do it I wouldn’t just incase. CBR will be my next bike once this goes back, I miss fairings like crazy! Stay healthy buddy :)
Looks just like the Street Triple in my Garage.... the one in my garage has Triumph Frame Sliders and the Engine Covers as well. Plus R&G Front wheel sliders.... Awesome bike, great engine.... Schottischen Akzent? Nächstens TEAPOT 1 has a Scottish accent and people seem to love him. Enjoy the Street Beast....
Great ideas for using ACF 50 - will be trying in next 15 minutes on my 2021 - 765 Street & 2020 Gtpro tiger 900 - will just use a spray bottle with acf in it and warm it up before spraying it cheers
BCL to the buckets buddy, karcher have a small adaptor. The pressure isn’t as strong though which made it great for the bike. I now have an outside tap so use the other nozzle for a much lower setting
Hoffnungslos Cool 👍 I’ve been reading up on the suction hoses you can buy for the Karcher, if you’ve no outside tap (like me). So the way you’ve done it in the video is the way I’d be doing it.
Not my goal to bust chops as I appreciate the work put into the video, but a reminder that if you power wash a motorcycle or bicycle. 1 Don't get so close it shreds something 2 If you blast your joints you can push dirt into them 3 Be sure to look into making sure your joints are greased after
Bradley the use of the syphon with the buckets reduces the power of the marcher drastically buddy. What people are constantly thinking is a full power jet wash really isn’t anywhere close. The level of water used hints to that too :) The aftercare with lube etc I couldn’t be bothered doing on the video, this one is just to show how to afc50 your bike easily. Thanks for the input buddy, all the best :)
Great video, lovely bike, good to see how it’s done. Will look out for your other videos, would like to see how you clean the chain, cheers PS: Hope you do voiceover mate because someone’s always gonna have an issue with anything anyone does, if it’s not an accent it’ll be a typo. Haters gonna hate.
I found ACF50 to be quite viscous and difficult to spray with the trigger bottle supplied, and had considered using a cheap spray gun for the job... You just sold it to me, definitely the way forward!
Mike Shields using the trigger bottle would kill your hands, be just as painful as masterbating after using a litre of delay spray. A small cheap nail gun compressor and a fast mover spray gun would work well. Combined cost of around £40-£50. Have fun dude
@@Boy.of.wonder I've already got a decent compressor and a cheap primer gun with a 1.2 tip, will give it a go. Actually looking forward to doing it now. As for the trigger gun they supply, it's fecking useless.
I agree Mike but if the spray trigger bottle is all you have then hot water helps. I have an electric paint sprayer I might try that this winter. Regards
Great job pal and strangely satisfying seeing the final, lovely clean bike :) I’m with the other guys, don’t be ashamed of your accent, Scottish accent sounds cool to everyone else anyway
Good work mate. Did mine today, you are better of using the Wurth chain wax in the winter as the dry lube comes off with the first sign of any rain! Also agree about the bike dryer as wouldn’t be without mine 😜
Nice video and thanks for posting. I am no expert but would recommend a face mask of some sort, such as used when spray painting, to prevent inhaling any of that stuff.
Windy Run would do it it wasn’t low pressure and outside fella. Enclosed space for sure, but a mask outside for me is a bit like wearing wellies when it gets cloudy :) thanks for the comment though man, always like to see folks input. Ride safe :) :)
David Flower I really don’t know buddy, that’s one for someone in the know to answer. I haven’t seen any evidence of it but again I honestly couldn’t say
Nice job my friend and a good instructive video.Who says we don't like the Scottish accent,I think it's a great accent. One thing you should be aware of,Muc-Off,contains a lot of salt.I own a new BMW RT,I am told that if corrosion developes on a BMW bike whilst it still under warranty,BMW will void the warranty if you you use Muc-Off.They say that Muc-Off,is far to harsh and should be avoided.I use S Doc 100.Bloody expensive but I have found nothing that comes close to how it cleans and it leave an anti corrosion film on the bike.I still apply my ACF50 though, with an air compressor and gravity fed spray gun, not a Devilbiss though, just a cheap one but puts the stuff on in a fine mist, job done.Once again mate, thanks for the video, really enjoyed it.
Brian smith the gun you use will do the job absolutely perfectly, I use the devilbiss for work so just fortunate to have that. It’s a relaxing process to do on a decent weather day isn’t it. Thanks for the heads up with Muc-Off fella I will look at that and find some S Doc 100 today. Thanks man 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice video, shame about the lack of voiceover though, don't be ashamed of your accent, we all hate the sound of our own voices as it never sounds like us. Id also have taken the seat of and coated the electrics underneath.
If spraying inside I’d wear a half face mask it to be safe, but this was outside with low pressure. Unless you’re not used to spraying, when outside there isn’t any real need for ppe to that extent.
@@Boy.of.wonder thank you. I appreciate the advice. I just purchased a compressor myself so really keen to try this. What psi are you using in the spray gun?
Great and informative vid. Roughly how long for the whole process and is this a once a year process, ready for winter or do you do multiple ACF 50 applications?
Hey man, suprised to stumble across this vid and see you're from aberdeen. Do you know of any place in aberdeen that does this service or do you do this yourself? looking to get it done on my new bike when i get it as i dont trust myself nor can i be assed to do it haha
Keezo hi pal, sorry for the delay. All year biker, I know he’s selling his business but it is a national franchise. Shirlaws and Ecosse use him and he does a fantastic job. Always happy to meet up and run you through it buddy 👍🏻
Hi there! Great vid. Forgive me for asking but this is a anti corrosive protection, why spray it all over the bike? I just got 2 spraycans of this product but havent tried it yet. Thought i only needed it for the metal?
Yes, it is for metal, and electronics. But, as for the plastics it brings out the colour, especially the blacks which turn gray over time and gives the bike a nice shine all over.
Nicely done and and very informative. I don't have a compressor so would you recommend the spray can form or the liquid type with the pump spray I will be going to buy some in the next week or 2 to do mine, thanks
Karl K pick up a small 4-6l compressor for £30 buddy, doesn’t have to be anything fancy. I genuinely use all the kit here for work so I’m just lucky to have it all. One of the other guys in the comments has said that if you warm up the liquid the hand pump works perfectly fine. Maybe give that a try buddy. Cheers :)
I do use acf50 but putting it on with the gun like you have gives miles better coverage than the shitty can or squirty bottle. Think I need to go shopping👍😁
Beautiful bike, and some really good tips. Do you know if acf50 will be harmful to a matt black paint job? and does it leave behind any stickiness? Thanks
Redline Rossi I do wipe off the excess when I am done and let it dry. One of the guys up here that does this as a full time job buffs it in with a soft cloth. I really wouldn’t imagine it could damage the Matt paint but it’s maybe one to ask the dealership as I’m sure they will be better informed :)
Rocking in a free world agree with you on these although I don’t spray around the grips fella. The bars are applied with a lint free cloth but I did miss out that once the pegs are done I wipe the excess off to prevent them from being slippy. That’s my bad and thanks for bringing it up buddy 👌🏻👍🏻
Being a 365 day all-weather biker I usually do mine every 3 or 4 months and frankly it's not worth being too worried - After a couple of times of careful covering I ended up just wrapping the brake discs and calipers in a plastic bag and spraying everything else only being careful not to spray it in air intakes etc.. Once I've finished with the ACF50, cleaned and lubed the chain, I give the tyres a 30 second once over with a soapy brush and rinse them with the jetwash, then give the seat, grips and pegs a bit of extra attention with a clean microfibre and it's good to go. I was actually surprised at how easy ACF50 was to clean off tyres - easier than the faffing involved of covering them. Turns out the slippy qualities of ACF50 is no match for soap and a brush. All absolutely fine and no slippage on a wet road. As long as the tyres end up squeaky clean it won't be a problem.
Behave yourself boy, a devilbiss sri is about the €150 mark. Any spray gun would do, a sealey smart gun at €40 would work fine, I fail to see where I state the kit I use is vital. Stop using social media to be smarmy, women won’t fall at your feet for it. All the best with that leaf blower pal, wonder if it blows out as much hot air as you do
Great video !!, can I just ask if there's a partiuclar type of Traffic Film Remover to buy or are they all the same ? I'm gradually getting all the bits together to be ACF50 warrior :) Cheers.
Great video mate! I will soon be applying ACF-50 on my brand new z900, getting it delivered tmw by the dealer :) cant wait. As mentioned before, fuck what people say about your accent, I would love to watch this video with a scottish accent voice over. Greetings from a Brazilian living in Germany!
Graham Stewart hiya fella. That’s a good question, whilst my Street rs is the semi glossy finish (b@stards releases the Matt Black 3 months after I bought it) I don’t polish the bike. I would think though that the parts you polish would be the painted areas, such as the tank, and as far as I know the likes of All Year Biker don’t apply the acf50 over the tank. They do however wipe turtle wax over it instead after cleaning, again that’s just to my understanding. To answer though I think if you were to ACF50 the untreated areas of your bike and wax the painted you would be safe as a house. I also wouldn’t see any reason why waxing over the top of the applied ACF (when dry) would cause any issues. Darn good question though, hope to see others chip in with their thoughts too as I could be wrong :)
@@Boy.of.wonder beautiful cold and sunny day here in Lanarkshire just finished ACF 50 application, masked up wheels and covered the rest of the bike and wiped off excess from paintwork with a soft micro fibre cloth and paintwork gleaming so looks as if no adverse effects. Poured a wee bit of water on tank and water beads and runs off similar effect to as if tank was waxed👍
Nice work, my only tip from a professional view is to never use a brush on your paint. Use a high quality wash mitt. And anything that touches your wheels, motor, footpegs, fork, let any super dirty part of the motorcycle should never touch you paint as well. If so it will cause scratches and swirl marks in your paint.
Paul Stanley hey man, only reason for the tools is I have them for work, can honestly do the same with kit that costs much lower, a £30 fast mover spray gun from eBay would be just as effective honestly. I find the traffic film remover doesn’t leave a residue, the snow foam does. Cheers man :)
Also Scottish so can understand your comment but embrace it anyone who complains can just stop watching. One thing I would say regards the seat is that I take the seat off and get right underneath it so ACF under the seat as well.
As a mechanic I can instantly tell the bikes that come in that are over washed. Bearings all dead. Headset dead. Fork and suspension rusted and failing.
Hoff - cracking video, you should charge people to drop their bikes off to you for this treatment, could be a good wee side income. If you are up in Aberdeen area there are plenty of rusty bikes that could 100% uses this TLC.
Iv got to disagree with alot of people saying don't worry about your accent, having worked with you your so boring 😂 how's it going brother hope you're doing well seen this and was like I know him he's a right hat 😂😂
Adam Burrows 😂😂 life is good mate! Small world eh! I saw that guys are charging £85 to do this on bikes so if I can help save lads money by showing them how to do it... Accents a bitch, the amount of guys that gave me grief on the same video with my audio explanation was mental. So, put it back up without the voice ha! this is a little old, changed the bike last month. Hope you’re still bashing on as well as ever buddy ❤️

David Burns hi david, very good question and one that you could ask yourself (or inform us here) the next time you wash your car or see anyone else washing a car, windows, bus stop.... however the products are non toxic. The gully drains here are actually just water traps in a new build residential brickwork car park but as I say, the products are non toxic. You can google the data sheets if that’s what turns you on. Cheers
You’re most welcome. You are correct, why didn’t I think of that! Il wait for your step by step guide before washing the bike again. Just to keep me right..
Good video and useful, thank you. I just want to make a point about pressure washers. Using a pressure washer on a motorcycle is absolutely fine, providing you don’t use a bloody great industrial quality unit. A small professional/domestic/DIY unit will be perfect. The problems occur when careless (stupid people) use a bloody great high powered beast and/or stand and hold the Lance to close spraying the high pressure jet directly at electrical components, bearings and other delicate components. Keep the Lance moving and stand back at least a metre when using a pressure washer and all will be well. Common sense surely?! People without common sense have created the reputation pressure washers have for being dangerous/damaging to motorcycles. For all you antagonists out there, I back up my argument with this; I’ve used pressure washers on my motorcycles for the past 30 years and have never (repeat never) suffered a problem as a result. If you end up with a problem you are either stupid or mighty unlucky; but in my experience it is the former. Happy cleaning and don’t be afraid to use a pressure washer, just apply some common sense.
Got to be the cleanest bike ever washed. I’ve seen so many people online talking about how bad it is to take your bike to the pressure washer. As long as you use common sense. Like he’s doing and don’t overdo it. It’s fine.

Thanks man 👍🏻👍🏻
What a load of bollocks about muc off...
what’s the deal about Muc Off? I have never heard of it voiding a warrant... any documentation we can find from BMW? - supporting this claim
@@brianbrooking496 it’s an urban myth. The ‘salts’ in mucoff (and washing up liquid) aren’t corrosive.
@@sjv6598 thanks for the detailed non disputable scientific chemical MSDS masterclass 😳
That is very very thorough. Can I ask how frequently you clean your bike this thoroughly because I assume it takes quite some time.
Can you apply wax or sealant over the ACF-50?
Nice one Hoff!
Watching you do that has made me feel guilty enough to go out and do my Tiger...
Nice video, shame about the lack of voiceover though, don't be ashamed of your accent, we all hate the sound of our own voices as it never sounds like us. Id also have taken the seat of and coated the electrics underneath.
Best accent in the world. And I'm not a Scot
Thanks, the video is really helpful.
Do you need to wear a face mask to protect lungs and eyes?
@@Boy.of.wonder cheers mate appreciate the reply. will have a look into all year biker :)
Hi there!
Brilliant.. very thorough 👍🏻
I like the Scottish accent! Cheers from Germany!
mbtfp tag, I am over in Dortmund virtually monthly. 💛
Great vid mate .im from Aberdeen myself but now live in southern England and I’ve to talk really slowly to be understood lol
Peter Murray sorry, didn’t quite catch that say again :) :) :)
You need to also cover your hand grips and foot pegs. Good vid and good use of items.
Good video, I've just decided to get ACF50
Superb video, great stuff :) thanks !
Very informative video.thank you. Do you leave the afc50 on for a bit before wiping off? Ps love your bike, it looks cool.
Never apologize for accent! Proud 😎
better off mist spraying with aircan and paintbrush, much finer mist and no overspray = economical and very good coverage.
Great video bike looks fantastic 🇬🇧👍
I don't know that a $400 gun is needed. Also I use a cordless leaf blower to dry my bike, much quicker.
Behave yourself boy, a devilbiss sri is about the €150 mark. Any spray gun would do, a sealey smart gun at €40 would work fine, I fail to see where I state the kit I use is vital. Stop using social media to be smarmy, women won’t fall at your feet for it. All the best with that leaf blower pal, wonder if it blows out as much hot air as you do
Nice one bruvva

"What's going on out there!?!?!?" :D
i like the Scottish accent.
Great job on the bike also :)
Watch out, pressure washer can bend the heat sinks on your radiator.
wee question my man, can you polish paintwork after ACF50 application?
Manuel Family thanks man, will keep that in mind and make the changes :)
Also use the TFR first then when you come to the wash, they'll be far less on the paintwork that can cause the swirls. Great bike by the way!
Bruh, such expensive high tech tools. Great job though. Why Traffic Film Remover over Snowfoam?
Paul Stanley hey man, only reason for the tools is I have them for work, can honestly do the same with kit that costs much lower, a £30 fast mover spray gun from eBay would be just as effective honestly. I find the traffic film remover doesn’t leave a residue, the snow foam does. Cheers man :)
Hoffnungslos I don’t even have access to an external tap for a hose, lol.
Also Scottish so can understand your comment but embrace it anyone who complains can just stop watching.
One thing I would say regards the seat is that I take the seat off and get right underneath it so ACF under the seat as well.
Beautiful job she looks out of the showroom 😀
Great video. The text is far more compact that commentary. Prefer it. 👍
Damn bro, super nice
Lol you use the tile washing program on the preasure washer it is very bad it can harm the paint on the bike !!!!
Great vid there mate. How long do you reckon it actually took you to do?
Kevin B i think about 30 mins or so fella. The drying takes the longest, amazing how much water the grill can hold 😂
Good job!!🤘
As a mechanic I can instantly tell the bikes that come in that are over washed. Bearings all dead. Headset dead. Fork and suspension rusted and failing.
Prevent rust.?about if already havevit it.what to do
Nice one, cheers
People moan about your accent?
Disgraceful they are an obnoxious minority who should be ignored or silenced themselves.
Thanks for this vid.
Hoff - cracking video, you should charge people to drop their bikes off to you for this treatment, could be a good wee side income. If you are up in Aberdeen area there are plenty of rusty bikes that could 100% uses this TLC.
5:39 looks like a ghost bike
@@Boy.of.wonder yea doing good mate I seen you've got yourself a new bike looks amazing mate I'm thinking about getting a new bike the 2000 R6 is good but I want something up to date and it's showing its age, I'm living down south but if I'm heading bk up north at any point I'll drop you a message and we'll have a good catch up 👍, video good mate I need to do this to mine.
Adam Burrows def give a Zx6r a test ride buddy if your still looking to stick around a mid weight ❤️🏍💨
I notice you are parked over some kind of surface drain, where does the water, oily waste water and chemicals go to ?
David Burns hi david, very good question and one that you could ask yourself (or inform us here) the next time you wash your car or see anyone else washing a car, windows, bus stop.... however the products are non toxic. The gully drains here are actually just water traps in a new build residential brickwork car park but as I say, the products are non toxic. You can google the data sheets if that’s what turns you on. Cheers
Hi you could of took the seat off and done under it thanks 👍
Great video I’ll have to go outside and do mine again know 🤪 buy the way aScotish accent is fine buy me 🏴👍

Using a brush on your wheels then washing your tank with it??? 😂😂😂
