I really resonate with you! everything you said in this video is exactly what I'm focusing on right now. I used to work for Sephora years ago and I was always "done up", from long nails, fake tan, the heaviest lashes, full blown makeup and bleached platinum blonde hair (I'm Asian with olive tone). I felt like I was night club ready every time I leave the house, it was just too much work to maintain trying to keep up an appearance. Shit hits the fan and all of a sudden, I didn't have the income or the time to be keeping up with the latest trend which truly affected my ego in a very negative way. fast forward to now, I still wear makeup here and there but I focused more on skin care (which I love). I still do hairstyles everyday for work but don't dye or use a lot of heat on my hair anymore. Lash treatment (it works!) over extensions. hitting up the gym makes me feel more sexier than showing more cleavage. Taking my supplements to nourish hair, nails, skin and my body. Self care/self love meant loving who I really am and taking care of my body/soul in a nourishing way. Im more comfortable with my self now and HEY! TBH I feel like guys notice me more now than I was when I always trying too hard lol. I'm still feel judged by other women at this phase in my life but I'm glad that there are women like you who promotes embracing natural beauty. Honestly speaking, you're gorgeous, you look like you could be a runway model in this video. Please continue this path of self embracing your natural beauty, I am with you! Subscribe!
omg I used to relate to this too. I agree their form of makeup requirement for workers and the culture (ofc derived from mainstream beauty and consumerism is toxic!)
Makeup really does have bad effect on yourself esteem people need to understand once you start to wear makeup and you make it part of your everyday routine it will affect the way you see yourself without it. Work with what you have and you’ll feel a lot better take more pictures without it too it works 😌
M M agreed! Starting slowly to wear less makeup made such a difference for my self esteem.. I starting taking better care of my skin and it’s not at the point where even if I have a blemish I can be out and public with little to no makeup and feel totally fine! Never would have thought that for myself😊
This is the first and only video I’ve seen of yours so far and you are INCREDIBLY gorgeous and you seem so genuinely sweet. Honestly it’s hard to picture you “all done up” because you are just so gorgeous the way you are naturally!!
I typed "embracing natural hair color" then I found yours 😊 It's almost 2 years since I had my hair dyed. I'm planning to embrace my natural black hair and I'm almost there. Love your content! Love from the Philippines ❤️
Loved this! I have always been a time and a place type of girl since I think makeup is fun but I am definitely too lazy to maintain it daily lol. 😅 I found this from searching ‘embracing natural hair colour’ and I’m so glad I did! I have been dyeing my hair crazy colours since 2016 and I’ve been growing out my first and only bleach job for over a year now- I was about to dye my hair again but do a permanent ginger colour, and my hair stylist had to reschedule. It gave me a few days to research and it sorta hit me that I actually want to embrace my natural colour. ^_^ I’m excited for it to be all my natural and not half bleached.
Getting my teeth straightened atm, to enhance my beauty, love your natural look girl, way to go. :) I agree on everything, just take care of yourself and workout.
Love love love this i really appreciate you sharing with us. This is exactly what i needed. I use minimal make up more of a lipstick girl with mascara and power light blush and call it a day and just seeing other girls/women with fake eyelashes, fake nails etc.. has made me feel bad and to plane about myself i get insecure of my freckles that show with the power and was thinking of getting full coverage liquid foundation to hide them but NO im gonna embrace! I also stopped dying my hair and straightening it I'm gonna leave it natural and curly.
You’re absolutely stunning and your dog is absolutely adorable I love these types of videos keep doing what you’re doing
I love the natural look, natural nails, natural hair, natural with no makeup 💕
You look great!
