Thanks for making this video, I learned something. I have 3 SKs I bought online from Japan and thought I was buying Side swimmers...... so this is helpful.
Great video bro, I need to do this to at least three of my Baits. I'm trying to push a new fishing knot that I invented called the "AJ OVERKILL" knot. It's a great knot for split rings and snaps. It's definitely stronger then the double Palomar and the double San Diego jam, and it works for all three types of line, If you get a chance please come over to my channel and take a look. Thanks again for the great information on switching over the bill.
The old Deps baits are made with a foam body instead of injected plastic. Some purists will only fish OG Deps but many say there really is no difference in the swim.
Process is similar but the weighting is different. There are also 2 versions of the 175: normal and rise up tune, with the rise up having a weight in the tail.
Maybe you might have covered this in the video and I missed it but why did you remove the tail weight? Do the slide swimmers not have weights in the tail? Will the bait swim with the front of the bait lower in the water and swim nosed down?
michael saechao The slide swimmer can cost a bit more and there are often a better color variety of Silent Killers available then there are of slide swimmers.
Newsflash. Silentkiller the better bait! Lol
Can you just replace the bill if you recently cracked a bill on a silent killer? And how would you go about putting the bill on?
Nice tutorial Don.. - Mike (SDBayBassMan)
Thank you hope to succeed, because in the wild a Slide Swimmer 250 prices.

Do you do SK conversions for other people? I'm interested in OG SlideSwimmers as well
I need to find a deps silent killer in that same exact color

Good vid . But how do you know the difference between the old and new deps?

how much did the front poured weight weighed? thanks for the insight
About 25 grams
Does this work with the new style silent killers or just the old ones?
just the old ones.
Is it the same process to tune a 175?

Don Nguyen Ok thanks, I have a regular silent killer with the deps tuning weights.

Because an og slide swimmer is alot more expensive than an og silent killer
