I have added my hooch to my compost bucket (just before taking it out to the compost bin). Name for a starter... "Doughboy". I have more than one starter so one of mine is Doughboy... LOL! Hope you are staying warm. Blessings on your beautiful family Kiddo!🌿💚👵
We didnt ever get much for snow but it seemed as if on snow days we did a lot of fan folded paper angels; to keep us busy maybe? They worked across multiple ages depending upon the width and number of fan folds. If we were snowed in fir multiple days or across a week-end, we extended to putting fan folded paper between shapes et all and a base paper to create 3D art objects. Or, fan folded appendages with a hand, foot, or other at the end. This involved time using experimenting with strip width, the fan folds, and more to see what worked
Sounds like fun... it's as hot as here in Australia.. around 104, and a thunderstorm trying to make something happen.. but this is nearly each day..no rain.. no releif... Glad you are safe and animals are doing good
@TealHouseFarm our summer goes to around April, from October.. hot.. but yes, need rain, full days of it to cool the air.. enjoy your snow.. children must be loving it..
Snow in Sw Va.too but only got down to 10. Some of our chickens think they are penguins and love the snow but the rest seem scared of it. Glad you got plenty of wood.
Glad to hear your water didn't freeze and that you didn't lose power. So far, where i live in Wisconsin, we haven't had much snow. We've been cold, but hardly any snow. The chickens, ducks, and geese that we usually take care of have heated water buckets. Duck would lay their eggs in the buckets.
Waiting on Friday snow. Would love to see some but not too much. Power is usually a problem during rain and snowstorms ( snow we hardly ever get) here. Thankfully we have that pretty well covered as far as preps go.
I’ve had the whole week off of school so far and it’s been February for putting away Christmas cleaning up and I did get our pantry organized on the pantry challenge!!

That was really nice of your neighbor. It looked like the kiddos had a good time sledding.
It was really nice of him!

Yay for time off!
Milton, Wendel or Homer 😊
I vote for pouring off the hooch. It's mostly waste products and will only inhibit the yeast growth.
Yea…plus it just looks gross lol
