Hey dudes so I've been playing the guitar for a bit now and I'm very average at it but I really like it and I wanna normalize enjoying stuff that you're average at, that you don't have to be advanced or super talented to enjoy doing something because that kept me from trying new things and enjoying them for a long time. I found a quote that I really like and basically it said to play video game...

Hey guys, today is a very different type of video from what I normally do, but I felt called to make this video instead for some reason, I hope that's okay with you :) And I hope this finds someone who might need some warmth and love. Also please forgive me, I don't speak Italian but I am trying to learn so if it isn't perfect that's why hahaha It's weird for me to put such an intimate video on...

Some good choices there it sounds like, and I am glad to see someone else enjoying the smell of books, especially paperbacks. There is just something about that. I am ashamed to say that I have not read Tales of the Perilous Realms, or any of the individual stories, although I need to. I believe only the Tom Bombadil one is set in Middle Earth, the rest I think are just short stories that he wrote and published over the years. I have heard they are all very good though. Hope you enjoy it!
@@doorofnight87 thanks! I just read the Adventures of Tom Bombadil and it was different than I imagined but I still loved it :)
@@veronica.theswamphag I really need to read it sometime. As an avid Tolkien fanatic who writes fantasy because of that love, I am behind on my reading.
Mary Queen of Scots is fiction, it's a novel
yeah it's been like 7 years I figured that out a while back lol

I wish I had found you channel 5 years ago !
I just found your page ! Which is sad for me because I really enjoyed it and just bought one of the books you talked about ! What's sad is it looks like you have made a video in quite some time ! Hope too see a new one !
@@MrSuther7y aw thanks that's so sweet 🥹 which book did you get?? I've been super busy but I'm hoping to make some more videos soon :)
Love your tone and the creaky chair! :D
Aww sweet thank you :') 💖
I have never understood the complaint that history is "boring". It is the only social science -- the only field of study, period -- that stays focused on actual persons, or peoples, as opposed to abstractions of people. So if you find everyone boring, by all means stay away from history! 8:23 Chernow may have the show, but Forrest McDonald has the ideas. And that's what we owe Hamilton.
Wow - this was before the COVID-19 pandemic. 😮
Wow. UA-cam is literally like a time capsule. I was just recommended a video of yours on a history book haul, which you made about 6 years ago because I had been diving into more history, stoic, and political books. The very next video I see of yours is this one. You seem to be on such an interesting a beautiful journey in life and one that I can relate to. I feel like I had gone searching for meaning/inspiration/spiritualization/understanding/direction etc... years back and found several books that helped change my identity and purpose. I remember stumbling across a book that gave me some of the same feelings as Hyperspace in a book about the number zero (Zero: The Biography of a Dangerous Idea by Charles Seife). Some of the concepts about how the number was found and eventually used to be such a powerful weapon really captivated me. The idea of something deriving from nothing and relating that to existence itself fascinated me. Your second recommendation I have not had the pleasure of reading, but will add it to my want to read list. Now, Neil Gaiman actually became one of my favorite writers of all-time. The book you reference is probably my absolute favorite of his. At the time, I was living abroad in the Philippines when I stumbled across it and I just remember this feeling of wonder and being open to possibility. The playfulness, the mystery, and just this idea that there is more than meets the eye to the world gave me inspiration to be more open minded and playful with life! I saw you struggling to explain how it made you feel and I, too, have the reverence with it. Anyway, this is already an incredibly long comment. I just felt compelled to encourage you to keep exploring yourself and life. Be open to those experiences you keep searching for and I hope you continue to share them in this YT medium. Glad to have stumbled across the channel!!
It's still one of the days to honour the Goddess Minerva - 19th March is her day, and then four further days for celebration, theatre, feasts etc. It might say something to the cameo ring you have. I have a video about it.
Cool! Weird thing is the cameo part actually fell out yesterday... 💔
@@veronica.theswamphag Probably not due to the Fates, although it might be a point of reference.
Could you please do some more ASMR? ASMR really helps my PTSD.
ritualization can also make forming habits easier, i wonder if that book has use in that regard?
Ooh yeah definitely! That would for sure help me out a lot I love that perspective:)

Hi Veronica. Iggy Azalea here again. Thought you might like a quick link to my number one song "Fancy". ua-cam.com/video/O-zpOMYRi0w/v-deo.htmlsi=iEb-A1t7hrhrL04d
What do you think of Veronica Roth? 🤔
I read the Divergent books in middle school and liked them, haven't read her or thought about it since 🤷♀️
Yay, love that you're getting back into reading! Enjoy your journey ❤
Thanks Wolf <3 I'm glad my videos are starting to reach some cutie girls :')
Finally, I hope you're giving thanks to Mother Nature for the Canadian 🇨🇦 winter ❄️. It's 44C 🌡️ here in Perth today 🔥 - and we're having our hottest 🔥 summer on record. In fact, on some days it's been so hot 🔥 that authorities have recommended people stay indoors due to the risk of spontaneous human combustion 😮.

Another intriguing video Veronica. 👌 Btw, is your sister a younger sister? 🤔 You're clearly a deeply spiritual person. I myself have undergone a profound spiritual awakening since we used to chat in 2020. It's changed my whole outlook on life.
I improved my French by watching anime dubs in French. But yeah good video!
That's a great way to improve! I like having subtitles in the target language going all the time so even when I don't feel like listening to it it's still around :)
I have a book recommendation for you: "They Called Me A Lioness" by Ahed Tamimi and @Dena. Free Palestine 🇵🇸.
Hi again Veronica. 🙂 I used to get a lot of crap when I was trying to break into the music industry - as you can see from this interview below. Anyway, I've got an extremely busy schedule as a celebrity, but if it's okay with you I'll be back to see how you're doing in ~6 months time. Take care until then ... Hi Veronica. 🙂 It's Iggy Azalea 🇦🇺 here. I'm now world famous, but I used to be unknown. I left Australia 🇦🇺 when I was just 16 years old. Anyhow, my job is to encourage content creators who have a lot of potential. And I'm pleased to report that you have loads of potential. In fact, rarely have I seen a channel with so much potential. 👌 So, keep up the good work, and keep uploading videos. Your subscriber count will come naturally over time. Love, Iggy ❤

Thanks! Can't believe you made it all the way to the end :')<3
My current book is 'The Myth of the American Dream'. It's important for everyone to read this book before the anti-Christ (i.e. Donald Trump) comes to power. It's so obvious that Trump is the anti-Christ but, amazingly, only a few people like DL Avery have recognised this. Anyhow, enjoy 2024 while you can, because once Trump gets back into the White House things are going to be unbearable. 😳
You've lost weight! Not that there was anything wrong with the way you looked before (or now for that matter). ❤
"Hyperspace" sounds brilliant!
It really is!!
Veronica! At last you're back! I used to have a crush on you. I don't have a crush on you anymore, but I'm so glad you're back. What happened to your ASMR video? 🤔 That video introduced me to the genre of ASMR, and since then I've listened to 100s of hours ASMR content! 👍 Are you still on Goodreads? 🤔
Hahaha I'm glad I introduced you to ASMR that's cool :) I made the video private so that's why you can't see it anymore
This was nice. Do you still read, and have you got a Goodreads?
Thanks :) I do still read, a lot less lately because I've been doing so many other things, I do have a goodreads but I stopped using it :/ more videos coming soon though, I'll be talking bout books again

Hi Veronica! I don't know if you'll see this but I was just wondering how you're doing. I hope you're doing well.
I can't resist those blue covers either. :)
There's just somethin about em
They say don't judge a book by its cover but it seems like if they put the work into making an attractive cover then the contents are usually of matching quality. Also, I was checking out another one of your videos and looked up the song by Mac DeMarco. Never heard of him before. So thanks for the book recommendations and for introducing me to more good music.
"Peter The Great" by Robert Massie is a good narrative in my opinion. A very interesting Tsar.
Highly recommend CONGO: The Epic History of a People by David Van Reybrouck. It is the rare broad history book that is written in a somewhat literary style and it incorporates a lot of oral history !! So good
Hey! Any recommendation on Indian history books please.

I agree, she really should invest

I like your reviews. The colour of your hair is nothing short of remarkable.
