Also does help that both the Ambulance or Fire trucks are also monitored by GPS so even without doing something stupid like crashing into a police station will eventually lead to you being caught if you stay with the apparatus for too long. With the Fire/Rescue agencies I volunteer on we also have driver camera's that record what a driver is doing while behind the wheel, that camera turns on the second the ignition is turned. The footage not only goes to the station house, but the PD's also gets a recording too.
I saw a video where a guy tried to rob a store and the women ran outside and locked the door from outside and he started pleading with them to unlock it. Also, Christmas 2023, we heard a noise outside bedroom door at 2am. Someone was outside, in his boxer shorts and moving everything on our porch. When the police arrived he told them all sorts of things. His mom lives here, he worked here and came to collect his money. He eventually even said he lived here and dunno where his keys were. Next morning, he was rummaging around in the grass outside our fence saying he's looking for his car keys. We found out, he went up to my brother in law's yard first, opened their car, left his keys there and came by us and was moving everything outside. He pulled a palm out of the ground. He said he was so drunk or was on something, he didn't actually remember what he did.
Whenever I think of a banana pipe, I think of Beverly Hills Cop when Axel puts a banana in Rosewood andd Taggart's tailpipe to prevent them from following him.

If he used an SUV the border patrol use had the same marking design and colors of the border patrol and was stupid enough to put a lightbar on the roof of the vehicle someone that is not hyper focused could mistake the vehicle as law enforcement which is what would get a person nailed with impersonation. There has been one police impersonator who has been arrested on impersonation charges at least 6 times. In the episode that got him on worlds dumbest he pulled over an off duty police LT, gave the LT attitude right from the start and actually tried making the threat he would arrest the Lt. Must have really been a Oh damn not again moment when the Lt showed him his very real police badge and id and informed him that the Lt was now placing the criminal impersonator under arrest. Want to say that also happened in FL. too in the Orlando area but that guy has a record all across the country for the same thing.
