Warner crosses over the 55 and goes just north of the Brookhollow commercial complex if you ever want to take that to Grand or Main. On Irvine Blvd, you can just stay on Old Irvine (the route you were kinda forced on before DK Donuts) and just hit Newport to 17th. Good point, I hadn't thought that the Santiago Creek Trail made the main route shorter.
As a cyclist and a e biker for my safety I do not stay at a turn signal light when it's clear as soon as it is clear I move out of that intersection because of safety reasons and I advise anyone else to do the same
