    I am doing the same, but anything can get through chicken wire, so I'm covering with hardware cloth. Also I use hardware cloth because mice and rats can't easily get through. I assume you are blocking off top of door, too. Where I live, a raccoon or opossum would be in there first night. Love the color.

      Hi Sarah👋🏻yes we have heard that it’s not always sufficient. Which part of the world are you from. We are in South Africa. We have been looking around for the hardware cloth here, but have been struggling to find something similar and as strong as hardware cloth. For now, we invested in some cats to sort out the mice issue🤣luckily we do not have raccoon or opossum here, but we do struggle with monkeys and mongoose. We have been researching how to make egg boxes so that the eggs can role away safely into a holding area and out of reach from the monkeys
