- I AM OFFICIALLY AFRAID - Like what is love town, what is library of ruina about?! well today we take a listen to some mili songs from this game and try to find out. Also we try to make a decision if this is gonna be a game I play! I am scared. Don't forget if you enjoy the video to like and subscribe! P.S. There was a cannibal chef Ryoshu and sous-chef Gregor in the first season of Limbus. They will appear in egoshard store in mid-december.

It hits you with the chills and the sudden realization that the lyrics was not being metaphorical
I saw a resume of love town and I don't think I ever felt so physically disgusted while listening to a pleasant melody. I sometimes listen to silent hill tracks because I find them pleasing yet I just had the face of biting a lemon the entire time I was reading the lyrics.
How can i explain Love Town to someone that hasn't experienced it... It's actually really simple, i'm not gonna explain it and i'll leave it as "You do not talk about Love Town". It's something that needs to be experienced to be understood, and simply telling you what it is will rob you of the experience

To put it simply, Love Town is a big moment. We do not talk about it because talking about it any further than saying that it is not to be talked about would spoil that moment.
It is also one of three major points that the community has generally agreed forms Ruina's big difficulty spike, and all I will say on that is that the spike can be softened if you do what people typically go to real libraries to do - that being to read and to comprehend it.
As for String Theocracy, there is a shortened version on the Project Moon UA-cam channel - that version plays every time you launch the game, and I recommend letting it play out at least the first few times you load up the game, because it's a good opening! You should listen to it!
Love Town isn't nearly as much a vertical spike as it used to be. Back when the game was in beta, Love Town's receptions were the end of the game. This was before passive attribution and back when key pages could be leveled up by grinding copies to burn them for experience, so reaching the power we have access to during the Love Town receptions now was quite literally impossible.
It's certainly still a difficulty spike, but nowhere near as bad as certain other ones, like Queen of Hatred and just about anything in SotC.
Honestly, the fire bird dude to the left of Love Town was more of a difficulty spike. The enemies before his boss fight were more of a challenge than love towns act 1 enemies. God help you if you had a librarian with very bad pierce/slash resist cuz theres a lotta damage 9f that type.
Oh, and the damn burn damage in act 2. Fucking finishes all low hp dudes even when all attacks get blocked. Pray that you stagger the bastard

The reason why I immune is because head empty and I have lost my sense of tpmd so the wynp tdajm wouldn't effect me the ceseless flow wouldn't affect me because I am just a rock that flouts to the top of the river going with the flow instead of trying to withstand the erosion I would sleep in a safe comfy place and wake up once it is over

Your reactions to the lyrics represent the feelings from the Love Town story perfectly. Starting at the "curious, but mildly concerned" and going only up
On the side note, the lyrics also dig deeper into Tommy being the reluctant party. Both in relationship with Marry and... other thing
The fact it is “Mildly concerning” when listening to the song alone. But when hearing it in the game, oh god it got 10x more disturbing.

On another note, I never got to Love Town in the game but watched a VOD for it, and I am all for "we do not talk about Love Town" tbh.

Love town is something you can't really experience with just the song, it's geuinely one of the best pieces of sci-fi horror i've ever seen and you really need the story scenes prior to really get it.
Library of Ruina is placed immediently after the fall of Lobotomy Corporation in the canon ending of the first game.
It explores the assistant AI character from that game, which disrupted that fall, making it all for nothing.
She, and the players, never actually seen The City, so it also tackles whether the world is actually worth living in, why she had done this, and how to cope with it.
Over all, a very phylosophical expiriance.

@@the8bitclicker_193 Sadly, I think playing Lob Corp is better for an understanding of Ruina, so she will miss quite a bit. I haven't found a single summary video good enough to replace a playthrough and the difference becomes very obvious in the different ways players react to plot points whether they played Lob Corp or Ruina first. Ruina's own view of the plot of Lob Corp is mostly from Angela's perspective which obviously colours all of it.
I love how she enjoy the Love Town for earlier part, and scared on the last part😂😂

2:44 Just a note, don't really pay that close attention to image used for Mili songs, as far as I've seen none of the images they use for the background of their videos have any actual connection to the game/anime/whatever that the song is made for. So no, the doll on strings shown in that image is not a Library of Ruina character, it could be a reference to one of the main characters of the game who is an AI that was forced to follow a script in the first game (Lobotomy Corporation), but aside from indirect references the image isn't actually directly reflective of Ruina.
8:50 To be fair, that was just natural operation of Lobotomy Corp, that wasn't a secret or anything to the employees. Also the city being an absolute hell hole is not even remotely a secret, everyone knows it's a hellish dystopia and that there is nothing good without strings attached.
Unless you live in the outskirts. People there are more likely to die than the poorest homeless man on the backstreets. They view the city as place that’s devoid of the “monsters” which are 100% not human as shown in Limbus compared to abnos and distortions which are still in a sense born from humans.
Since it seems that Lob Corp isn't the most optimal to play, but you're considering Ruina, I'd like to suggest at least watching the story/visual novel segments of Lob Corp that have been uploaded on YT since Ruina just jumps straight after the true ending of the first game
@@LTDLetsPlays yeah, watching the story segments uploaded is way better than the recaps I've seen on YT. A's side of things often doesn't get the nuances shone that it deserves. I've seen a dude on YT watch one Lob Corp recap since he couldn't be bothered to play it and saw A as the generic big bad because of it-

You can try watching the opening trailer of Library of Ruina, since it does show a bit of the game's theme without being spoilery. What I love about Mili's songs in Project Moon games is that taken out of context the lyrics feel like philosophical questions and ponderings wrapped up in beautiful music, but taken in context of the story they're actually quite literal in their descriptions. And Love Town and Children of the City are very good examples of this. I hope you do react to the rest of Mili's Project Moon songs, like Children of the City, Gone Angels, and the newly released Fly, My Wings (which is the latest in Limbus Company).

@@Zack_Zander Yes, but it also has visuals directly related to the game. The pictures Mili use in their tracks, while thematic to the song, aren't part of Project Moon lore.

That true, although I think it is so it doesn’t spoil the theme of the game. Especially when the intro song likely came after the game released like Limbus Company’s intro song.
Mili songs on Mili's own channel do not use art from the games, the art is just based on lyrics of the song (or is mostly random on some songs)
Fun fact about string therocracy is their 1st jazz music they ever done as for most of Mili music in project moon games they always hit the right spot and for String therocracy I think that music is about Angela(should recomend to see the opening video).
As for Love town is one of the thing we don't talk about.
Also dont worry about the carnibal thing just don't go to distric 23 for those meat pie.
One thing to remember is that the graphics for Mili's songs are not necessarily representative of the content of the game!

anyway limbus already spoil an id about district 23. it's not related to love town but yeah many character is from district 23.

Addendum: The City is literally Hell, according to Limbus and common sense, of fucking corse we have a whole conga-line of suffering and depression.
That and Clockwork Orange is a Dystopian novel about a world ruled by violence, similar to the City.

I think that the suggestion you made in one of the streams of finishing Limbus till where it stands, and then going for LoR is a good one tbh; it is basically what I am doing myself lol (after being unable to finish LC because of time n so looking up the story on YT)

Cannibal place is a early-game material. In the mid-game it's already not enough to shock players. And in the late, late game when a certain chief appears, her talkings on how to best cook a person is pretty much seems like a casual talk.

Mili makes such good songs, i suggest i love the witch series of songs they made my favorite being a threeway tie between, Galahad and the Witch, Summoning 101 and Muschrooms(god this song is so good).
Wouls be cool to see your reaction to Paper bouquet song by Mili(my favourite song ever i think), it was opening song for Executioner and her way of life as well.
I remember reading somewhere String Theocracy is Mili's first attempt at Jazz-like music. And I must say they absolutely nailed it.

So fun fact for the various people here in this comment's replies:
As the creator of the workshop version of NoGrind, I do not use it. I made it due to popular demand since I can understand the books mechanic can be frustrating to some people who are either worse at the game, have less patience, or don't have the time.
I personally don't find the game to be too grindy, and it encourages one or two replays, and it helps encourage you to think of better strategies and helps reduce the possibility of it just having been a miracle victory.
But for a lot of people, particularly streamers, the mechanic is far too grindy and/or time consuming, and I can perfectly understand that and feel it's perfectly acceptable to feel that way. Also it's a single player game, enjoyment is subjective and you don't need to worry about what others think.
I love String theocracy but i think with intro cut scene (opening) it would be more interesting or just Library of Ruina Official Launch Trailer. And if we talk about Lobotomy corp. kinda most heart warming think is Lobotomy corporation Ayin Day 50. But hat is kinda spoiler but is really awesome animation from project moon.

@@shifan9085(spoilers for Leviathan's first chapter) considering Tomerry was wrecking havoc yet not as much as something as The Pianist (stated to be WAW), Love Town is probably around the levels of TETH or HE at most, imo it's TETH since the amount of destruction of the Bull and Tomerry is quite similar.

So I gotta ask... have you read Wonder Lab yet? The webcomic that is set partially concurrently with Lobotomy Corporation, the first game in the world of Limbus Co/Library of Ruina? It's obviously a bit derivative since it's literally a derivative work, but it's quite a mood if you wanted to know more about the world.
When you played one of PM's game and you wanted to dig deeper into the lore. You will slowly being pulled back to previous games and your mind will slowly rotting away.

Love Town was the first bits of lore I knew about this game, heck, I still don't play it and this is the only lore I know of besides the stuff from Lobotomy Company. It is extremely horrific what happens, and if the quality of the story is just as horrific as Love Town, props to the writers for consistent fucked up moments.

Since you don't have time I would recommend you get the "NoGrind" mod.
Since there's a gacha mechanic where it encourages you to kill the same enemy multiple times to get better key pages(identities) and attacks.
Every time I see my mod mentioned, I get more and more glad that I made it.
I may not use it personally, but I'm glad it makes the experience better for others, and makes the game more streamer friendly.
I will say Lobotomy Corp. is a bit imperative to understanding Library of Ruinas story. I get the gameplay not being everyones cup of tea especially since it can get quite challenging but I would at the bare minimum recommend either watching a cutscene compilation or a lore video beforehand before immediately hopping into Ruina

whilst i understand you might not want to play lobcorp - it is a very hard game - i suggest watching the cutscenes instead. it gives a lot of context for ruina, aka all but one of the main cast.
