I think this version of Trought The Looking Glass show a new philosophy to the tale. In this version, The White Queen its not only the Good Queen, but seems to be a person who lose its colors, by being sad and guilty. The Red Queen, is the face of rage, but also Love in both intense versions. Even in her madness and rage of her sister, one single word make all go way, leaving only love again. Its a beautifull scene.
i don't know if i got permanently disfigured and mistreated my whole life because my sister was the favorite that i would have forgiven her. red queen is bigger than many of us.
What I really love and respect about the character of the Red Queen is the fact that she's not supposed to be a horrible character she's just a broken Soul that's been misunderstood and no one really accepted her the way she is and the fact that her family shunned her away because of her innocent little sister that's a lot taken you know and it breaks my heart to see this thing because the Red Queen deserves so much better
For those who thinks this scene is a little ridiculous and odd, then you seriously don't get the scene. It wasn't just about the tarts, it was also how their parents treat them on a scene how the mother would easily accuse Iracebeth, while Mirana just shut her mouth when she knows the truth. Also Iracebeth doesn't just hate Mirana for that, she hates her because of her one little lie it cause her literally head for it. She felt her life was always unfair, even her coronation she was treated like she's joke. Because of that she grew up bitter and full of anger in her heart (no pun intended) and became a tyrant, because no one was there to guide her or taught her what should or she shouldn't do. Same thing to Mad hatter and his father, speaking of Mad hatter he also has a fault to Iracebeth for he was the first person to laughed at Iracebeth, when her father was struggling to put the crown on her head. Honestly it was actually disrespectful for him to do that. If Mirana just told the truth maybe their parents would have disciplined them properly and avoid the accident, if Mad hatter didn't laughed maybe Iracebeth would've never ambush his family made him believe they died and probably been together much longer. In short things could've been different for Iracebeth/Queen of Hearts.

I love that small detail. Mirana always has this over the top Queen like behaviour. But it’s clearly an act. In the first movie when she reunites with Bayard she asks her staff to leave and when they all left she just drops the act and runs to him. And here she acts like that again. At 0:33 she walks like she floats and has her hand raised. But when she reaches her sister and thinks about what she did to her she drops her shoulders and the Queen attitude yet again. She only acts like herself when she’s around people she loves.
On the first episode i thought she is an evil queen who don't have a heart But after i saw the episode 2 my thoughts is changed because actually she is the kindest because she would forgive her sister after all the things that happened to her . Well the lesson of this movie is "It's never too late to apologize " And "Small lies can caused a big trouble "
She is the most vulnerable person in Underland, and that's why she gave up her innocence. It's so sad. No one tried to reach out to her and she became wicked. I love this scene, because it's the realisation that only one word of truth and empathy can heal the most angry person.
That why , when I watch the first one ( Alice in wonderland) in that part red queen take off that frog 🐸 head because he stolen 3 of her tarts and he lied about it
Personally, minus the fact that the Red Queen was so murderous, I didn't really hate her from the moment I saw her. There was something very "human" so to say about her, whereas the White Queen seeemd so "inhuman" that she made me feel strange even though she is on the side of "good" and the better and benevolent ruler. I think many people have a relationship like the WQ and RQ to be frank, and by that I mean the root of all "evil" comes from what is "good" more often than we realize. I am not excusing what the RQ did but that doesn't mean WQ is the ultmiate good either. Is she truly good of heart? Is she truly kind? Or is it just that she never had to be angry or mean? At the end of the day, both RQ and WQ were normal girls born into a royal family where the environment wasn't good for one and good for the other. One became damaged because if. One thrived because of it. Simple as that. RQ's crimes remains but nothing glorious about the WQ either. RQ is still that little girl in heart. She isn't innocent but she is pure like a child. She throws tanturms. She yells. She goes for the kill. Like child would do if they could. But because she is like a child, one apology was enough to make her smile again. WQ is also just a child in heart. She kept a pretty face like she was told do. She was good like she was told to. And she didn't apologize for that one mistake for years until things got bad. They're both just children in heart. Perhaps we all are too.
i'm so happy they gave iracebeth a real backstory and depth as a person. it's heartbreaking that after all her pain and trauma, she was able to forgive her sister so easily with just a single genuine apology. she's still going to be disfigured, she's still going to have traumatic brain injury, she's still going to be known as a crazy tyrant... but she's ok with carrying all those burdens bc her sister finally owned up, and bc her sister does love her. this scene was genuinely touching.
What's interesting is the fact that when Iracebeth says to Mirana, it's her fault, she showed only her head because even if she did bad things, that was the first that happened because of the lie
This scene breaks my heart in a million pieces, because i understand how the queen of hearts felt. I was so happy I watched the 2nd movie. This scene is amazing. It makes me cry all the time I even tried to find this video lol Red queen's emotional acting is so true.
When I watch this scene it reminds me of my own older sister. She who suffers from a mental illness blames others and in turn continues to hurt herself with the falling away of family. I wish I could have this heart to heart talk with her. But as they say, until you are willing to help yourself then nothing will happen. This scene brings tears to my eyes whenever I watch it. Helena plays her character so well.
And to think, all this horror, the wars, all the innocent people murdered, the evil reign, the feud and bloodlust never would've happened if Mirana just admitted to having a sweet tooth
@@yingyangkitty4091 I think it's more because despite Iracebeth's accident, Mirana didn't say it was her fault. I mean, she could say it was her fault just after the accident and I guess their parents would understand and punish her for what she did

Me at 1st movie: Red Queen is relentless, evil and cruel, White Queen doesn’t deserve a sister like her. Me at 2nd movie: She is actually broken because of a simple lie told by her sister. Not so pure now are we Mirana?
This scene from Alice Through the Looking Glass has a very positive, important and reflective message that identifies us at some point when we mock, humiliate, reject, abandon, and sometimes we lie to cover ourselves whether we are children or grown-ups. to people who were never what they were and who were because something or someone provoked it as a white lie. that all along it is filling you with anguish and it is sadly distancing you from your loved ones where one can have anguish and the other anger and hatred. as is the case of two sisters who grew up together but for a white lie without realizing it, one of them condemned the other as I said in everything I said above. and the other person does not have the right to be abused like that psychologically because you make the world do him a worse evil. she already had her curse, some have her salvation. but the red queen her giant head was her curse that ends up distancing her from everyone. for being different and only seeing the outside and not the inside that was the heart of that princess, almost queen. Yes, we all see the exterior more than the interior of the person we make feel bad about. The Red Queen only wanted to be loved, she was filled with hatred and anger because not only her own family rejected her but also the entire kingdom of Wonderland. where she felt to do that to get her attention, they exiled her. And the White Queen all those years must have been very difficult for her to overcome that, that's why he didn't visit her, it hurt to see her like that where she couldn't find words from her to watch her confess everything about her. In this scene where we see that they try to reconcile the red queen, it hurt a lot that her sister at that time did not tell the truth where she could see him avoided, she did not do it as a child, it is fine, but as a teenager or young adult, yes. but well here it seems that both of them open their hearts, the anguish of both of them is noticeable. So let's look at the exterior and the interior of a person, do not judge them as we see them, that sometimes they are not like that with that different capacity that the red queen never had that until the white lie happened and she decided to leave the palace feeling humiliated . We all deserve to be loved as we are, not as they want us to be. good scene two great actresses. always ask for forgiveness if we hurt someone so that both may be at peace and become family again.
Iracebeth (red queen) is really a miss judged person. i get that a lot of stuff she did was really bad but it all could have been avoided. She was not loved by her parents and really is an amazing character if you can see past everything.
all the red queen wanted was a sorry from her sister and the white queen acknowledging that its the white queen's fault. Sometimes, evil people arent really evil. Also this kinda same with Gamora and Nebula. Nebula all those times just wanted a sister and to Gamora to acknowledge Nebula winning atleast once. When Gamora finally treated Nebula like sister and said Nebula won, Nebula forgave Gamora and stop being evil.
Nobody is born bad. It's also interesting when Iracebeth says to Mirana, it's her fault, by showing her head for reminding her that everything began with that
The red queen just wanted an apology. On the day the white queen lied about not eating the tarts and put the blame on her sister, that was also the same day that she got in an accident. Her head began to swell horribly. And who knows what the young red queen had to experience at that time. She was still a child, but it was obvious that she faced ridicule and was mocked because of her big head. Honestly, i believe that the people kept on pushing her buttons which resulted into what she is now. Even on the day of her coronation. She was about to be crowned, but was once again mocked thus she bursted in anger and was about to say "Off with all you heads!". In the end, the king took away her rights to the throne as well believing that she was not fit for it.(i think that she wouldve fit for it if no one was making fun of her) And that's how we got the Red Queen today. I honestly feel sad for her. Everything couldve been alright if the White Queen had apologized earlier.
That is true even Iracebeth told her to speak up the truth to the entire crowd and she still refused to do so that kind of made me mad. So no wonder why She’s so tyrannical and psychotic towards her own kingdom in the first movie. At first I thought the red queen was allegedly the villain in the first movie but after seeing that very moment in the tart scene. My brain switched the red queen to the queen we all thought was the force of good, Mirana. She should have just told the truth and deal with whatever punishment she would probably have gotten. But no put the blame on innocent Iracebeth and make her take the downfall literally. If I were Iracebeth in this scene I would want far more then just a simple apology.
to be honest Red queen is kind , her storyline portray the unfairness between one mother to their daughter could destroy the children If her mother could listen to her explanation , she will not act in such cruel way , but is actually common for all families , there will always be unequal love among it
I saw a comment once that someone wished her had had shrunken down in size after she forgave her sister. But I know it takes a lot more than just forgiving. She grew up with so much happening to her and it will take more time to move forward and maybe over time, her head would return to its normal size gradually. Forgiveness doesn’t happen overnight. It takes a long time to finally let go of the times that you’ve been hurt the most and start moving forward to make something better for yourself. That’s why her head didn’t shrink right away. She’s still struggling to let go of the pain.

What a beautiful, heartwarming moment. I'm such a big fan of these movies and I'm so glad they made up. The Red Queen did make a good villain though 😂 I hope they make a third movie. Also, RIP Alan Rickman
I was so happy I watched the 2nd movie. This scene is amazing. It makes me cry all the time I even tried to find this video lol Red queen's emotional acting is so true.
Aww...This is the sweetest sister redemption and reunion
The Red Queen was never evil. She just wanted to hear her sister reveal the truth.
Pls, her acting its so amazing. She did well on this
I LOVE you Red Queen 😇You are sooo cute.😁
What are you even on
When I watch this scene it reminds me of my own older sister.
Omg same!
red queen: "Thats all i wanted to here"
me:WAIT WHAT!!!!!!!
This scene proves that no one is born evil.
And to think, all this horror, the wars, all the innocent people murdered, the evil reign, the feud and bloodlust never would've happened if Mirana just admitted to having a sweet tooth
Yeah or the mom not making a huge deal about 1 tart
@@yingyangkitty4091 I think it's more because despite Iracebeth's accident, Mirana didn't say it was her fault.
I mean, she could say it was her fault just after the accident and I guess their parents would understand and punish her for what she did
@@a.g.demada5263 yeah there was a lot of fault and it was wrong of Mirana to lie and keep it up all those years
@@yingyangkitty4091 yes exactly. All the siblings have that kind of arguments but even if Mirana didn't think it would be so bad, her parents would understand if she said she was just afraid to admit she disobeyed (she was just a child after all)
@@a.g.demada5263 yeah but instead she stayed quiet as Iracabeth slowly went crazy with loneliness
AWW 🥰 this is how everyone has to be nowadays siblings loving each other and caring for each other
(fighting is not the answer)
Really touching this beautiful video and the happy ending with the hugs
I love a happy ending, they are so rare.
At least they finally got along
"I'm so sorry"
"that's all I wanna hear"
Me at 1st movie: Red Queen is relentless, evil and cruel, White Queen doesn’t deserve a sister like her.
Me at 2nd movie: She is actually broken because of a simple lie told by her sister. Not so pure now are we Mirana?
What a beautiful scene😭😭
I feel so bad for the red queen
We can see a vulnerable part of her in the first movie when she's on her balcony and speak about how her sister is loved
all the red queen wanted was a sorry from her sister and the white queen acknowledging that its the white queen's fault.
It's also interesting when Iracebeth says to Mirana, it's her fault, by showing her head for reminding her that everything began with that
Helena Bonham Carter is the best . Hands down . That's all I ever wanted to hear ❤️
I cried at this...
a bit of humility goes a long way
I love red Queen. Misunderstood, mostly mischievous I love her and white queens lore.
Artists retouched the red queen well. In my opinion, this is a high-quality character processing.
It's so heartbreaking when Iracebeth shows her head to Mirana saying it's her fault
I love this scene, but one question... Why did you cut out the part where Tarrant and Mirana actually talk to each other? That was so darn cute!
who knew by someone eating a tart and lying about it could ruin someone’s head and life
The red queen just wanted an apology. In the end, the king took away her rights to the throne as well believing that she was not fit for it.(i think that she wouldve fit for it if no one was making fun of her)
And that's how we got the Red Queen today.
If I were Iracebeth in this scene I would want far more then just a simple apology.
the fact that anne hathaway face hasn't change at all, scares me. She doesn't age
This scene made me cry when I first watched it
Now I'm scared of tarts.
The moment when Queen of Hearts showed her heart ❤😭
Yes, it's so heartbreacking 😢 because it's really her fault if her head is like that.
I love the queen of hearts she is my favorite
I appreciate how everyone loves the Red Queen but I also notice how the White Queen said "I won't leave you" before this is so wholesome
WQ: "If it's not too late..."
RQ: "IT IS TOO LATE!!!! MOTHER'S DEAD AND SHE'LL NEVER KNOW THE TRUTH"
Just because their mother died doesn't mean she wouldn't have known the truth.
The both queen are enemies but the white queen never stop loving her own sister
It’s queen of heartsss
So cuuuuute🥺🥺✨
This is so wonderful scenes 😍
I was in tears of joy. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing God gave us. And even the Queen of Hearts forgave. Loved this scene so much.
Shes not queen of hearts. She is red queen
@@SamWinchesterr same thing actually.
@@masterseekerv6907 well, in the book, they're two different characters but in the movies, they're two in one
@@a.g.demada5263 oh, ok, that makes sense.
I think I get it now: 2 separate books, writers, and worlds.
The Red Queen was just misunderstood. She's actually a pretty nice person. Just misunderstood.
The queen of hearts
Thats all she wanted to hear. That made me so sad!!! Like she just wanted her sister to say she did it!!!
White queen: * hugs Red queen *
Red queen: “ Get off of me “!
The Best scene ever ❤️❤️
to be honest
Red queen is kind , her storyline portray the unfairness between one mother to their daughter could destroy the children
If her mother could listen to her explanation , she will not act in such cruel way , but is actually common for all families , there will always be unequal love among it
It's also common for the parents to believe the young one because the eldest is supposed to be more mature.
i really love the actors💖
I saw a comment once that someone wished her had had shrunken down in size after she forgave her sister. But I know it takes a lot more than just forgiving. She grew up with so much happening to her and it will take more time to move forward and maybe over time, her head would return to its normal size gradually. Forgiveness doesn’t happen overnight. It takes a long time to finally let go of the times that you’ve been hurt the most and start moving forward to make something better for yourself. That’s why her head didn’t shrink right away. She’s still struggling to let go of the pain.
Never lie about tarts guys and gals
"why does no one love me" I love you and most of the people do and mostly your sister
Wonderful little sister! When she realized that nothing would happen to her for this, she told the truth. Bravo!
Sisters once again ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm crying this is so whole some
