    That was an amazing video. So many opinions on this Nexus Pro X. All of them were good, and very well explained.
    I can't wait till I get one for myself.

      Thanks for the support. It's a solid blaster and offers a great price vs. performance ratio!

    Great review. I love how in-depth you get and how much data you collect. Since I'm not a competitive player, the offset barrel does not bother me. Thank you for your thoughts and opinions. Take care

      Thanks for your support! Yeah, I'm sure after playing with it for some time, I could get used to the lower barrel. Other than that, this blaster is a great purchase, especially for $50.

    In my opinion, the purple gen3's are the "true" gen3 dart, and the red gen3's are a different kind of foam density, and in my opinion should've been called gen4's, and not Gen3HE's. I pretty much only use the purple gen3's for flywheelers, for the same reasons you found, they're inconsistent for springers and air pressure, but do well under the crush of flywheels.

      Yeah I've got more testing to do but I'm definitely seeing the benefits to each dart now that I'm looking closer side by side.

      Purple are Gen 3. Red and black are Gen 2 High End.

      @@BradleyPhillipsYT Oh is that the difference? I never knew! I'm really curious to see what their version of a gen4 dart will be then!

    It is stupid accurate with the BCAR. In my little makeshift living room range. I can reliably stick darts in the crease of the cushion from 50ish feet. I'm going to put an optic on it and run it again

      For sure! Dart Zone definitely has good product here and based on my early observations a good jumping off point for modders. (Just like the original Nexus Pro!) Thanks for the support!

    I used to think your videos are just too long but now that I think about it there is a lot of information there for people that want all the details. It's not really something I would watch all the way through start to finish but it is convenient to be able to jump to the data I might want.

      I appreciate the feedback. I think with separating the unboxing and upgrade portions of my reviews out into their own videos I can keep the reviews mostly on topic and more stats based. I feel like the structure of my reviews lends itself well to someone looking for a specific piece of information about the blaster. I still have some work to do on my end but the reviews have come a long way since I started. Thanks for the support!

    That bothered me too when I saw the first release of this, re the barrel so low, it would bother me too, just doesn't even look right.

    • @backyardfoam
      @backyardfoam  4 місяці тому

      It's really hard too because the blaster does soooo much right! I really want to like it. I'm holding out hope that the Stryker 2.0 will have a centered barrel. Thanks for the support!

      I noticed this too when I was testing the nexus pro x with my seagull back to back. I felt o had more accuracy with the seagull I did have a Gavin fuzzy Bcar on my seagull and of course plastic bcar on the nexus and both are hitting the same at 200 fps. I ended up removing the scope and sight on the nexus and that seemed to help. Maybe it wasn’t lined up right and with the barrel being lower doesn’t help. But everything else about it I love. Just as powerful as my most powerful blaster at more than half of the price of my seagull.

    Jim! Amazing review, Just picked up the Aeon Pro X this past weekened and im loving it so far! What do you think of the Aeon Pro X? Just curoius man!

      @backyardfoam  3 місяці тому

      Thanks for the support! To be perfectly honest I never used the OG Aeon. Top prime blasters aren't really my thing but the Aeon Pro X does look pretty nice. I may have to give it a try

    60' range testing is nice. I like to play at 150-200fps, and the 100' range tests are a bit extreme for me. I only have one blaster that can hit 300fps, and I mostly use it for plinking, not actual games.

    • @backyardfoam
      @backyardfoam  3 місяці тому +1

      Hey thanks! After opening up the NPX, I think I'm going to upgrade it to a higher fps and us it for distance target shooting and plinking. My local wars are capped at 200 fps, but I still think there is potential in this blaster.
      Thanks for the support!

  • @BradleyPhillipsYT
    @BradleyPhillipsYT 4 місяці тому +1

    Aside from peaking corners, does the offset barrel make you have to aim significantly higher to hit targets?

    • @backyardfoam
      @backyardfoam  4 місяці тому +1

      I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary when plinking around. I think it's more of a perception thing. Looking down your sights, you can't see the end of the barrel, even with the bcar on. With that being said, maybe installing a slightly longer barrel may trick the mind into overlooking the off-center alignment.

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT
      @BradleyPhillipsYT 4 місяці тому

      @@backyardfoam speaking of longer barrels, any plans to upgrade it? From reading comments online it loves a 40cm barrel and if you get that upgrade spring pack Dart Zone are offering and throw in the spacers, you might clear 260-270fps.

    • @backyardfoam
      @backyardfoam  4 місяці тому

      Sure am! I'm currently designing a replacement 3d printed front end to allow for easy front-end barrel swaps. I've got the DZ springs order, so I should be able to finish up the front end and get to testing.

      @@backyardfoam one thing of note, apparently a lot of barrels we commonly use like Worker for example will have an air leak in the dart gate of this, so although a barrel nut is a good idea, once you have the ideal length figured out, I personally would glue it in.

    The only question, is it better then the Trion?

    They need to make gear up packs of like 6 mags and darts, mabye even some webbing with magpouch gear packs too, they already give eyewear so why not give us somewhere to put the mags

    • @backyardfoam
      @backyardfoam  3 місяці тому +1

      I agree it would be cool to have an accessory pack from them. One thing we need to keep in mind is that Dart Zone as a company is nowhere the size of, say, Nerf. So, putting out several different sub products may not be possible for them.

      @backyardfoam trust me I know lol I'm British, so I have to do extra work just to get the blaster since they don't sell DZ stuff in England, DZ have a long way to go in my opinion.

    I think you need to put Airsoft sight on it. And give it another shot.

    • @backyardfoam
      @backyardfoam  4 місяці тому

      I had a pinty sight on there for my precision tests and I feel they do an excellent job for nerf. About 3 or 4 minutes and I could have it zeroed in. Do you have a specific brand or model you use in airsoft you could recommend.

      @backyardfoam I use Feyachi Reflex Sight. I'm going to try a crossbow sight. I heard they work really well with Nerf Blasters.
