is there something one can do to the turbo housing and internal parts to derust them that wont cause damage? I got an engine w/ turbo that had coolant issue or something and water sat in it for a while. want to rebuild turbo before swapping it to my engine.... but its sorta grindy when you spin the turbine.
are all turbos about the same inside? i just bought an 03 Audi A4 and supposedly it needs a turbo. the guy said it burned oil, I'm not seeing it burn anything. it doesn't really have shaft play ether. a little side to side, but not much at all. I'm new to turbos. haha
You can put those piston rings on without any tools much easier and less chances of stretching the ring

burnt 650r is the charge pipes have a lot of oil in them
no. charge pipes are clean and the compressor wheel is clean
Probably a different issue, if it is not burning oil then no worries
