So, I tried out the Tymo Ring Plus hair straightening comb. This took hot comb to a whole new level! It did not disappoint, I was shook at the styling I achieved with just this tool alone. I've since washed my hair and there was absolutely no heat damage, I'm so happy about that. I recommend, it gave my hair so much shape and body! My only con is that I would probably need to bump it up to 410 degrees in order to perfectly smooth out the ends, and I just wasn't willing to go that high.

The Tymo is the TRUTH. It is better than flat irons if you ask me. Plus it takes less time than flat irons. I LOVE MINE!! My hair is so thick and I didnt think anything could get my hair bone straight and low and behold this does 🥰

I just used the tymo, and it did straighten my hair. However, it still looks frizzy at the ends. I had it on the lowest setting because I have thin hair. My daughter has thicker hair, and her hair looks way better than mine 😂😂

To get the ends straightened better hold it at the end for a bit longer. That worked for me and I have your hair type

yea u kinda gotta pull and create a bend at the end to make the ends smooth.
I use the glove that comes with it. My ends get straight
the vavavoom is how the ends get straight. i find that i usually have to bump the end...and then if i want bone straight hair i have to wrap it (but i dont really wrap my hair so i never do that i pin curl it). i love this brush. way better than a flat iron and i prefer the texture it creates to bone straight hair. i also think its way quicker than flat ironing bc you can do larger amounts of hair.

You should! I used the tiniest amount of the heat protectant and I added Olaplex No. 7 later. I love it though, the body is something I haven’t been able to achieve with my flat iron.

Can someone please explain how to lock 🔐 the temperature as it is too easy to change temperature when in the middle of straightening. I have checked the instructions and can not see any mention. As you are promoting this item, it would be helpful.

Hi Dylan! No you would not get burned, it had sort of like guards so if it touches your scalp you won’t feel the hot plates! Hope this helps!

I have watched several videos of this product being used and why did all the ladies blow-dry their hair straight already? I am really interested in seeing the product used on hair that has not been completely blown dry straight already.
Well typically, when I flat iron my hair, I always blow dry it first-similar to how a stylist would do it. It’s actually a great tip for an overall sleeker smoother result compared to going from curly to straightening. I don’t think it would turn out as smooth if the hair was natural, but if you wanna see it just for kicks, let me know! Lol.

Tymo is good bur does not last. I bought 2 on a separate occasion and they both stopped working within one year of purchase.

I was legitimately looking at one of these at Target today when I bought a bunch of natural hair products like Camille Rose honey leaving the intention of big chopping this weekend. I am still trying to decide if I'm going to big chop or transition for 6 months to a year before cutting off the relaxed ends. How does it do on transitioning hair I'm currently relaxed, and my last relaxer was about 4 or 5 months ago, so the texture of my relaxed hair is poofy and the texture of my roots is naturally curly and a little gray. My thumbnail picture is like 15 years old and a old wig that I used to love so much. I actually got more compliments on the curly wig than I ever got on my relaxed hair especially from my stylist girlfriends . Anyway , I wonder how well it works for transitioning hair, and if it could cause breakage or anything , my natural hair is like a type 3B if you go by hair typing. I have a medical condition and I do not want to continue to relax my hair, in the past year or two I've been doing it out of desperation but I'm done. I'm not looking forward to long-term transitioning but I look forward to having my own curly hair back. I'm a wash and go kind of girl I don't like braiding or twisting or parting my hair perfectly even though I know how to, I literally just want to be able to wear my hair curly or straight whenever I want without going to my stylist who is from the Dominican Republic . I would love to have long hair and my mom has waist length locks. I just want to take care of my hair myself and not spend a small fortune at the stylist as I have been doing since I was in my twenties and now I'm in my 40s about to be in my 50s. Thank you for bringing this review I might just buy one this weekend, I'm excited. I'm a new subscriber as well!
Welcome to the fam! I know transitioning can be hard to do! To cut or not to cut! You could transition to a certain point and then chop it once it’s long enough to make a pony tail or something like that.
I would say the Tymo probably works similarly on relaxed hair as a flatiron would, just with less tension. You still wanna avoid too much heat. I recommended styling once, and trying to maintain the style without heat for as long as possible. I’m a little late responding so let me know what you decided! Either way, this journey can be fun and exciting even though it’s challenging! Blessings! 💕✨
