I went from using blower to now a combination of blower and towel. I also dont use drying aid as it kills my towels. If i apply topper it is with a separate towel.
If you use drying aid on towels, leave towels in bucket with microfiber cleaner of choice overnight, then wash after.

I recommend 'The Rag Company Gauntlet 20x30'. Two of those towels will dry a car (streak-free) in about 4 minutes. (The smaller size is good for windows. They have a larger size too but I think the 20x30 would air-dry faster and be easier to launder).

In my opinion, the only time you should be using a blower off the bulk of a car (forcing it out of cracks crevices is fine when needed) is if you have a DI or RO water system to do the final rinse, otherwise you are drying a small amount of minerals into the paint/coating which can clog the coating and dull the finish over time.
I'm also a big fan of using rinseless washes as a drying aid (even if you do a soap wash). It provides plenty of lubrication and will not clog up your drying towels (as long as you're using something without protection like ONR, DIY Detail, P&S Absolute, etc). It has the added benefit of preventing water spots that form if you're working in direct sunlight on a hot day and the water is drying on the surface before you can get to it.

Great methods buy a few things to think about. Don't use the same towel on 2 different cars. Just in case you picked something up on one, you don't risk another car. The small 8x8 Amphibian or 12x12 Gauntlet work great for rins. Last, some car wash soaps, like DIY rinseless clean so good that the drying towels literally grab the surface. You almost need a drying aid to help the towel move.

Correct, filtered air on a leaf blower means nothing because as soon as the "filtered" air leaves the tip it then becomes one with the surrounding air and becomes unfiltered...

If u don’t already have this please go out and get it ASAP!!! P&S Bead Maker is a must have, hard not to get water spots even when u dry fast, best way for it to be used out of the sun but if ur not able to then just use it as a drying aid works wonders, I recommend completely drying it first then apply drying aid
