Thank you OZCO After this video I did further research and found that this product was perfect for my property. Getting parts through Lowes and directly from the company I did a new fence run using 2 3/8" round post spikes and upper wood fencing. The speed of putting this fence up was amazing and in comparison to typical fencing I'm sold on this method of fencing.
There’s a fence builder in my area that uses these. The plus is they can build a fence in one day, complete. But they are never straight. I live in central Texas and it’s pretty much rock and clay. I plan to build a fence but I’m using goat panels. It’s cheaper then a wood fence and they come in 10’ 12’ and 16’ panels
We are familiar and aware of this issue, our method combats this with ease. We are a local Houston manufacture of ground screws. Check us out! mmgroundscrew.com
Last thing should I treat the bottom 6" of post with a sealant before installing in the cup? And should I apply a bead of sealant around the top of the cup to prevent moisture from running down into the cup keeping the post moist longer
I just bought some of these and I want to know how deep the base can go into the ground. I realize it's designed to go to the bottom of the cup that holds the post but if it won't cause issues down the line if I can go deeper where the cup is down under the surface several inches it will keep me from having to rack my fence panels. I think I'll be able to run the fence tops level until the last two panels that will have to be stepped down
Also to add, digging below the frost line prevents frost from lifting with concrete. Adding a 6 inch bed of gravel in your sona tube before pouring concrete creates the drainage as well....just sayin'
Looks like a cool product. Would be nice to see the galvanized metal post method as well since I would assume that rod with a square end would not fit well and that is the method I'm looking for. He did mention glue but not what type they recommend and if there is a different glue type for the metal fence posts. Anyone else have that info?
I would need 6 post send to Logan qld. Suitable for a smaller patio with shade cloth. The post size would be 10 x 10cm or 7.5 x 12cm. How much would be the products and delivery?
What size and type screws do you recommend to screw in at the bottom of the 4X4 and how many are needed per post? I am going to try these for my fence and I want to make sure I get it right the first time.
@@twobluestripes I used Galvanized lag bolts and Decking screws and these are by far one of the best purchases I ever made. I would defiantly rent a jackhammer and buy the attachment available to install these and it will make your life much easier. My fence is still standing strong through hot summers and freezing Northeast winters 7 years strong now.
Sweeeeeeet. I have an outdoor patio roof structure to build. I need to get the 6*6 posts as close to the house as possible. Totally do not want to use a two man auger and the have to pour concrete. This could save me so much time!
I dont get what his point was when he pushed over the post. The ground around the post is different than it standing on top of the ground by itself. We have high winds in Louisiana. The wind force is on the 4 inches of that bracket on top of the ground vs the 2 foot of concrete and earth around it. Seems like the physics are a bit off with this product
kit DOES NOT fit all hammers with 1-1/8inch shafts... key way for this kit is on a peak of the hex shaft, ours uses key way on a flat of a shaft and has a 2 inch cylindrical feed into hammer... this kit is full hex shaft at feed... Just figured that out finally getting around to the fence 3 months after purchase!!!
Did I hear that right 3:18when installed correctly its the same as concrete 6" to 8" hole, good thing when building a fence you put 24" of concrete, and you don't put concrete around the post and leave it standing on top of the ground
I'll have try them. But I'm not sure what you were trying to prove, when you pushed over the post with a concrete base? It proves nothing, it was not sunken into the ground. Your post system would tip ovet easier if you did it the samw way. You should take that part out it proves nothing. It just looks stupid. But I will try them out.
Alfred Abbey I had to rewind that part myself. I believe he states that the post’s strength/stability in the ground is equivalent to a 6 to 8 inch diameter hole filled with concrete.
Yes, we have deck attachments that work great (OZ-DECK) and you could use our hardware in a variety of ways to build all types of structures. www.ozcobp.com

Man I bought a dozen of these a few years ago for just.over twenty dollars. Now one costs more than I paid for the dozen! Lmao no way will I be buying your product again
Unfortunately you can not find them at a decent price and they are not at Home Depot or Lowes and when I went on Lowes they had them on their web site but they were out of stock even over their web site and I had to send Lowes my email address so that when they have a supply they would be able to contact me. At this point I hope they don't raise their price to some crazy price.
Great idea you have there, but it's cost prohibitive. I can rent an auger for a weekend and pour concrete for $2500 less. Thats enough money saved to buy a big screen tv and a ps3. Find a way to bring the costs down to less than $5 each, and I believe these will really take off.
Tip---I dig a small hole about 8 inches deep and 12 inches diameter I then fill the hole with dry post concrete and drive a metapost in the correct position within the hole. After to.this I add water to the surface of the concrete and allow it to set. This provides a solid cap and helps preventing any side movement of the post.
Sounds like you have a lot of posts to install! At an average retail price of $15.99 and your savings of $2500 = 156 posts. If you are doing that type of volume you should contact one of our distributors for a volume discount. You may be surprised!
I love this idea... but i agree with the cost, needs to come down to be practical. i think like the design of the Skru-Tyte ones better. but again , at $150 a piece they are not practical either.. I am installing a 4 foot chainlink fence that is 115 feet long. 15 posts, all parts, quikcrete, all for under $700
does cement one is still 10 times stronger than the metal post for the Frost to penetrate a foot and a half Underground it would have to be - 70 order if you're putting a small fence up like a 3 foot 1 or 4 foot 1 like a picket fence those metal post would be brilliant otherwise big heavy six foot fence no good
Where are you finding $150 each? The heavy duty 4x4's I'm seeing are about $30. The only thing I see that high is the 10x10 post base that attached to concrete for patios
it was the jackhammer: Here, "jaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajaggajagga"

I would suspect these would be a challenge to drive into the ground where there would be stones and other obstacles to contend with.
I ended up digging a hole and concrete the oz post. My ground is rocky and while trying to drive the oz post in, it bent and went sideways.
Figure it out. It's basically common sense 😂
I will use it. To build my shed. Awesome.
Last thing should I treat the bottom 6" of post with a sealant before installing in the cup? And should I apply a bead of sealant around the top of the cup to prevent moisture from running down into the cup keeping the post moist longer
What if I have a pre-existing fence and holes? How will that set?

Wooden posts rot
Had I waited long enough you'd have answered my question wo me asking.
I'm trying to use a 4x4 that is 12 ft tall to hang patio lights. Would this work?
How strong would it be a 4x4 anchor spike to hold a 4x4post ..plus head spike/post would be cemented 12"deep 12" diamter
I can see anyone will have issues plumbing the posts after. You'll never get it perfect.
Brilliant!

Can you install these posts with concrete?
I have to of the 4x4 oz post will they hold up 2 8 foot 4x4s for a swing?

I think it was just a joke...
What happens when you hit a rock?
“So oz post when it’s in the ground provides the same strength as a 6 to 8 inch post in the ground with concrete as it does with oz post”. Huh?
Alfred Abbey I had to rewind that part myself. I believe he states that the post’s strength/stability in the ground is equivalent to a 6 to 8 inch diameter hole filled with concrete.
that part confused me
No you heard him right it will only be as strong as a 6-8" deep hole
So... we should wear hearing protection when using a Jackhammer, but it's not necessary when using a sledgehammer on metal?
Hey I just love this! Is it possible for the OzPost can be used to build decks, or playsets, chicken coops, etc??
Yes, we have deck attachments that work great (OZ-DECK) and you could use our hardware in a variety of ways to build all types of structures. www.ozcobp.com
More importantly, does it meet code?
Morse code ?
We 've had MetPosts (same thing) in the Uk for years, we just don't use a jackhammer.
Cos us Brits are tuff or stubborn, (take ur choice)
Inefficient
Tough 💪
Can I get one of these in the UK? Please let me know how, thx
Where are your 4 foot post anchors for frost line? those look like they are about 32".

$22 each at HD and lowes, too much in comparison to quick set
Phil Whitmer lol exposed
@@tramaynethomas3960 Well, the comment was from 8 years ago....
Nice product. Price is a setback though.
Where can I buy them?
Hello, what is the easiest way to pull these from the ground without damaging them? I need to reroute a fence.
Derrick Stinoski just reverse the process, get underneath the bottom of the post and hold the jackhammer inverted and drive the post out:-)
how did you end up getting it out?
Yea but the cost i can mout a whole building for the price of two of those not good
