to be honest use acf 50 every time i clean bike, mostly on a cloth as i have vfr and all of engine is hidden by fairing, spray underseat and back suspension, i also use on wheels using cloth through winter, as long as you wipe off excess not a problem but like you say i keep off tyres and brakes etc, do like the bottle your using, will invest in one, cheers for sharing

Used this method was fine on first use. Second attempt & Acf50 even when heated up is coming out the bottle like a jet. I tryed again giving it abit more of a heat up to the point of reshaping the bottle. Then it decided to mist for little bit. But yet again come out like a jet after few sprays.
@@MOTOUK1 got another idea which did work very very well. Well I've got 2 now. Hvlp eletric spray gun. Ebrauer £45 from screwfix works amazing mate. The other is the stainless steel olive oil fine mist sprayers. £6.50 off ebay. You can heat the bottle up alot which makes it mist alot better.

Agree as long as you wipe on with a cloth, avoid spray as can get on discs and pads. Personally now I’ve ceramic coated the wheels and washing is now so easy

I only apply by rag some to end can, as it’s titanium. And yes some does go on the headers when I spray the engine but once started this smokes off in 5 minutes of starting

Yes I do coat the exhaust down pipes and end can. Just start up after to burn off the smoke. A minute or two, I feel as it binds at a molecular level doesn’t hurt doing this.

Why you don't apply ACF 50 on wheels? Just viping with microfiber cloth I am asking because I'm planing to put ACF 50 on my bike I have spoke wheels hard job to maintain.

So ACF50 bonds at a molecular level so no need to reapply. I use before winter then after winter twice a year. Aircrafts don’t do it every flight ✈️ either 👍 used for last 15 years and no rust on my bikes at all

Has your flairosol mist bottle clogged up and stopped working? first time i used it was great , went to use it a couple of weeks later it wouldn't work even after warming it up in hot water...
Mine was left with acf50 in all summer, all I did was put some hot water in a bowl, took the spray off and stuck the tube in the hot water, sprayed a few times to clean the old acf50 out of the spray. Then topped up the bottle popped it in hot water to heat up the acf50 then worked fine and applied to the bike.
Considering applying ACF50 to my bike soon and I have a question, Is ACF50 recommended to use on the radiator? I can imagine it attracting alot of muck, blocking the fins and reducing cooling. Thanks for the video

At 36k the owner of the dealership i worked at came out to the service dept and said to me scott that bike needs to go on the showroom floor i said that's my bike she said wow. Basically it was showroom condition. Im using it on my xsr900 today. Highly recommend product
Used the acf 50 for the first time today and the bike now looks brand new as well as adding protection. But I’ve seen on a few forums people removing it in spring and it being a problem to do so. Can I ask why would someone want to remove it ?

MotoUk bought one of these bottle but only came out as a single stream!! Any tips? I warmed it before use. Ended up reverting to the bottle that came with the ACF50!
Just wash as normal, acf50 bonds at a molecular level so ok to wash as normal. On all my bikes I vote before winter and before summer. I wash with Meguiars car shampoo, sponge, foam Lance and power wash gently before drying with an air dryer and finish with a easy wax on paint work. That’s it all winter. I have to say though I don’t ride in bad weather so if riding or commuting in winter bad weather then recommend a couple coats acf50 during the winter months. Keeps the corrosion away
I bought the aerosol version about 10 years ago and it put me off the product until i purchased it some years later in liquid form. It really comes out horribly, gloopy and leaves an awful finish, not sure why they even put it into production. Ac50 is a wonderful product though and stand by it as the top inhibitor on the market
@MotoUK good video mate, my mrs has a few of those atomiser bottles for cleaning products so will be "borrowing" one 😄 They should have stated on the aerosol to warm it up like this first and it probably works better. Maybe they do now but far more cost effective to buy in the big bottles.
Can I apply this safely on the forks/fork tubes? if I won’t get it on rotors or tyres) If I spray it on headers but it burns off, will it still prevent salt corrosion? You said it burns off... also, if I wax my bike does this prevent the wax from adhering (even if I do it months later?) Thanks
Hi so I apply to fork tubes by adding to a cloth and wiping on so I don’t risk spraying on tyres. Exhaust will burn off not protect really on headers but on engine block it will stay. This stuff bonds at a molecular level so by waxing it won’t be disturbed by waxing and will allow wax to adhere. No problem.

Acf50 bonds are a molecular level so no, washing the bike will not remove the product. Been using for over 10 years on my bikes and only apply twice yearly and all my bikes have been corrosion free and like new.
MotoUK I agree, I got both the aerosol and the liquid, buying in liquid form works out cheaper. I don't have a motorcycle but I like collecting this kind of oils and among the penetrating oils/maintenance oils(fluids) acf-50 is the most expensive but also thickest and one of the strongest.

It’s good on spoked wheels too, just apply on cloth, wear gloves too

There is no problem putting it on the wheels. The wheels need it as they are subject to the most wet.

Haha I do actually, especially to my Bonneville t120 spoked wheels. Apply to a cloth and wipe over. On my Yamaha I tend to ceramic coat those

Hi I would only put some on a cloth and wipe spoked wheels very thin layer so as not to drip on tyres only

It’s great stuff, I add in winter and a coat before summer. Once it’s on you don’t see it really. 👍

No just clean as normal. I coat two times a year
What do you do to keep the plastic parts clean?
Wash dry and add a spray of silicone shine and wipe.

Absolutely worth it, use a rag and a paint brush just wipe off excess 👍 I don’t to callipers no don’t recommend

Geoff, I half boiled a kettle and filled a jug as in video and left for 15minutes and was great.

Hi Marvin, so I would always pop either the can, bottle in hot water for 10 mins so it gets more thinner then it applies better on the bike.

ACF50 is not heat resistance, all that sprayed on the exhaust is a waste as it burns off.
