- Let Nature do the talking! Natural sounds like rain and thunder have a calming effect on many people. Coupling this with a visual of greenery really brings the whole experience to another level, creating a sense of well-being and relaxation. In addition, the sounds of birds, like the calls of loons in this video, create a more peaceful vibe.
Furthermore, did you know that storms can be good for anxiety? It helps by switching our brains off because as humans we are always searching for sound.
This is an easy 16 mins to do before bed or after a hard day! You can also use it for meditation any time of the day. I wish you all a very peaceful day/evening/night and a restful sleep.

Maybe you are running out of topics? How about do a video about unusual, deformed beaks. I have a feeder right on my window for small birds to avoid the big competition at the other feeder. Anyway, a new bird intrigued me, it looked similar to a nuthatch, but had a long curved, pointy beak, like a Curlew. (But not that drastic) Anyway, from what I read, I guess there are a rash of birds that have enlarged beaks, cause unknown. But this is a group of Nuthatches that have enlarged beaks, I have video, but I'm still trying to get the one with the longest, curved beak. The others are only a bit larger.
I'm going through a very hard time in my life, which is why I'm not putting out my usual content these days. There are several video projects waiting to come to completion, and I do hope to get back on my feet soon so I can continue to do what I love. Thank you for the suggestion on unusual beaks, I appreciate your thoughtfulness.

I was in a serious accident and was hospitalized for an extended while. My wife left me. Lost my house and everything I owned, etc. I was so depressed, suicidal, but I found your channel. I have been feeding birds for a few months and have some Titmice and Chickadees that are so close to eating from my hand. It really makes my day as I get back into life. I am 98% better. Your videos and the birds have been miraculous.

Gorgeous birds, captured in their beautiful natural surroundings! I've been lucky enough to see loons on summer vacations in Maine, and then in winter a few times when I lived in Tennessee. Just magnificent birds, and their call is the heartsong of Nature. Thank you for this wonderful video!❤

When I was a small child living in southern Ohio we used to hear whip poor wills in the evening. I haven’t heard them in years. Love hearing the Loons.
Not sure if I could tell a loon from a duck.Their feet are set back further but not the typical view we get.😉
Loons are easy to differentiate: black head on a long neck, black and white spotted body.

I recently had a wonderful encounter with the resident loons on a northern Wisconsin lake where we were staying. Heading back to the dock after one last kayak trip around the cove, I spotted two loons right up by the dock -- the closest they had been to us! I silently glided up right between them, using my hands as rudders to slow myself down so the paddle wouldn't startle them. I stopped right in the middle of them, and saw the younger one eye me up before diving under. The one to my right in deeper water was so big! He looked at me and decided I was okay and just part of the lake, and I got to share space with him for a little while before he decided to dive under for a snack. My heart was filled, and my eyes filled, too. What a great joy it was to share in this moment with these beautiful loons! Thanks for this video, Lesley. I will play this vide whenever I need to relax. Thank you for the joy you bring by sharing your love for birds and nature.

Loons are marvelous birds. When I hear them calling up & down the lake at night, it’s reassuring. We know the lake is in good shape. Watching them fish is impressive, especially when they team up. The juveniles are hilarious when they get together, & the males try to show off for the females much like human teens.
Camping in NY Adirondacks, as a child with my family. Out on the lake in a canoe, just after sunset, we encountered a loon. So beautiful ❤️

Look at the babies! Beautiful! I heard a story once...a lady out hiking found a Loon on the ground, almost dead. She didn't know what to do, besides to call 911. Thankfully the operator knew about loons. She told the woman to get it in water. They cannot walk on land.....she did, and it went on it's way....thank the good Lord~ For the woman and for the 911 operator who knew what to do!~

I miss the sound of Loons in the summer in Minnesota where I am originally from. I don't miss the thunderstorms as much, those I don't mind not having. Here in the Seattle/Tacoma area of Washington State, we rarely get storms and rarely get Loons. Loons do winter in our state but mostly in the north Puget Sound and Straits of Juan de Fuca area.
