Antonio is such a great traveling merchant, he is an icon of the Classic Hardcore alliance experience. He sells incredible items like the Heavy Spiked Mace that you can’t easily find replacements for in Hardcore / solo-self-found. His path is so so long that players would actually communicate in general chat or ask hunters to Eagle Eye and find him.
I wanted to mention Thomas Yance in the Old Hillsbrad dungeon, wandering the main road. I haven't played in years, so i'm not sure if he still lives or sells the stuff, but he used to sell white rarity starting gear, some green quality starting shirts as well as a leatherworking recipe for a mount speed trinket. Back in the day it was quite the goldmine, so i guess he's not pointless enough.
@@amandaulfrica3857 the list is what's pointless, not the vendors. Some of the ones Crendor put on this list are actually notably useful, and sought after.
Most human characters I've come up with for RP purposes know Antonio Perelli in my headcanon for each of them. The 'closest' two being a lumberjack that supplies him with raw materials when he swings by Elwynn and a guard that became friends with him because of patrols routes in the region.
Missed out the 2 of the coolest traveling merchent in the game. The 2 goblin merchants in desolace. They even have quests that require you to escort them through the zone back and forth. Its two seperate quests aswell! Once you help them across the zone they sell rare cooking recipes that you might not otherwise be able to get based on your faction. If you don't help them through the zone they will die to a ambush and you have to wait a rather long respawn
That Ironstove guy is hilarious to me because...who the heck is he selling that bread to, other than the occasional insane adventurer who still walks places? 😂😂
Oh the Gizelton Caravan in Desolace would have been a great addition. Travels from one point to the next but it sells different things on each via the Vendor-Tron 1000 and Super-Seller 680.
No, I think number 9 was inversion of expectations that players didn't get. The goods he sold were always the same, but think about were he sold them: In Azsuna were the the goods he sold would seem exotic to the inhabitants. He's basically doing the old neutral auction house flip between horde and alliance just between expansions.
Oh man, I remember Anton as the first quest objective that confused the hell out of me when I was a new player. For one quest you had to buy some meat off of him and it was the first time for me that I encountered a quest where the marker would only mark a specific spot and not his path. I went there and killed everything for so long, thinking the quest was bugged and the NPC didn't exist. I even ended up skipping it for a long time. I never knew Anton would be casually walking miles away from the quest marker because he's a wandering merchant. It was that day that I learned to read quest text when confused by the objective.
Traveling NPCs in generaly are my favourites. Just a couple NPCs wandering the world does so much to make the world feel just that little bit more alive.
I used to make a lot of gold in BC by buying the snakes and with my hubby smuggling them through the neutral auction house to sell in the Alliance auction. Sold all the faction pets at the time.
@@KingChayle87 And here I was thinking this would lead into the most elaborate "deez nuts" joke known to mankind. I guess I'm too european to understand the reference here, what did he do to deserve the title of travelling NPC? :) Edit: Is it because he was travelling all over with his team but not participating? Thus quite literally being a non-player? 🤣
Great video as always! I wish you had included Aged Dalaran Wizard from Old Hillsbrad Foothills: he may be old and carries only one formula with him at a time, but the alpha human model is a sight to behold - also, he’s a wizard!
boletus edulis and morels are delicacies of the mushroom world, but to help your pronunciation and to put it in terms a WoW player will understand; it's "bow-leet-us" and "more-ell" as in "I can't take any more L's."
Always so many unique pointless things to discover. Thank you for another great vid! And boy, your wife has crazy luck. I am never able to find that last merchant.
1:12 speaking of other npcs who got subtly changed and no one noticed, aysa cloud singer has a different hairstyle than she’s supposed to and has for years at this point, at least since 2021, and i’m wondering if its ever gonna be fixed lol
Kinda surprised you didn't include the vendor within the Old Hillsbrad dungeon (I'm drawing a blank on his name, but he's a mage) when talking about Zixil who is also in the dungeon. Maybe that's for another top ten :D
Today's Fresh Baked Bread is next week's Tough Hunks of Bread. Love to see it. "That was 20 years ago when I was in high school. I'm old..." It gets worse Crendor... it gets MUCH worse. When *I* was in high school there wasn't even an Internet.
ngl I can't believe the guy in Old Hillsbrad didn't make the cut. You say "Wandering Merchant" and that is the one and only one I think of off the top of my head.
i finally finished a long period in my life, dealing with studies and what not, i came back to watch the channel and last time i did watch your videos "toasterwoman" was your girlfriend, so i want to say, Congratulations on your marriage!!!
I remember the meat vendor. Hunters in vanilla need meat or fruit etc depending on your hunter pet. You had to feed your pets to keep them happy and not running off !! Hunters bags had slots filled with fruit. Shamans with their regents, like mages, etc.. now our bags are filled the same stuff just different levels of the same stuff like cloth. Bag management has not really gotten much better. Lol 😆
... and you're reading off these vendor items (mushrooms and breads) like they're somehow unique or fascinating... when they're the exact same items that every classic/vanilla innkeeper sells for the same faction. You... really, really, REALLY went reaching for something to "Top 10" here this time, didn't you?
Toaster woman is clearly overqualified for her job
Toasterwoman being the camera crew of this show is a fun surprise lol
Yea, we learnt some new Crendor lore this day
I live and breathe for new Crendor videos. You make staying up till the early hours of the AM feel worth it. The treasure of my UA-cam feed
thanks ned flanders
I just imagined that pfp saying all that lol
Seth zentach is that u??

The mad merchant actually being in time truly insane time
damn so many of these wandering merchants are undead
is it like an MLM that recruits you when u die?
We need to get Christie Golden to write a short story on this.
I have a soft spot for Kira Songshine, the travelling bread and drink vendor between Stormwind and Goldshire.
I've sold junk to Antonio in all the zones he wanders, without realizing he's just one guy who visits all 4 zones.

I was thinking of the goblin in Desolace who sold some cooking recipes. He was a goldmine too back in the day.
love the toasterwoman lore we got this video
Huh, never knew Mystery Woman filmed your stuff, thats neat
Does Lil Timmy count as a traveling merchant? He travels Stormwind and sells his cat
He's not pointless though? I mean, he sells cats!
You answered yourself dude. Travels, sells.
If only top 10 was top 20, Lil Tommy could have been included.
Cat not for sale

The Loch Modan bread vendor also sells the Malevolent Pie for the Warlock Master Channeler rune in SoD.

I don't even play World of Warcraft, but the way you talk about things makes me wanna listen to ya. Keep saying those words my guy.
This is my first time seeing a pointless top 10. I'm now going to binge watch the whole playlist.

Pointless top 10, despite its pointlessness, is the most important series in existence

Come on Crendor, your wife has 10k gold in 2024. Step up.
Jorb selling the potions early leveling was always a must buy lol
So happy I’m up at 2:30 finishing homework, this is such a treat 💪😁

The Desolace traveling merchants were the best. Their goods changed for 10 minutes if you did the escort quest with them.
If Hamlen says the cave mold is delicious then I'll take him at his word
Crendor having a wife, for some reason, is just not something I expected. Never heard her mentioned. But good for him!
The "Fresh Pound of Flesh" Anton sells is actually for a quest. Just one though
Craggle is a happy dude just selling toys all day.
Dat's a Good Jorb, 'dere, Crendor!
All those mortal items that ghost guy carrying around is prob exotic for him cant believe people bullied him into changing his shops name
