I just like the fact that DZ made an over compensator blaster that actually functions the way its supposed, where as when nerf does it its all for show and generally hurts overall function.
Now we just need the Mk5 to be a bullpup electronic springer. Ideally, with a manual priming option like the Vulcan, but taking half dart mags. Or designing a new style of half dart mag thats the size of a full length mag and having the front half have the feed lips on top and the back half having the feed lips on the bottom like the Tek Recon Havoc mag but for half darts. That kind of mag would make it much easier to top up on the fly and flip the mag when empty on one side
if we got a new faux double stack mag, i'd rather have the two columns side by side with a wall separating them. then you could have a blaster like the bulwark but with doublestack mag capacity
For those of us doing this for a while, and are capable of printing and building our own, that price point is not very attractive. But for people who don't posses the build skills, this is a great off the shelf option.

You wanna see the accuracy with the included darts, watch the official video from them showing accuracy, and its hilarious, because at 50 feet, using the long barrel, they hit the target, an where so happy with that one shot they did no more, which leads me to believe they tried for ages, and when they finally got a hit they quit.
They say the included magazines can be removed without priming back the spring because of the way they designed the lips on the new magazine. Only the included magazines can do it however

Thanks for the review. It is the 1rst review of the MK4 that I watched with somebody make an accuracy test and go for the bad & good of the product. Even when somebody get a product from a company. I believe this type of fair reviews is what make people buy, test, and recommend. About the Mod comments. If I'm a manufacturer. It is like stab just hear a review and people just thing how to get my items to mod. 😂
Grate video. I sold my swift to buy the Harrier and i love it way more. The mk4 is just way to expensive as you could buy two worker swifts for the same price as one mk4 in Australia.
It's actually neither of those, those are just both "backronyms" that people came up with trying to guess what it stood for after the fact, when the term was being commonly used, because they'd never in a million years guess what the letters actually stood for, since that's "String-based Auto-Centering and Rotating", which you'll notice doesn't spell SCAR, but instead "SACR". SCAR wasn't an acronym at all you see, the originator had just rearranged the letters to make the end result of their creation "sound cooler".
Sounds like between the Harrier and the Gameface Triton there's no real reason to buy this. I've been thinking a lot about this but holding off to see reviews as I only would have purchased the teal one, but now, meh. Looks like it's no competition. I'm sure it was more competitive at the time they first put pen to paper. I imagine a lot happened while they developed it though, and they just didn't adapt.
Much the same as I was thinking, I'm afraid. Thought it might be a real Harrier competitor, but the Harrier if nothing else is a smaller target - the MK4 is absolutely ENORMOUS and just more of a target for me to aim at, at least the way our rules work for games. If I want to hit silly 250+ FPS numbers, I'll use the Caliburn I got off eBay for $70 shipped. My Trion covers about 140-200ish FPS ranges, my Lynx can do basically anything below about 250FPS, and the Unicorn coming out soon has me more interested than the MK4 as an actual practical, useable blaster while being very compact and much cheaper too. I think you're probably exactly right in that when they sat down to develop this, probably 18-24 months ago, it seemed like a grand slam. With how fast the hobby moves, other products that were released in the meantime and a dash of bad luck, and you have a blaster that's probably about 6-9 months late to the party.
caliburn: cheaper, can easily hit higher, widely available, massive third party market (ultimate customizability,) more compact and easy takedown, talon claw for a smaller version, easy to mod, one of the more rigid 3d printed blasters that's not even to mention the off-the-shelf caliburn alternatives
As a fellow Washingtonian (More Eastern Seattle area) with poor insulation and no building above me, just black roofing that really catches that Sun, I can concur that summers suck for me too and I'm not using filming equipment that probably amps that temp up even more! I don't mind the winter even if it drops way below 50 degrees inside, but Summer sucks deformed Nerf Rival Balls.
I'm still torn between this and the Harrier. Either one, I plan on maxing it out. Overall, I'm looking for versatility of different fps caps and sustained reliability in performance. I want a blaster with the ability to be accurate at long ranges without being unwieldy. Looks like I have to wait for these to drop for some hard-core autismo levels of comparison videos.
@Carlton Simmons Jr. That is plus. Have you had any problems with internals yet? I've heard the Harrier has a plunger that is susceptible to breaking with higher spring loads. I know you can get an aftermarket metal plunger.
here are the mods i would want on it: 1: make it a bullpup to shorten and compact the blaster 2: give it more power with a larger spring 3: combine the S.C.A.R. barrel and the extension barrel AND... 4: add a sniper scope, bipod, and magazines please like if you agree and comment to share your thoughts
I found your channel because I was searching for parts for my Launcher knockoff of the Nerf Strayfe, then the fastest dart gun, then the Lepus, then your video on it. I have two Nerf Mavricks from my child hood I want to fix, then all the dart blasters Dollar Tree has sold, and now the Launcher one. I would LOVE it if you did a video on the Dollar Tree dart guns. But you can skip the orange one with green plastic darts. It is trash. Some time I am going to do a video on them as well. Thanks.
Does the scar fit on the avenger or it's bigger brother which it's name I forgot even though I have both of them. looks like that barrel extension needs rifling.
This blaster is a reworked Swift with a better catch system, but they still made the same fatal mistake on the dart gate, just like in the Swift, higher spring loads are gonna bust that up bad. And how close is your Shoot range Target? Looks like your not even 30 feet away from it, maybe 20 feet at best. At that range I got pistols that are more accurate at that range. And there was a reason the DZ people only took one shot with the extended barrel and left it at that, because they know the accuacy with the long barrel is aweful. Plus it looks like my 5 year olds designed it with a crayon. If I had to choose between the Harrier and this, the Harrier is a better blaster for the dollars, with more power right out of the box.
Man if only you could connect the scar barrel with the barrel extension. So I was at toys r us today and tried the trigger of the double punch, which felt too heavy for my old man fingers. How much lighter is the trigger pull once modded? I stood there staring at it thinking, "walcom says get one. but walcom says get one."

Honestly, I feel like with the modding community you could easily get a nerf gun that can shoot 250+ fps and spend under 50 dollars. I just got a x-shot lonshot pro and shoved in a better spring that cost around 10 dollars, and it instantly hits around 280 fps. Of course, it still has a little reliability issues and a much harder prime, but I think it's worth saving around $100.
Too bad you can't use the extended barrel *and* a SCAR. What's power without the accuracy? No matter how fast your dart flies if you're not hitting you're not getting tags.
It's really too big. Nice, but just too big unless you're going to be perched in one place as a dedicated sniper. Even then the foregrip draw is crazy long. I dislike the stock so very much. Worth $180? Sure, if the Harrier didn't already exist.
