You should always stay the same sweet, caring person you are. A big thing I've noticed from reading about history is how brutal people were. It is disturbing to learn about the cruel ways people found to inflict pain on each other. You find the best editions of books. I read A Christmas Carol every Christmas Eve so I don't think it's weird to only want to read it then.
